So much of my childhood spent on that bridge without the speed up option, ah such good times. When I completely smashed the werewolves in Giza Plains it was super worth it.
for Dustia, the easiest way is to set battle speed to slow and also set your gambit to Foe: Nearest Visible --> Phoenix Down..... as soon as your character is ready to act on Dustia he/she will pull out the Phoenix Down and kill Dustia before Dustia could attack, you dont have to press a thing besides moving in and out of the zone
Been do8ng the dustia method for years on each playthrough but not once considered using the gambits for it. Thats brilliant. ❤
I personally have 3 farming spots early game. When I first reach bhujerba I farm skeletons on the bridge until I have enough loot to buy both the warmage and hunter's monographs, by the time I've finished that all my characters are roughly level 20. Then when I reach the golmore jungle I farm Panthers near the entrance until my average level is about 30. Then once I finish the henne mines I run straight to the feywood and start farming mirror knights until I have enough Gil for the remaining monographs. By the time I continue on past the elder wyrm my characters are all level 40+ and I have like 300,000 gil to buy equipment with lol.
Omg wow your actually really smart for that, it’s so simple yet so earning
wow this bridge was my spot on the PS2 version.
Shit now I'm on ps5 playing lol
Nice I’m playing on ps2 rn got any tips?
@@gnomewithaglobeplay Zodiac Age
My personal favorite early level grind was in mines, when you only have Vaan, Balthier, Fran, and Basch. I would let the lights go out, then just purge all the undead lol It was difficult to at first, but a few level gains later, I was destroying them. This was perfect because when the three other characters joined, they were super high level like the other three.
Hello 4 years later. I used to play this game back in 2007 and I'm thinking of revisiting it now at 27 years I think I'll appreciate it more. So my question is does the party members that join layer scale with your level?
@@noctissama3146 yo, I know you probably figured it out but the answer is "Yes iirc". Just saying for other people who'll read this comment
@@noctissama3146 Hello from 11 months after. Yes they do indeed scale. That is why it is good to solo level Dustia when you only have Vaan.
One of the spots I used when i was younger was on that airship after the security goes ham, just infinitely spawns enemies against you. Was pretty good if I recall..
Volpi just did this, went from lol 16 to 22
Playing the game all the way through for the first time, I discovered this myself yesterday and figured I'd look to see if anybody knew of a better method other than Dustia. Of course you beat me to it.
Bro thank you! I can't even tell how good this is within two hours of doing this I got everyone from lvl 15 to 30 have everyone's licence board almost maxed and I got like 200k gil plus about 60 iron helms which sells for 600 gil a piece
PSA: if your doing the dustia method - lower your hp like it shows and have someone with a GAMBIT: Foe: nearest enemy / Phoenix down.
With this, you literally just hold down on your thumb stick (to get 99 pheonix downs, just go into the first trial and stock up on diamond bracers)
Henne Mines - Pithead Junction B - Flip the switch and it drops 12-20 Jellys. Each giving approx 400 exp each. Have a gambit or accessory to prevent Confuse but that's my #1 farming/leveling zone...plus once you have the teleport stones its 20x faster than the "Bone Zone"
Once you get to lvl 25-30 you should farm the werewolves, if vaan a monk with brawler, adrenaline, last stand and the hp lores youll be fine, of if hes a shikari (hunter) with the gladius dagger (stolen from linbur wolf in westersand), or a breaker who managed to get a slasher for the werewolves lol, its a bit more consistent and safer and doesnt require an assload of pheonix downs
I forgot to return when i first started who knows how many bone fragment i collected for nothing. Go back when you have 99 !
I'm currently level 70 {solo Vaan} just doing Dustia alone. Extremely tedious of 66 hours of grinding
My characters are so strong now that they can take out those skeletons in one hit and I can use only one character to level up fast. If I'm right each skeleton defeated give you 373 EXP each. Also with 4x speed I can get roughly 1500 LP per hour. I have finished Raithwall so I have two license boards and both of them are nearly completed for all six characters thanks to Lhusu Mines farming.
The best use of DUSTIA trick is to go for it early game, when you have Vaan only, lvl up as much as you want, then advance in story, when others will join, they will have Vaan's lvl +1, i presonally went to lvl 40 with DUSTIA, but you can just go to lvl 35 or so.
The speed boost is really amazing!
Thanks for this. Just got the ps2 version and needed the bone zone tips
lol I stumbled onto this skeleton bridge today before seeing this video. It really is a great spot
I knew about the Dustia spot, but I didn't know that 1st method was a thing...never crossed my mind...when I pick the remaster...I'll consider these
Thanks for the newer videos and reminders of these great tips!
It's Abit further along but I find the first area of the golmore jungle a particularly good spot for farming, Panthers spawn in large numbers and you can reset them by walking two screens into ozmone plains, with drops and stealing I netted 99 courel pelts every 10 to 15 mins and had over a few hundred thousand gil in about an hour
Sorry to be late to the game but what level should I enter this area area at, like I've already been here and it's still overwhelming for me. Right now I'm level 10 and I've made the mistake of following the story line to quickly and now I'm hard stuck, any advice?
