I was a huge Rondo fan, huge, the games with the champion Celtics teams were incredible. Thank you for this clip, it explains a lot about this truly amazing but troubled talent, one of the best guards to ever play in the league.
Rajon needs more respect, man. One of the best and most underrated pure point guards to ever play in the nba. He usually needs to mesh well with the star players and the team. He was essential as floor general in the Lakers with Lebron

Could score 40 or have 20 assist. 29-13-18 in the playoffs with 3 hall of famers on the team is pretty nasty. Plus how many players can say they won a title with the Celtics and the Lakers 12 yrs apart.

May I ask why you deleted the Patrick Beverly video about him going from “dealer” to “defender”? Was it because of the first Title that people ended up finding Offensive?
He has no fucking balls and immediately bowed to bullshit far left cancel culture the second there was any pressure. I lost a TON of respect for him after that. 🤷
He didn’t fall off. He and Carlisle were a terrible match because Carlisle is a control freak coach. After his stint in Dallas he had success in SAC and New Orleans before helping the Lakers win a title. One of the best pure passers and smartest players ever. He might actually fit the overused term “misunderstood genius”. There’s no need to coach him when he’s out there on the floor. Just let him do his thing. That’s when he’s at his best.
I'm pretty young and can only watch a handful of games a year. I watch most playoffs games and the two players with the best vision and feel for the game that I've ever seen are Rondo and Manu. It's like they can bend the flow of the game to their will.
His biggest weaknesses were his free throws and the fact that they count assists as a stat. When he started choking on free throws he stopped going to the hole as much which was his greatest strength. Then he started holding the ball too much instead of moving it around so he could pad his assist totals and this was when he had other good playmakers on his team. The team actually had a better record in games Rondo missed for a few seasons. But when he was young and playing with fury he could be the best player on the floor at times. He was a below average shooter but covered for that with his penetration skills early on but when he stopped driving as much and started shooting threes a lot more which he was very average at he became a very average player.
