anybody that wanna know if this works it does… i have a mk4 golf and i just got mine in the mail today because my dragonball knob wouldn’t fit but this adapter made everything so much better and it shifts even better i would highly recommend it its 10 bucks!!!
I also have a Golf 4, and my question is how you can attach the shift boot to the adapter, or where you generally attach the shift boot, because the original is only attached with clips that you have to bend open and then it is pulled out
@@marcusjager9186 oh idk personally mines is bootless rn lol but I’m pretty sure there’s some Oem shift Kobe where u can take the knob out and put a new knob in and keep the boot or just find a good boot
The worst part of any jetta/golf is that 5 speed shift knob. It was the 1st thing I replaced. Should be a 6 speed from factory
Wtf why should it? Its a 5 speed trans why should they put a 6 speed knob on it.

What to do if you still want the boot ? I have a new like boot but i dont like the knob
I saw your car and found this channel
But why get rid of da boot
seeing the linkages maybe? looks kinda neat imo
Mine was ripped and pealing in certain areas. Looked ugly
@@_DubsDailywhy didnt u change it? U have a hole inthere now
@@_DubsDaily looks even uglier without it
@@AG-mo1wdyea id keep a boot on it. More than just cosmeticly. Keeps dust and particles out. Even honda in their early nsx”s had a cloth boot.
for mk4 1.2 mm or 1.5 ??
I have this it constantly loosens and it annoying. Going to replace the shaft with a threaded one soon
I personally never had that issue with mine. Even installed it on the rsx I have now and still no issues
@@_DubsDaily I just upgraded to a newer one, same adapter just has 8 screws instead of 4 works great
whats the name of that one? im having the same issue. If you have a link thatd be great
