I booked awhile ago with the upgraded package for Starbucks, extra dining, WiFi and to get the second person shore excursion. Plus we’ve already purchased 5 excursions. I feel like they should honor it for those who already purchased the upgraded package. I’ll look into this, but not very happy with this. Thank you for this. I hadn’t heard anything yet or seen an email.

The plus package used to include the 50$ shore credit for the second passenger but that seems to not be talked about!
Yes, it is unfortunate that they discontinued the plus package. The additional excursion credit is nice. We have a feeling they are going to launch a new upgrade with the Connoisseur’s collection, extra cruise credit, streaming internet, etc. We still have a couple months before more at sea goes into effect so….😁🚢

thanks for posting, we are booked for a panama canal cruise in February 2025 we booked a long time ago and purchased an upgrade for additional dining glad we did. also we booked as early as we did. also we were grandfathered in on a spa balcony cabin, was really sorry to see that category go away, we love the thermal suite. with the things going away with NCL especially n regards to their entertainment we always loved having two broadway shows will miss that on a 15 night cruise. keep up the posting,,,
@@raybrown8887 So lucky! To get the upgraded dining still and the Thermal Suite pass with the Spa balcony cabin. Luckily you can always buy a Thermal Suite pass for any sailing. But, not having the connoisseur collection spelled out seemed a little odd. so we checked with them, and they have not released what will be in that collection??? Hopefully they won’t just move all the good alcohol right back into that collection. Thanks so much for watching!😁🚢

Yes. Book last minute. I have from Long Beach. My closest last minute was 2 days before the 7 day Mexican rivera on the panorama. It was great. No waiting.

So a 7 day cruise, balcony cabin with 3 meals is $270 more at sea compared to $172 with free at sea?
@@natron06 Yes the pricing did go up with this change. It appears about $100 more for a 7 night cruise. 🚢
I think I lucked out I get more at sea for a bit. Was paying $118 for 2 specialty dinning
It sounds like it! And you get the better alcohol package. We love the specialty dining too. So, getting an extra one in the future doesn’t sound bad at all.

Great information, thanks! YES...last minute cruise would be so fun (but maybe had to pack for!). Do you guys normally buy travel insurance through NCL? And...love the prints in the background! How many are there?!?!?
@@KM-cv5px We think so too. Although I think we’d still have to make a spreadsheet even that last minute. As for travel insurance, we have gone through the cruise line and independent parties. Depended on what we were doing on the trip. There are nine prints behind us. We love them too!! we joke we are trying to get tic-tac-toe with places we’ve been. Thanks so much for watching!!😁🚢🧳✈️

Good video! Are mixed drinks/mixed drink specials(i.e., Pina Colada, Malibu Bay Breeze, Bahama Mama) included in the More at Sea drink plan? Does NCL charge a gratuity on alcoholic drinks even if we have pre-paid gratuities when we booked? Thank you very much!
@@eegleman mixed drinks are definitely included in the more at sea. They do not charge additional gratuities if you’ve already prepaid your gratuities. In some ports, there is a VAT tax. But this is not a gratuity. And there will be a sign at the bar if the VAT is in effect. Hope that helps!😁🚢

Are the loyalty programms affected? We are Sapphire members and currently get 2 extra dining packages on 7 to 12 day cruise
@@bonnytiler2119 This is not affecting the loyalty program as of now. They just changed Free at Sea. Hopefully they will continue to reward their loyal guests!! 😁🚢

Just a question about the More at Sea. I have been told that we pay all the taxes on every drink and are billed at the end of our cruise. Is this correct? We have paid our gratuity upfront with our final payment.
@@jamesdriggers3491 no, that is incorrect. If you have already paid your gratuity upfront for that package, you don’t have anymore to pay for it. You will still have the daily gratuity charge if you haven’t paid that ahead of time. But that has nothing to do with the drink package. There is a VAT tax in some countries that everyone pays for every drink. We are liberal with the drinks on vacation and it did not add up to much for us. But, it is a TAX, you’ve already paid the gratuities. And, if there’s a VAT tax in place there will be a sign at the bar telling you about it. Don’t want to pay the tax? Just wait until the ship gets back in international waters. 😁 Hope that helps! 😁🚢
I think it’s crap I don’t get to keep my free sea plus I booked this summer for my Alaskan cruise in April 2025..I had unlimited Wi-Fi ..$50 excursions credit for 1st and 2nd passenger.. water bottles and unlimited Starbucks included .. Booooo
It's really unfortunate that they've made these changes and took away the free Sea Plus perks, but hopefully, the new upgrades will be worth it! And, by April, they may launch a new upgrade package. We feel like they may come out with one sooner or later.

They refuse to list the included "upgraded" alcohol. Woodford Reserve is not "top shelf" bourbon at all ($30 bottle). I purchased the FAS Plus and they canceled that on me. I bought it specifically to get true top shelf bourbon. NCL refuses to provide the list of what they claim is "better". Had I not already purchased the Plus plan, I'd have no gripe. However, everyone that purchased the Plus package should be grandfathered into it. After all, we paid for it! Additionally, they refuse to tell me what they are refunding to me for the Plus package. I paid $539pp upgrade cost. THEY will decide what they think the drink portion of the package is worth. On top of that, they took away Starbucks and Sparkling Water. Again, I paid for these things, and they should honor the deal.
@@Derek1105 So sorry that happened to you. They definitely said they would be refunding everyone so, hopefully they will stand by that. They have not released what is included and what is in the Connoisseur Collection. It sounds like that’s more your style. Hang in there and have a great trip!!😁🚢

I usually do the Boston/Bermuda cruise in the Spring, but after I saw the rate for April 2025.......$2500 for an INSIDE CABIN.........bye NCL!!!
That does seem pretty steep for an inside cabin. But, we did just want to mention that now includes all the port fees, taxes, and other fees due to California Honest pricing laws. And, NCL has adopted that across the US. So, other than gratuity, that should be your total. Have you ever cruised on a different cruise line? 😁🚢
