Didn't Barca press the same way as Getafe in preseason? Balde had his best game so far this season, can't say the same for Gerard Martin. If Kounde improves his crossing it will make him and Lamine more effective.

Not just crossing, he needs explosive runs forward. He has a lot of space which can be exploited.
I'm glad that we're finding out about our weaknesses now than later in a much bigger match. I'm sure that Vincent Kompany and Carlotto Ancelotti are taking some serious notes on how to stop us from this match. Can totally see them trying to go long and rely on speedy players to attack the back line.

@@tacticsfcb3952exactly. We could see this as a weakness, but I wouldn’t say that. I think having Eric there kinda hindered our progression too. Add Pedri and Olmo to that midfield next to Casado, and the game would’ve opened up quickly imo

Getafe players in second half were look tired especially after Barcelona substitutions.
I think it was just that Eric as a pivot isn't as good at progression as pedri, and torre didn't have an impactful individual performance because he had to focus more dropping deep to progress the ball, and it should've been at least 3 (raphi's and eric's clear chances) so if that is slow for us than I'll take it 😂.

I think we are only a RW away from being a world beater team .. because in as much as raphina is thriving under Hansi if we get someone like Nico Williams , this team would be a serious team to beat because what you ll get from yamal you would get from Nico as well thus, pace,agility,creativity and 1v1 monsters
It would almost be a nightmare for any team to face an attack of Nico,lewa,yamal and maybe rapha or olmo as the attacking midfielders
I think the double pivot of Cassado & Eric is way too defensive and limited in attack. Also I think the team is tired, Kounde, Yamal & Raphinha need a rest

Kounde and Balde need to up their game quick. I get it kounde Is good defensively. I think he needs to exploit the wings out wide more with explosive runs. When lamine is in the half spaces. Just like how the first goal came about . We need to see that from both full back often. If kounde had the gift of Cancelo going forward . We would have destroyed these guys.
So I'm wondering how to decipher this into football manager language and I think two central midfielders have a playmaker role one is a free playmaker who moves everywhere and the other is an advanced playmaker with an attacking function who plays higher up, what do you think?

Getafe is the most anti football team I've seen. Ref was a disgrace. About the tactics, when a team wants to stay compact, you need to switch the ball quickly between two flanks to create space and pull them out of their comfort. We saw very little of that. Barca were more focused on quick one touch play which was never gonna work against a compact structure plus rugby tactics
