KIllers is my favorite IM album. Every song. I was 13 when it came out and it changed the game for me. I was into mostly punk when it came out. DRIFTER is my fav
I'd say Battlezone was his best band followed closely by Killers. I do think he should have released all of his band/solo projects under the name of Di'Anno though.
Another mind-blowing fact about Paul is that he was a member of the notorious Crips gang and was shot while living in Los Angeles in the early 90s. He had girlfriends and wives in Brazil, the United States, Norway, England, Croatia and Australia.
I was so happy today I got a comment from one of my comments about Metal today this young Metalhead send a message to me that metal still lives I was so proud of that my comment got a response long live metal and rock and roll❤❤❤😊
Paul enjoyed touring Ukraine and Russia. He had great creative potential. But he had a difficult character and a rock-n-roll lifestyle, which he later regretted many times. It is a pity that his last days were spent alone and far from the most comfortable place.
Di'Anno was and still is a vastly underrated vocalist and writer. He laid a well oiled killing machine in Dickinson's lap when he was let go. Pretty much setting maiden on a trajectory of mass success. Though Dickinson is great it is still an unknown if maiden would have been JUST as successful with Di'Anno. ❤
Yeah, thing with Paul's career was that he never got support from mayor record companies, not for a global distribution of his work anyway. My younger me, been a huge Maiden fan back then, would've loved to listen anything even from ex members of the band, which only happen years later with the openig of some shops in my country specialized on imported records if we're avaliable and with the coming of the internet, oc. RIP Paul🤘
It was a strange coincidence that I happened to be watching a documentary on Iron Maidens early days (up until Piece of Mind), and the Next day I wake up to the sad news of Paul's passing.
I was gutted when I heard the news that Paul had passed. But I seen him live quite a few times and to be honest, it was sad to see. Most of the fans that were at his gigs were there because they wanted the original singer of Iron Maiden. (Yes, I know Day and Wilcock came before him). And to accommodate those Maiden fans, he sang a lot of classic Maiden songs, very grudgingly, often mumbling the songs as he did so. So I like to remember Paul Taylor as he was when he was in his prime. He certainly led Another Life.
The album Killers - Murder One is my first and most favorite album by Paul Di'Anno. I love a lot of songs it and until the internet really took off, didn't get into his solo albums until later.
i saw paul around 2010. he wasn't in a wheelchair, but he had a cane. he had a local metallica tribute band who clearly learned the first 2 maiden albums a couple days earlier......they were a fantastic band and i think they were officially sanctioned-they played in front of a master of puppets scrim/backdrop. they did a set of justice and puppets songs, then dianno came on and they did a bunch of stuff from the first 2 maiden albums and a battlezone (i think) song or 2. it was easilly one of the worst shows i've ever seen. it was so bad, it was actually amazing. it was like watching some avant garde performance art troupe.....paul with a cane just barking and shouting the lyrics out of key with a band that didn't really know the songs, in front of a metallica backdrop. it was a weird night
Great channel, bro! I really like the Killers project. Especially the murder one release. Best track: Impaler. The living dead released as Paul Di'anno is very good too. Best track: The Living Dead. RIP Paul... You're surely missed Cheers!
It's a shame Paul didn't get clean/straightened up his life earlier.. if you put aside his lack of stamina due to health issues, his voice was still top notch. Legend
I believe Nicko’s first appearance with Maiden was dressed like Eddie during the Killers tour on a tv special. So technically Nicko was on stage with Paul Di’anno 😂😂😂
Saw Lonewolf supporting Thin Lizzy on the Renegade tour. Just another unknown support act as far as the audience was concerned - until the opening strains of Remember Tomorrow whereupon a collective penny dropped.
The wolf thing would've been cool. To further the conspiracy theory,I believe Maiden must have played festivals with Accept back in the day. Accept's guitarist is named...Wolf. Eerie huh?Anyway excellent video as usual, thanks for making it.
Paul will always be remembered as the original recording vocalist of the band, but he was a better vocalist/songwriter after leaving! Living Dead is a fucking fantastic song!
Iron Maiden is the best band of all time, of course he will be remembered from that. The same as Blaze. As good as he is, Maiden will always be the top of his career.
You are correct about him being remembered for Maiden, but those two albums being perfection is a flat out lie! Those albums put Maiden at the foot of the mountain! They were opening for other bands during that time! What shot Maiden up the mountain & cemented them at members of the metal Mount Rushmore was NOTB! NOTB is the best album they have ever done! What makes it the best, it’s for what it did for the bands career! Steve knew & even Paul knew that if he stayed, Maiden would not have made it to the top! Don’t get me wrong, I like Paul, but I only like what he did after Maiden! Living Dead is a great song! The guy grew as a vocalist & songwriter after leaving! The thing is, he was never as famous as he was in Maiden! This is where I never believe peoples claims! If all of you that claim the first two Maiden albums are that great, then why did all of you make Paul famous for being away from Maiden? Ace is known as an original member of Kiss, but he’s also well known for what his musical career was after Kiss! He is actually the most successful member of Kiss away from the band! He has out sold the other three original members solo albums combined! He was made famous for after Kiss because of the fans!
@GNewcomb-q9v If by "Paul brought them to the foot of the mountain", you meen the Mountain of gold, or a massive money mountain, I would totally agree. There would be no maiden without Pauls raw voice, and punk influences. Paul IS (was) Iron Maiden. I think it's very true that maiden never would have won the mass appeal of the masses without Bruce (and I love Bruce) but something was lost when Paul left. As far as "what is better", it's my opinion that the first two albums were peek Maiden. Thats just my opinion. I would never use "what sold more" is a metric of something being better or worse. If that was the case then Taylor swift would be the most skilled and talented artist of all time. Mass appeal does NOT equal "better"
The song Lone Wolf was recorded before Bruce joined Iron Maiden. When Xero put the single out with Lone Wolf, the song was eventually removed due Iron Maiden's request. The Praying Mantis live album should have been called Iron Mantis or Praying Maiden.
Thank you so much for doing this Pilgrim.. . I’ve been a Maiden fan my whole life and Paul’s passing hit me hard. Fantastic tribute ..
KIllers is my favorite IM album.
Every song.
I was 13 when it came out and it changed the game for me.
I was into mostly punk when it came out.
DRIFTER is my fav
I've been binging Paul's other projects and so far Murder One has been my favourite. It still sounds fresh.
I'd say Battlezone was his best band followed closely by Killers. I do think he should have released all of his band/solo projects under the name of Di'Anno though.

