Triple Fighter will always be one of my favorite tokusatsu series. It’s not only very nostalgic for me, but I just love everything about the series. Thanks for a great video!
Back in May I had Covid and decided to binge the series since I hadn’t touched the DVD I bought in almost a year. At the beginning of the show the lack of budget was definitely apparent, but towards the middle, the show improved greatly in my opinion. The last four/five-or-so episodes were some of the best and my favorites, you can tell they might’ve bumped up their budget a bit for those ones lol (most likely to end the show with a bang). I was actually pretty sad when I finished the series, I’ve always loved Triple Fighter but after seeing it in its entirety it for sure became one of my favorite tokusatsu shows! It makes me really upset I never tuned in to watch the episodes when they were being uploaded daily to Tsuburaya’s RUclips channel back in 2016~2017. But at least I have it on DVD so I can watch it all again! I love your videos so much dude, keep up the incredible work! I always get excited seeing a new video from you in my feed☺️
I can see where the Ultra series Ultramen Rosso & Blu have taken inspiration from! The siblings theme. Their head/helmets design. Even the youngest sister, Ultrawoman Grigio's color scheme looks similar! Plus their combined triple form, Ultraman Gruebe looks like Triple Fighter in my opinion.
Right? This man is really doing some in depth work, here! And he always gets back to fans! I absolutely want to support this guy. Great call 🤙 to Mention this. Hope all is well, and God bless.
I just love that 70s patrol style look with these vehicles and uniforms. That must be why I like the visula and the idea of Strada 5. The interesting thing about this series is this division, even the episode is presented like 11-1,11-2,11-3 and putting it all together is like a traditional episode of a series. This reminds me of the old Tokusatsu like Gekko Kamen that were also followed but the difference was that they were full 24min episodes divided into segments
Bonus: Tsubaraya DID give a HUGE shout out to Triple Fighter in the Ultraman Saga movie, the henshin scene and Ultraman Saga’s head are based on Triple Fighter!🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Much love to you, Japan Hero. You are making great content and I I'm constantly learning about things that I passed over when I first discovered Kaiju as a kid. I was more of a movie fan, not so much the Ultraman television show fan. They were cool, but again. I really just prefer Godzilla and then to a lesser extent camera. I know I've mentioned this before but specter man was probably my favorite out of all of the TV superheroes. They have a huge following in the united states, as well South America. It's sad, however that we can't find any media really regarding them. Of course Ultraman and power rangers and such are what people are really getting into. We can't get specter man even on DVD out here. I do have the complete series, however it's definitely a bootleg. In my late teens and early 20s, I was fortunate enough to work for a Chicago television station that had many of the old specter man episodes on a betamax card. I was able to take and make copies of most of the ones available. Someday I'll put them online I don't get a copy right strike from it hahaha. Okay. I do apologize. Again. You're making fantastic content for us to enjoy, any amount of research and care that goes into it is definitely noticeable. So don't think for a second that we don't see the passion that you have for the subject. Hopefully as my position increases in my job, I'll be able to do a little more than just something from a patreon here and there. Hope all is well with you, and keep up the Great work. One more thing. When can we expect to see a specter man episode? You have mentioned him in the past on here, but I am still very anxious to hear about its inception and initial run on Japanese television. Okay. One more thing before I let go. I do apologize for dictating this coming into my phone. I'm having a hard time typing as it is, so this is the next best thing. Aside from a few grammatical errors, as well as some problems with sentence structure, I'm fairly certain that you understand everything I'm trying to convey here. I do apologize for lol. I don't like misspelling words and writing run on sentences. Even though this is more conversational in tone, I still would like to think that I'm capable of communicating the best way I possibly can with the English language. Hahaha. Ok. Enough of me rambling on. Super happy to see this video, and I plan to be watching this channel more frequently. Much love, good sir, and thank you for all that you do!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the passion you share for these characters and Godzilla! I love the big G and also grew up on all the original films. In fact, I have a soft vinyl Godzilla figure on my desk. I first watched Spectreman via the 1984 Wonderland Video release here in the U.S. I became an immediate fan of the series, eventually finding VHS copies of the entire Japanese series many years later. Spectreman, like several other shows I'm eager to cover and am particularly passionate about will take a bit longer to get to. First I need to improve the quality of my presentation on this channel. And I still have a long way to go until I feel like I can do justice to Spectreman and other shows I'm particularly fond of like Carranger or the classic Ultra Series. 😀 I promise I will get to it though! After all, I can't let Dr. Gori down!
