Love it. I hope I'll be able to do it (Yoho National Park and Kootenay National Park) in day hikes. I struggle a little bit to find information about hikes to be honest.
I will definitely read that! I am hoping to do the CDT next year, so ruggedness is definitely what I'm craving. The PCT was incredible, but I felt almost too civilized for a lot of it. I'm sure you had similar feelings at some points. Thanks for the info, and congrats on the yo-yo. No small feat!
Yup, we felt the PCT was pretty busy, and we did it in 2014...with the numbers going up significantly since then. I really did enjoy aspects of the community though - if you're having a down day, other people bring you up. But hiking with this guy (Dan) was a real treat, as he is Mr. Positive. His trail name is Lorax (as he's a real environmental ranter), but secondary names include GPS (as he is a navigational genius), The Plant Whisperer (OBSESSED with botany on the trail) and of course, Mr. Positive :)
Another great and inspiring chapter. Thank you for sharing. I've been meaning to ask - what's the deal with the tire you carried for a while? Yours or just some junk you packed out?
Hmm well at least you got through eventually, I think that whole section is supposed to be closed for the entire 2018 season. You may very well be the last hikers through there for quite some time! Great videos by the way, I’ve done several pieces of this trail by never a through hike. Random camping in the alpine meadows south of Cataract Pass is probably my favorite back country experience to date.
Dan Durston how many days did it take you to do that leg? I might have to pull out some maps, I’ve been looking for a 4-7 day trip for this summer and now you’ve got me thinking...
Breathtaking scenery. You both have such a wonderful positive outlook. Cheers to you!

Stunning. I have to do this now. Thank you for the inspiration!
Have you done any of the triple-crown trails? If so, did it feel more rugged compared to any of them?
I will definitely read that!

Just found your channel, and all I have to say is wow... Great scenery, and cinematography!
Stunning

Oh yea! I did see that and somehow didn't make the connection.
T was hula hooping with it, which expanded to full size hula hoop.
Were you able to finish to Waterton before the whole area burned?
