I’m a fan of the black, stealthy, minimalist kinda bikes but man, this was really well done. A lot of people really go overboard when building bikes but you picked the right amount of flare to personalize and spice up the look of your bike. 👌
Thanks much! Same here. I like when people add subtle mods that go a long way. I was worried about the oversize pully wheel being too much flare. (But, since that blew up, the worry was canceled. 🤣) On overcast days, the bike just looks like the factory color 😎
Thanks! For what it's worth, you might be able to catch a good deal on an SL7, but might be limited on colorways. However, you can't go wrong with an SL8!
It's been incredible! I was cycling for a few years before I decided to invest in such an expensive frameset. The deal I made with myself was, if I bought this thing, I better put all my focus into improving my fitness. Over the years of owning this machine, I've dropped a considerable amount of weight and have maintained a very consistent workout schedule.
@@ramsden35 Thanks much!!! Purchasing this bike was the pinnacle of my decision to take fitness seriously. The frame was so expensive, I had to justify why I needed to buy it. I couldn't continue eating my weekly In-n-Out burger meals and scarfing down pints of ice cream nightly. 🤣
very cool project, amazing paintjob! I am considering to build up my own SL7 and have made a list of all the parts...just need to figure out what kind of tools I need. BTW I wouldnt worry too much about the destroyed absolute black pully wheel, check out Hambinis channel, if you don't know it already. cheers
Thanks a lot!! For tools, a good hex key set, socket set, carbon blade and handsaw to cut fork, Internal Cable Routing kit ($18 on Amzn), and torque wrench. That's really all I used. (Cup socket for the bottom bracket too.) Also, don't forget to get insulating rubber for the internally routed cables. Otherwise, you'll hear the hoses banging around inside the frame. Aaaah, Hambini... I didn't know he did a review on the AB ospw, I'm going to go watch it!

Looks incredible!
came out so dope!!
What was the final weight for this masterpiece?
I enjoyed your video. That's a beautiful paint job by MadeRad. I'm currently deciding whether to get an SL8.

oh my god doesn't that just look amazing just wondering how many bikes do you have in your garage I saw a few hanging in there ?
Thank yah!!! Bikes have become a bit of a problem for my wallet, lol! At the time of shooting the video, I had 4 bikes. (I'm down to 3 now.)
Oh my! Stunning what does it feel like to own your first super bike?

@@smouvemouvesunderstandable, I love seeing people get something they’ve earned for and really want.
