this is gonna be fun. Hoping these Azteks have the optional tent setup. Don't stow the tent before getting on the track, though. Just drag it.
My wife and I drove the prototype test for it in 1999 it was nothing like the production model .it had a v8 balncers for off road air ride it large enough to put a sheet of ply wood inside it had bose sound the tent was bigger it had compartments specially designed for hunting gear and fishing poles bigger off road wheels I actually ordered one then canceled it because whatever that thing is it's not what we drove admittedly it created thr suv crossover market
can't help but think this is even more hinting at a possible pontiac return of sorts...

Pontiac Aztek may have been butt-ugly and look like the afterbirth of a real car, but they did build in a lot of neat features/options that made it like the Swiss Army Knife of vehicles.
compared to todays vehicles azteks look pretty normal to me.

I was at a NASCAR race where an Aztec was the pace car. The Pontiac engineers tried everything to give it enough power. it could not maintain 100 plus MPH. The NASCAR officials were pissed. So I'm guessing this will be a very slow event.

what nascar track has/had a pace car speed of 100 MPH? I thought the super speedways were at 70 or 80 max
No Nascar event goes 100mph with pace car out... No Nascar event goes faster then highway speeds. In fact they don't allow the pace car driver to go faster then that for insurance reasons. They often have celebrity pace car drivers and ride alongs. So your story makes absolutely no sense. Also why would officials be pissed, when it does everything a pace car needs to do.
@@Loki_Trickster It was at Daytona. You honestly do not know what you are talking about. The Pace Cars have to be capable of 100 plus MPH to get out on the track safely. Get educated, or maybe attend a race and see it for yourself.
@@larryreece1403 Actually no , they don't. I live in Florida and go to Daytona Speedway often. Pace cars pit road speed is 45 -55 MPH and track speed is 70 MPH at Daytona International Speedway, Per NASCAR regulations. And highly modified for such conditions. So instead of "trying " to insult someone perhaps you should educate yourself.
Unpopular opinion: The Aztek is a good car with interesting (maybe not good, but interesting) styling. Its sibling, the Rendezvous, looks dreadful.
