My Mom and my Dad had dinner with Marlo Thomas at a restaurant in NYC (and, if I remember correctly, it was an Italian one). That was during the 60s when this show was still the hit of the land, and my Dad was an executive at ABC TV. Ted 'Donald' Bessell was not there at the time. According to my Mom, Marlo told her that she reminded her of Mary Tyler Moore.
Lew sticking up for Donald. That is a first.
I love Ted Bessell. He was one of a kind - and, a gifted classical pianist.😊

When I watch such series and of course they are funny, I have a lot of tears for men in those days.

The relationship between Donald and the girl is too brother/ sister like, both are quite young, to lose such an opportunity will not return, but a relationship is sometimes only an illusion.
Good that the writers do not proof Donalds view, good for that girl.
