Jump into trial mode and you can steel a Mythril Blade from the flowering cactoid in stage 3. Has no needed license so you can use it on like white mages and such early game. If you manage to get up to stage 10 you can steel the sword of kings from Belias which is a 2 handed sword that also has no license needed.
Zer0Hour17 can also steal a karakuta or we its call had 90+ attack from him in trial mode

The Karakuta is a rare steal from trial mode flowering cactoid. It has 92 attack and makes the deathbringer irrelevant. You can get it earlier too.
You can get at like lvl 5.

Go for Gladius almost at the start of the game. Just make Penelo party leader and from a distance send Vaan to steal it while you're next to the exit for the zone. I've done this on every save so far.
main gauche is much better 50 evade combine with say aegis sheild gives another 13 evade and 50 magick evade so you have half a chance to not take damage off physical or magick damage. cast bubble and decoy on this build and boom near invincible.
I can confirm Assassins Dagger still drops in Lusu Mines pre and post Ba'gaman event.

Good tip for people abou that last one. If you have the Antlion quest and finish it, you can get the second key in the Phon coast by talking to the fallen Bhujerban. In the last sections of the mines there are some guarantees weapons such as the Dragon Whisker and at the very end there is a Masamune. In the room with the blue save crystal at the end you can find the all powerful Scathe Magick. (May be more I forgot about but you get the idea)
No mention of the Gil Snapper area? Flametongue, Main Gauche, a katana, a bunch of good armor, and good for chaining high-level enemies (which are weak to fire as well).

I got that bug in the lhusu mines as well. I didn't even kill the boss, just fought them for a bit.
U left out sword of kings u can steal from belias in trial mode it gives a 50 attack I believe and can't be wielded by everyone with out needing a liscence

Level 50 all ur characters, ofcourse not intentionally, grinding to buy better equipments everytime theres better equipments available in store and u ran out of money go do lushu mines bridge skeleton chain or further in henne mines chaining the bats or the slimes, story progression, completing marks, elite marks and all side quests until reaching level 50, go to trials, get to stage 49, steal ribbon, get to stage 50, steal wyrmhero blade, repeat 3 times. I prefer to have at least 3 of them each. Wyrmhero blade can be quipped by anyone literally making all jobs godlike early.
Deathbringer before level 20 makes this game so good
You can actually steal a karkata from the flowering cactoid in trial mode stage 3, which is way more powerful than any of the swords in this video. The only downside is it takes a ton of lp to unlock it because its so far down the license board.
Can confirm, this is a great early to late-ish game weapon if you can get lucky enough to steal it, and get the LP to actually use it
all item + weapons you get from trial mode no need to lp to equipe

You can actually steal the assassins dagger from Tiamat in trial mode, i think it's like stage 15
I do remember finding a deathbringer by accident in the old game. A chest and a trap in the same spot and i ended up looting the trap and got the sword.

You should cover gambit combos like Basch with Oil Bombs : Foe: any Attack, and mage knight with Foe: Status = Oil : Firaga. Effect is they only use firaga when oil is in effect for MASSIVE damage but use sword otherwise. Great for mobs on the way to a boss through a dungeon.
Mrhappy1227 that lohengrin chest right beside it gives daggers which do the same damage.
Got to collect them all. Weapons at least one and the more harder ones I will get more. I got it at least 3 and using that area to farm money and upgrade my gear it's a good area to farm. Then when wyvern pestifries vaan I was like what is that and remembered medusa and was like great. Then I farmed a good needle which cures being stone. And farming for weapons and gears to sell.

I keep hearing how great Ninja Swords are for Shikari. Haven't run into one yet after Raithwall.
Valcrist Roda they show up pretty late. there is one way to get it early through crafting. before you progress, i think, mimic queen
Just be sure not to lock yourself out of the best ninja blades by not getting the potential space for a quickening right next to it like my dumb ass did
I made Vaan and dagger guy cause I already knew about the gladius, made basch the sword guy cause of the death bringer. So frikkin OP. I was still using those most of the game. Vanilla game you do a full party of those - dagger until sword and that'll take you into the spear area. I guess you could still class your guys like that if you wanted a dedicated party of glass cannons with no heals
Go yo trial mode stage 3 steal karksrta from flower cactoid u have to quit n reload till u steal it i fid it in 6 mins it carries u well into mid game if a knight

I'm zoning in and out around 20x to get lohengrin at simoon bluff, but never found a single one. How dissapointing, I wonder there's some sort of explanation about the persentage of chance to get that. For the ancient sword I only zone in and out for 4x, but as for the lohengrin I got nothing 😢
One tactic I use to get the Gladius is wait until I have Penelo in my party, make her the lead and manually make Vaan steal while keeping her at a distance, that way if he dies she can run out and res him. GLHF

You can get Platinum Dagger in the area where you fight Adrammelech. Just kill those zombies.
Black Widow i got 17 of them within half an hour just with not collections the drops till i.had the highest tier for drops and then picked the big golden drops... Nearly ever 4th drop was playing dagger
assassins dagger just does not spawn for me. it’s just knot of rust over and over, i’m on attempt 25. this is insane

Soo... can we still rng gen items and chests in Zodiac Age or was that patched out? Also does the immobilize-switch-to-party member glitch still work?
Cure-list seems to be different, as in the algorithm had adjustments. In theory ALL of the original RNG methods still work, but something was changed with a lot of them to make it so the old lists and methods needed slight adjustments.
The Seitengrat is still manipulated the same way, and there are some new methods people are finding for the Ps4 version abusing auto saves

Floydthefuckbag go play the original game, thats what u call OP age, i get kotetsu from werewolves in giza plain, just spam quickening xD, or u can just run to nabrina and buy iron sword, its op for 3-5 hours into the game
if you play original ps2 you can even get to level 99 under 50hr without advancing the story
