I love how simple and clean and uncluttered the decor in the homes are
... yes - the Breakfast nook just like a diner : I am going to make one of those ...
Sally was and still is a beautiful spirit.
I love her reactions 😂❤
It’s nice that most of us were watching the same thing. There weren’t many choices, so we could talk to each other about it. Today, there are thousands of programs to listen to and we aren’t all on the same page, so we’re not really talking about the same things that give us pleasure. It’s seems mostly horrible world news that is in our faces 24/7. I’m glad we have these memories.❤️
Love, love, LOVE this show! Such happy memories of the 1960s, such great time to grow up!
... you grew up watching this show !?
... I blame it for keeping me kiddish and immature - I am still Young at Heart ❤️ , actually !
Classier homes. Classier dialogue on TV shows. A classier world. No vapidity here.
The year of this episode is 1965, which is the year of my birth. I just turned 58! 😳🤣
Happy birthday
ME, 68 🤔
@@Kara-kx1lb Thanks! It was last month actually. But isn't Sally Field the cutest here? And turned out to be a damn fine actress! "Norma Rae" was her best IMO.
@@lemurianchick you're welcome, Sally Field was so awesome. Norma Rae was a really good movie!!!
I'm 68, and I was ten when this premiered. LOVED this show! Super time to be growing up. Wouldn't trade it for anything, would not be growing up today for anything either.
GIDGET Love love love this show! Grew up in the 60s...the best of times to grow up in.❤ Thank you for these precious shows.
This is Sally field at 18!
Omg 😮
I wish they had made more than one season of Gidget, I really enjoy this show.
If anyone has any recommendations for shows with a similar vibe, I'm all ears 😊
It was only one season wow I liked this show even though I wasn't born when it came out I caught the reruns when it was on Decades they had a binge so I watched and like it
Any family shows from the 1950s and 1960s are terrific and worth watching. I would not be growing up today for anything. I was born in 1955, and it was a great time to grow up.
Yes,it was, 1954 here. The best of memories for me. ❤️
@WinterWind You might also enjoy Dobie Gillis or The Patty Duke Show.
@@gidneyandcloyd Thanks!
Somehow she still looks the same 59 years later. Amazing.
And…. hows about that MUSTANG! ❤❤❤✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Loved this show when I was 12 years old. I’m 33 now but have always loved the 30s-60s

Sally field dawn wells Barbara eden classic tv beauties
Me too Happy Birthday
*"....A COMPLETE AND TOTAL 'ICK'....." !???* (0:04) ...ha-HAA!! ...ah, that 60's lingo.... (0:29)
I can remember seeing this show vaguely at the age of 4 (makes me the youngster of 62 pushing 63 for the ones admitting their ages when they watched this classic)......I think this was ABC's first show to make its debut in color......there were other shows that were in place that eventually made the switch from black and white to color......
I have gidget dvds so funny
u can buy them they were on tv before dont remember where and some goofy series called my mother the car weird dick van dykes brother was in those
That ‘70s show it’s a great show from blue pictures television.
Is that a young Sally Fields?
Yes it is she played like she was 15 but in real life she was 19
Her name is FIELD.
Always had a thIng for her pal Larue!
The end credits had Pete Duel's character's name wrong they put Larry instead of John. But they got his real full name correct ( before he changed the spelling of his last name).
How is Sally Field looks the same
That's the Bewitched house. Rearranged though
Nope.
The interior is from the Donna Reed Show.
The exterior of the house was from I Dream of Jeannie/Father Knows Best.
It’s too bad television producers these days never watch this stuff that’s why there’s nothing but crap on anymore
... the Studio folks have tried to Cancel almost every good TV show ever offered to them - they have no vision at all for what will be a Hit Show ...
...when I read about a Television Programme on Wikipedia...I am surprised that anything ever got made , because the Studios fought them every inch of the way ...
The feet shot at 5:20. 🤢
... I know Exactly what you mean - Gidget ... I mean Sally Fields ... has had more than a reasonable amount of scenes like that in her movies , too : she is ABSOLUTELY into her feets. The Super - Sharp , must be High Definition Colour of this Television 📺 Programme just makes them look all the Cuter ... I can Count her individual Toes in the Close-ups : This Little Piggies 🐷 Piggies 🐷 are going to Market !