There's a similar spot in the optional mines before Zalera. Tons of easy(ish) skeletons that give some pretty radical exp if solo. Throw a double EXP accesory on your chosen one and you get some good XP.
Total fing newb here but i went thru 45 potions & 2 Phoenix downs just on the first wave of skeletons. WTF am i doing wrong here? And also only got 1 bone fragement for my troubles
The Dustia method you can do with just Vaan before recruiting anyone. I leveled him all the way to 50 in an old ps2 file then all the other characters will join 50+. Also in the video why not set a gambit instead of killing it manually?
I have a bit of a gripe with the gambit system, as I find it pretty much takes the fun out of the game for anything outside of grinding. Since I was only doing this for the video I just did it manually. Also made it easier for viewers to keep track of what was actually happening.
my favorite is the sand sea. those little robed guys. ive chained them to 350 before.
If you go to the evera woods than there’ll be a lot of panthers and panther hides are like 400 gil per coat and there surprisingly easy to kill too
Thanks! Was planning on getting the game as soon as I finish Wild Arms 3. :D
Gloriam ahh wild arms 3.
Finished it a couple of days ago, now enjoying FF12. What a game, good thing there's a lot of guides for it, wouldn't have finished it without them. :P
I remember that my early game leveling method was too kill over and over the T-rex like mob in the 1st area with the limit breaks... I wish I knew this method XD
hey mister happy. i have a question, did they adjust the bazaar mechanic. I remember it was bad to sell stuff at Bazaar in bulk because it may have locked you out in getting some good deals to items, acc, and weapons.
Yeah it can be if you sell the wrong items. Bone Fragments you'll be fine with though
Mrhappy1227 thank you!
which gambits do recommend for the bridge?
I'm really hoping they decide to release a PC version of this one eventually. Still have the original on PS2 but I wanna try Zodiac Age without having to get out and get a PS4.
Ray Hemminger not 100% sure but I do believe they will
Was wondering if you are going to do a job guide?
I am planning on it, but here are a few quick tips:
Balthier makes for an excellent Uhlan due to his stats + having a short spear animation. His mage stats are also not bad, so he can make an okay WHM or BLM. Despite most people wanting to run him Machinist, he is actually one the worst gun users in the game because he has a long attack animation. That and guns aren't great.
Vaan is a god on most physical jobs, and even moderately good at casters. Uhlan, Knight, Monk are good choices for him.
Penelo has amazing mage stats, so play whatever mage you want with her.
Fran has the highest vitality, so Breaker is an excellent choice. She is good at the other roles as well though.
Basch has strong STR and Speed scaling, so Archer/Shikari are good choices for him. He can do well at pretty much any STR scaling Melee, but his VIT scales poorly so maybe avoid Foebreaker.
Ashe is a bit of an anomaly because she scales so well with most of the stats. Not the best in some, but moderately good. She can fill pretty much any role reliably. I like to throw her on Samurai personally.
Ultimately you can do pretty much anything with any character, and if you mess it up in Zodiac Age you can just assign them a second job later on that you'd rather have them use (and benefit from the dual boards)
Who's this Vaan you speak of? Shouldn't make up characters who don't exist.
I've just picked classes that were very similar to their bases.. having played 12 before it feels weird having say Balthier not being a Mech or Fran not an Archer :P
i chose fran to be a monk. it makes sense when you see her myst combos.
Mrhappy1227 I chose vaan as bushi and fran as archer balthier as shiki and ashe as a redmage and pennelo white mage and basch as a knight still waiting to get second job class
same spot i use.you have a good voice for narrating keep it up
When it comes to gil farming, just gather as many Diamond Armlets from Trial Mode and sell those since 1 Armlet sells for 6k
vaan solo dustia again for me, also, there is another way, I dont know if it changed in ZA but if you enter a town the chain breaks, not when you speak to a merchant, and there is a strict path you can take to reach a merchant without reaching any town
Is this one of those type of RPG's that will screw me over if I don't take the time to level up my side characters that I don't use that much? Or am I going to grind up their levels, too? Because that would suck
If I remember correctly, once you get your full party, there is never really a point where you are forced in to certain party members, so feel free to neglect your less popular comrades.
zombiefriend If you want to even stand a chance against the later hidden bosses you have pretty much no choice but to get all your guys to max level. If you just want to play the main story though then it doesn't matter.
Well skeleton bridge is not respawning after about 3-4 kills. And have to zone two places before they respawn. Which can break the chain, mainly because if you run into anything else than a skeleton and one of your party members kills it, bam chain gone.
If you flee, you run by everyone without attacking. Flee 2 screens, go back, stop fleeing, kick ass. I had a 300+chain doing that
Could you do a video explaining the selling loot? Sounds kinda dumb but I keep reading conflicting reports.
Sweet i was trying to figure out how to rest the bridge
Never played the PS2 version, but this looks interesting should I try it out?
Its in pretty much all ways superior to the Ps2 version, mostly because it pulls from the never-released-in-the-US version of FF12 called International Zodiac Job System, which revamps a lot of core gameplay elements to make replayability and decision making more influential on your play experience.
