Wow, that’s a long travel day! But Japan would be amazing!!! Some destinations are just worth the really long, sucky travel day to get there. Hope that we could help you better prepare for it. You’ll have to let us know when you get back how it was. Will your layover be long enough to explore those cities too? That’s always a fun way to make such a long travel day a little easier. But you have to be there long enough you can go through customs etc. to make it worth leaving the airport. Sometimes you can do a delayed layover and get a full day there. Something to think about. 🤔
@@corefouradventures2861, that last part I didn’t know about. Sounds interesting, however, it’s like 2hrs-13hrs, depending on which I choose. I’m still considering, but highly ambitious.
@@jordancantu3397 Yeah, you might be able to do it with the 13 hour layover. Less than 5 hours doesn’t seem worth even trying. If you decide to do it, you might consider some of those tours from sites like www.getyourguide.com/ They have tours that will pick you up at the airport. They will watch your luggage while you do the tour and take you back.
Great video! I like what you say about giving people lots of grace. Not everyone travels frequently. The more understanding we can be of one another, the better. I eat at a good meal at an airport restaurant before a long-haul flight. Healthy food, high in protein, nothing greasy. Airline food usually makes my stomach turn. I'd suggest carrying your favorite over the counter headache medicine. I once had a terrible headache on a red-eye flight; luckily the flight crew had individually wrapped Tylenol and gave me one but I should have been prepared. Also Benadryl for anyone with environmental or food allergies.
Those are GREAT suggestions, especially eating a good healthy meal before boarding. And yes, we agree, not everyone is a frequent traveler. Most people are just trying to figure it all out.
Just found you. Love that you had so much fun on NCL. I'm going on my first ncl cruise in February for 13 days transatlantic. 15 cruises on carnival ❤️
@@clairerutledge2618 OMG! We hope you love in NCL as much as we have. And we have to admit we’re pretty jealous of you going on a transatlantic. Definitely a bucket list item for us. Are you considering getting the thermal pass for your trip? On a transit Atlantic I think it would make it feel so luxurious. But the cost is dependent on the number of days, etc. We’re so glad you found our channel!! Welcome. 😁❤️🚢
We looked at it. Does it poke you in the neck? I was a little worried it would be uncomfortable. So you’ve used it? It just feels like a big investment. We want to make sure we’re making a wise choice.
I’ve tried all the neck pillows, with most being fails. Long necks required, (not me), for trtl and cabeau, especially if using over ear headphones. I’m currently happy with the bcozzy model, from Amazon. There are molded, no compression on eye ball eye masks. Compression socks should not be an option to help prevent blood clots in legs.
What great advice! We will have to check out that bcozzy model. I was very concerned about the turtle not working with my lack of neck. And we also completely agree with compression socks. It’s a must for us!
Ice 🧊 in your water bottle can get through TSA as it isn't a liquid. After security check, I refill with water. My water is chilled throughout my long-haul flight.
We tried to bring ice on our way to Mexico and we weren’t allowed. I would take it just in case they don’t say anything but be prepared for any and all results! 😊
Well it is! Of course, that’s why we always try to strategize so we aren’t sitting by people we don’t know. We raise the armrests. We try to leave ourselves as much legroom as possible. And we get up and move around as much as possible. Do you have any other tips for plus size travelers?
@@corefouradventures2861 book premium economy, book airlines with 2 -4-2 when only traveling with a skinny friend, so get as much room as possible, but it is hell on long haul in normal economy
We love to get the 2 seats together trick, we use it as much as possible 😁 we also love premium economy but sometimes it’s just not in our budget. Thanks for sharing such great tips! ✈️
Although the bathrooms are very tight. All four of us are able to use them. It’s not super comfortable but it is doable. Just make sure you wear shoes to the bathroom. That floor gets gross towards the end of the flight. ✈️
This video felt so professionally done. I will soon find this all useful soon.
Thank you SO much! That really makes our day😁 Are you traveling soon? Where are you going to?
@@corefouradventures2861 I’m planning on going to Japan, but most planes have layovers in Turkey or Sweden with an estimated flight of 38-48hrs.