At 5:09, the suit actor adjusting his stance made him look like doing a little booty shake, and yeah... the monster suit was really cheap looking almost seems like it was constructed in a single cast, spray painted, and with almost no added pieces. Most notably around the mouth area.
I would like to inquire as to where you got your footage of triple fighter from, for I would very much like to see a little of the series, but can't find it anywhere on youtube.
I didn't, but I'm trying some new combinations of audio levels and noise suppression. Thank you for calling this out! As it happens my voice was not 100% up for this video-you can hear it give out in a couple of spots-so by overcompensating maybe I found a better combination of settings.
@@JapanHero I have produced a few records in my day and heard the difference right away. I can hear you 'pushing' your voice on occasion (but I have dog ears - so I bet no one else can.) but the compression sounded great. I wouldn't do much more - your 's' sounds are never too sharp or distort but could get close with too much more. ...this is a VERY technical opinion/ advice - I hope not unwarranted - cuz I love your videos, and love how they are always improving in a technical way. Keep up the amazing work!!
I agree. But imo the one that suits Triple Fighter's theme is Ultramen Russo, Blu n Ultrawomen Grigio. Especially Grigio's color scheme and their combined form. Plus they're siblings too!
I had to look this one as I wasn't familiar with it. Looks very cool! Thank you for sharing it. Unsure when I would be able to get to it, but it's on my radar now.😀📡
I was originally going to just edit it to remove some of the b-roll, but it's been long enough that I'm just going to do a new version when I have extra time. Thanks for calling this out though, it's a good reminder for me to get it done.
I also hope more of Tsuburaya's lesser known shows get a western release like Fireman, Fight! Mighty Jack, Izenborg, etc.
Absolutely! Oh man, I would love to see a domestic release of those, especially Mighty Jack!
When I first heard Mighty Jack’s theme song, I had it stuck in my head for a solid three weeks. Got me through a good portion of my freshmen year
Triple Fighter will always be one of my favorite tokusatsu series. It’s not only very nostalgic for me, but I just love everything about the series. Thanks for a great video!
Thank you very much! I appreciate you watching this episode and your feedback.
It looks like the triple fighters inspired r/b with the sibings as heroes and the rassu having similar head shape to them

I believe it’s a missed opportunity that Triple Fighter didn’t become a giant and fought Kaiju when they merged into the gold version.
I am curious as to what the ending of the show was about with thst final scene.
The OG r/b
I would like to inquire as to where you got your footage of triple fighter from, for I would very much like to see a little of the series, but can't find it anywhere on youtube.
Did you get a new mic? The vocal recording sounds WONDERFUL!
I didn't, but I'm trying some new combinations of audio levels and noise suppression. Thank you for calling this out! As it happens my voice was not 100% up for this video-you can hear it give out in a couple of spots-so by overcompensating maybe I found a better combination of settings.

and Ultraman Saga is somewhat a homage to Triple Fighter, Saga being a fusion of three Ultramen.
I agree. But imo the one that suits Triple Fighter's theme is Ultramen Russo, Blu n Ultrawomen Grigio. Especially Grigio's color scheme and their combined form. Plus they're siblings too!
Reminds me of zone fighter
Can you review Armor Hero next
I had to look this one as I wasn't familiar with it. Looks very cool! Thank you for sharing it. Unsure when I would be able to get to it, but it's on my radar now.😀📡
@@JapanHero glad i can spread the word of Armor Hero
This is Tsuburaya's kamen rider
why you deleted the silver kamen video ??
I was originally going to just edit it to remove some of the b-roll, but it's been long enough that I'm just going to do a new version when I have extra time. Thanks for calling this out though, it's a good reminder for me to get it done.
@@JapanHero man I'm just waiting some one to do a video about that show from a long time ago