Zodiac Age also fixes up some old Ps2 limitations, has a trial mode for greater challenge and two NG+ modes. Pretty solid buy tbh
I figured out if you do that bridge and go out further into the mine kill all the skeletons in there then go back out to the bridge and continue killing the skeletons it’s practically infinite skeletons
Great spot, started doing this but yet to have ashe or penalo in my party, I think I opted for wrong job on fran though as she sucks
I did red mage for fran
I managed to make 999 chains from the "bone zone" but, sadly, there is no trophy for it.
You can set your target as undead, that way you don't have to flee and you can kill a few skeletons as you go two zones away
The mobs between bridge #1 and bridge #2 are mostly bats/slaven. On bridge #1 there are a few undead but its more efficient to just flee past and get back to the main bridge.
The skeletons kill me too fast on the bridge 😭
You're too weak buy new armor and weapons don't forget accessories XDXDXDXDXS
@@dudem01234 Where is a good place to buy and which weapons armor and accessories?
I wish you would have shown what Gambits you have set. Just for us newbies
you do not need to zone 2 zones away for respawns anymore, introduced with the IZJS its only 1, according to everything i've read.
1 for chests if I recall
Just tested, zoning once over respawned some of the mobs, but only like 10 of the 30-35ish skeletons it usually yields
Can you still do the challenge from the old game where you can finish the game at levels 1, 2, and 3 with the firefly? Don't levels in this game not matter. You're stats scale with licenses and armor right?
You can still do that yeah, you get the Firefly early. I think one of the NG+ mode also technically starts every character at level 1 as opposed to the 1,2,3 thing.
Mrhappy1227 ok thanks for replying.
I think thats what weak mode is
i remember my first time playing this i hated this area than when i came back to this area i loved farming the shit out it 😂😂
In the bone zone bridge I farmed about 600k gil and 10lvls of xp worth it's the best farming zone in the game
When am I able to unlock my second job?
After Raithwall, where you defeat your first Esper.
oh man remember doing dustia farming.
Just saw the maps in 12 and man do the looks like Stormblood maps lol .
Yea sorry was late when I saw this
Just beat it yesterday and am. Enjoying being lv 90, a word of warning tho your level don't mean shit if you don't have the gear to fight back with. So watch it when you run around. You are not a God.
You can just break the game using trial mode now since you can carry stuff over
Zer0Hour17 The game was pretty broken to begin with tbh.
where is this bridge? i cant remember the location...
Phormio123 It is in the Lhusu mines that is in the Sky City of Bhujerba. So it is the next step in the story after you get Basch and kill the Mimic Queen.
Are you sure about going two zones away? I only went one zone and they respawned and the strategy guide says one zone as well.
Might be 1 in IZJS, most people were still telling me two
Tested: one definitely respawned SOME enemies, but only anywhere from like 5-10 as opposed to the 30-35 from zoning twice
Could you make a quickening guide? ^_^
also there's a rare bomb enemy that spawns on the bridge that has a chance to drop one of the best ninja weapons in the game. but its a late game rare mob so i wouldnt recommend it early on
That bridge is actually a bit deeper into the mine
Stitches gets bitches I remember trying to get it for like 4 hours without success, and then on my last try before I was gonna give up it dropped three at once. Shame only that the weapon wasn't very usefull dps wise.
in my opinion the speed up option destroys a little bit the game. but you do not have to use it :D
can you do with one character the dusita farm
where is this zone again ?
Does anyone have recommendation for good gambit settups for farming for various jobs?
Gambits are mostly there so you can adjust them to the situation necessary. As someone else pointed out in the comment section, if you want to avoid breaking chains while running around killing enemies, you can set gambits to target specific enemy types, like undead. For something like this you just need a kill gambit and a heal gambit really.
Without spoilers, can you re fight bosses at endgame?Kinda like KH2:FM
Jhett Magnum Trials Mode. you'll have to complete the floors again to see that boss but yes. it's possible to fight them again
Good video.
whixh is more similar to FF14 ? ff12 or 13 or 15
Ff12 is. Similar character designs and both use the zone system almost the same way
They removed needing to go back that far...you literally only have to zone once
Untrue, you zone once for treasure chests. Full zone respawns still take two zones over. You may get a 50%ish respawn on a single zone, but it'll wear off after a few rezones.
I feel like the game is to easy. So no exp farm for me.
the zone glitch is pretty cool tho didnt know that :)
Thomas Middleton Later bosses are pretty much impossible without a maxed out party, so yeah have fun with that.
Erik Dahmen "impossible" someone is exaggerating
Thomas Middleton I'm talking about the last hidden bosses outside the main story, like zodiarch, yiasmat and co.
Erik Dahmen I didn't mean never grind, i just don't want to trivialize the early sections of the game which are already really easy
Vaan with ashe and penelo at the *BONE ZONE* 3 way FTW
U can just go over one screen over and the monsters will respawn
This dosent work anymore i would put that in the video title
Still works for me I just did it
2022
PLssss release this on PC!!!!
Im guessing you already know this by now, but it's on Steam 👍
made 456 chain
after final fantasy 10, everything went downhill :( .
damn you square you lost so much money by not putting yours games on pc
