Tore up his knee and he fell off. Rondo is one of those dudes that has to play his game and do his thing. Like you literally have to let him do his thing. Sometimes you’re too smart for your own good. Dude used to get like 17 points, 20 rebounds and 20 assists. The issue again with rondo is you have to let him do his thing and trust his ability.

His biggest weaknesses were his free throws and the fact that they count assists as a stat. When he started choking on free throws he stopped going to the hole as much which was his greatest strength. Then he started holding the ball too much instead of moving it around so he could pad his assist totals and this was when he had other good playmakers on his team. The team actually had a better record in games Rondo missed for a few seasons. But when he was young and playing with fury he could be the best player on the floor at times. He was a below average shooter but covered for that with his penetration skills early on but when he stopped driving as much and started shooting threes a lot more which he was very average at he became a very average player.

Rondos game 2 vs the Heat on the road in 2012 is an all time under rated performance. He had 44 8 10 on 66% FG% and 100% from 3 vs the Lebron and Dwade Heat in their prime after they figured it out. The Refs missed the most blatant foul on a Rondo Drive in OT that ended up being a 5 point swing and if called the Celtics could have won the series in 6 at home. In 2012 Regular season before tearing his ACL he was taking the leap to being the number 1 player but unfortunatley that acl injury took away a little bit of athleticism that made him who he was.

You can be the most talented person in your field, but if you have a bad attitude, no one is gonna wanna work with you. Rondo and Cousins are prime examples of it.
