It is a remaster technically so don’t expect much from it. Still feels like an old game not a new game. Really wish they added in diagonal movement.

After Gerard’s generation all the enemies became impossibly difficult and all of them wipe out my party. I don’t know what to do. Also the martial artist does 0 damage to all enemies. Only place I can go is Lundon Highlands and every enemy is super strong. I have gone through 3 emperors unable to do anything. Especially the mushroom enemies can status effect my whole party and one shot my characters. Thinking about giving up on the game and trying RS3 instead.

Hey, thanks for asking. RS2 is tough until you get a good grasp of the mechanics, but it's super fun once you do. The main tip I've got is to pick two or three weapon types to use across your whole party, have each character use just one weapon type, and attack with everyone at least once in every battle. That will help you raise your weapon levels quickly, which is the main way to progress. Magic is OP, so recruit mages as soon as you can to start leveling up your magic. Your emperor should have light magic early on-use that for sure.
Since you've gone through a few gens without making progress, you might want to start a New Game+, where your existing global stats will carry over and give you a head start. You can also check out my 6 Tips for Getting into RS2 video as well as my Stats and Leveling video (especially the part about global stats). Those should give you a solid knowledge base to make some progress. Best of luck!

@@rpg_haven I watched all your videos they were helpful. My last Emperor was Libra which I think is the best court mage? I was using Light Ball, Fire Ball, and the Wind spell every battle. I looked up the spark types of the characters and was swords on 3 character, martial arts on one character, and bows on the last character. The game was pretty easy up until I cleared the gem mine and the game time skipped. Then the game instantly got 20x harder. I have to use all my skills and spells just to beat the weakest enemies when before I could just attack every turn to beat them. Now my Emperor is a female Merc so that sucks.

You can always kill your whole party and choose a different emperor-this won't hurt your progress at all, but the choices you get for the new emperor are random, so it's a bit of a crapshoot. (You're right that Libra is a great character, btw.)
My memory is a bit foggy, but there should be a few places where you can grind up weapon levels. Running from battles also hurts you, since the difficulty increases based on how many battles you've fought, so try not to do that.
Also, sometimes it's tough to find an appropriate storyline to take on. The game likes to give you access to areas that are way too difficult, so if you're getting creamed, look for somewhere else to go. Talk to everyone and see what else you can do. There's no shame in using a guide, too-this game can be brutal.

I wish you made a video about the different classes and which are best for emperor. There are a lot of classes in the game and I am not sure which are the best to use.

Honestly, any class should be OK for your emperor due to how global stats work. Formations are more important for protecting your emperor's LP. One tip is to not pick an emperor of a class you can already easily recruit-Heavy Infantry, Rangers, and Court Mages are all good in the early game, and they're available at Avalon, so you don't want one of those for your emperor.
Great unlockable classes include the Imperial Guard, Crusader, Strategist, Nomad, Saigo Clansmen, Levante Guard, and Iris (not available till late-game). If you're lucky enough to get an emperor of one of those classes as an option, pick them. Also, if Armed Merchant ever comes up as an option, pick him so you can unlock the Rapid Stream formation. Formations matter a LOT in this game, and most of them are crap. Rapid Stream is great for pretty much the entire game, though.
