My monstera adansonii hangs in a west window where there is a large maple tree outside. I was worried it might be too dark there. It grew 6 " long over the summer. It touched the floor and I had to cut it back. I love it, it works like a curtain for privacy.
I wanted trailing plants in my master bathroom, which only has one small northeast facing window. The light level is gloomy - like just before a storm - and what absolutely works well is English ivy. What I discovered was a sorry soggy mess. Rotten rhizomes, and ONE that still has roots and it's OVERWATERING that killed it😱
I have killed EVERY spider plant that I've ever had. I don't like them. Idk what they want. I get one that super happy with babies and all, and it goes in the trash within a few months. :( Too much water, too little water, tap water, distilled water, lots of light, indirect light, low light, fertilizer, 1/4 strength fertilizer, higher humidity area, low humidity area, it DOESN'T MATTER what I do, they all croak.
I have always had success with my spider plants, the babies that grow I pick off and leave in water for a few weeks to develop some strong roots, then pot them up.
I just found an office plant thought it was a mopnsteria but its not but very simular. I live in Canada so seeing it outside ment noone wanted it so I took it home had a shower (it was infested with mealy bugs)with it clean the leaves soaked it, now its in my front window but maybe I should move it, its 6 C here today...ficus elestica hates me, Ihad to stop buying em.
My Ficus elastica was in a darker spot and started losing leaves (down to just one leaf per stem!) but when I moved it to a brighter spot, it started to thrive.
I bought a Schefflera 2 weeks ago and I'm sad because the leaves keep going brown, soft and falling off. Only watered once since I got it cos the soil seemed pretty wet. Doing research hasn't really helped, figured it must be over or under watering. It's currently 4 on my moisture meter (have same kind you use). It's in good, indirect light amongst a lot of my other plants that are doing well. I seem to struggle with plants people say are easy (umbrella plant, peace lily, monstera) but do ok with ones that are tough! (Like calathea)

Too wet or too dry soil? Or too little light?
same! I bought one two weeks ago and it's causing me stress, I just can't seem to do anything right on it 😥
Mine didn't want to be inside. I put it outside and it's quite happy. Maybe yours wants a change in environment
😊
I just found an office plant thought it was a mopnsteria but its not but very simular. I live in Canada so seeing it outside ment noone wanted it so I took it home had a shower (it was infested with mealy bugs)with it clean the leaves soaked it, now its in my front window but maybe I should move it, its 6 C here today...ficus elestica hates me, Ihad to stop buying em.
Much less 'singing' in this clip: was that on purpose or because of being tired or down?
Early video I guess
My Ficus elastica was in a darker spot and started losing leaves (down to just one leaf per stem!) but when I moved it to a brighter spot, it started to thrive.
Mine did a similar thing
❤❤❤❤ hit wrong button and it printed baby girl
Can’t get my zz to root
❤❤Love you too baby girl I
💚
I bought a Schefflera 2 weeks ago and I'm sad because the leaves keep going brown, soft and falling off.
Only watered once since I got it cos the soil seemed pretty wet. Doing research hasn't really helped, figured it must be over or under watering.
It's currently 4 on my moisture meter (have same kind you use).
It's in good, indirect light amongst a lot of my other plants that are doing well.
I seem to struggle with plants people say are easy (umbrella plant, peace lily, monstera) but do ok with ones that are tough! (Like calathea)
I’d have a look at the roots. If any are black and mushy then cut them out. Hopefully it should bounce back
love monstera but they are extremely toxic to cats.
Sorry but your devils ivy needs much more light. It has lost all its natural variegation and converted to green leaves.
My spider plants die
They like dry soil. Don't water too much. Spiders survive on neglect
I don't think you feel well today because you seem very spaced out you seem very tired you may be sick I hope you feel better
Wish to see your plants in the real place . If they are really inside your house
I just discovered all your plant videos! Can all these plants go outside when the tempeture is perfect? I live in North Central Illinois and I havwe been putting my 10 100 year old plants outside in the summer and they love it! But what about the house plants? I really want to buy a Rubber or Ficus plant! Very grateful for your videos!
Yep when the min temps are high enough they can go outside
😊