WHAT!!! that's crazy, I had no idea 😂
I was so happy today I got a comment from one of my comments about Metal today this young Metalhead send a message to me that metal still lives I was so proud of that my comment got a response long live metal and rock and roll❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much for this video. So much information in a short video. UP THE IRONS FOREVER! With love from Colorado.
Paul enjoyed touring Ukraine and Russia. He had great creative potential. But he had a difficult character and a rock-n-roll lifestyle, which he later regretted many times. It is a pity that his last days were spent alone and far from the most comfortable place.
UP THE IRONS. Much love. Rock on 🤘🏼
his work with battlezone was amazing, specially the first album! murder one is pretty good too!
Tell me you got the title reference without telling me you got the title reference...

Absolutely
Another Life from Killers that is awesome
He’s living another life in the twilight zone, awaiting his sentence in purgatory for his murders in the rue morgue.
Best song from killers, love the drum intro

My favourite Di'anno project was Battlezone.😊
Paul was 4 Years Older Than I ❤🎉😊

I used to like Battle Zone especially Children of Madness album.
Great channel, bro!
I really like the Killers project.

Best track: The Living Dead.
RIP Paul...
You're surely missed

Preying Mantis - ‘Live at Last’ 🤯
I Love the Another Life from Killers reference
Thank you! Finally someone has gotten it!
Saw him with Battle Zone and they played Sanctuary twice because they ran out of songs to play and the crowd was going nuts, it was cool
I have been subscribed forever.
It's a shame Paul didn't get clean/straightened up his life earlier.. if you put aside his lack of stamina due to health issues, his voice was still top notch. Legend

Haha that’s awesome!!! Great catch!!!
His first time on stage was in costume on Beast On The Road Tour!
Killers Murder One is a good heavy album though with some really good songs!
All Hail Paul Di Anno💪💪💪
Saw Lonewolf supporting Thin Lizzy on the Renegade tour. Just another unknown support act as far as the audience was concerned - until the opening strains of Remember Tomorrow whereupon a collective penny dropped.
The 2 Killers Albums, Architects of Chaoz, Warhorse And the Anthologie Album are my faves
From fired to been kicked out there is a huge difference amigo...they just seperated their ways...
I like to remember Paul for his Iron Maiden work . Everything else is pretty dismal in comparison.
The wolf thing would've been cool. To further the conspiracy theory,I believe Maiden must have played festivals with Accept back in the day. Accept's guitarist is named...Wolf. Eerie huh?Anyway excellent video as usual, thanks for making it.
Have the first iron maiden album on vinyl i still don't have the killers on cd or vinyl but ill crank the first album for paul🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
'Murder One' with Killers is probably the best album he released after his Maiden days.
Paul will always be remembered as the original recording vocalist of the band, but he was a better vocalist/songwriter after leaving! Living Dead is a fucking fantastic song!
Truth is, he may have done alot of different things after Maiden, but maiden will be what he's remembered for. Those first two albums are perfection.
Of course. Nothing comes close to those, especially for every Iron Maiden fan
Iron Maiden is the best band of all time, of course he will be remembered from that. The same as Blaze. As good as he is, Maiden will always be the top of his career.

@@owendurant7873😂
He used to drink in the Royal George off Charing Cross Road.
Bought him many drinks, never bought me one back 😂
The song Lone Wolf was recorded before Bruce joined Iron Maiden. When Xero put the single out with Lone Wolf, the song was eventually removed due Iron Maiden's request. The Praying Mantis live album should have been called Iron Mantis or Praying Maiden.
Thanks! Praying Maiden is actually a cool name for a band!
Outside of Iron Maiden Paul had some great songs, but the best was the warhorse album
Killers was by far the best Maiden album. Not even close. For me, he was far better than Bruce.
Murder One is fantastic. Is it really "Groove metal"? The followup wasn't nearly as good, so we can give that one to groove.
I meant the second album was more groove ;)
@ great work, btw. I was one of those 60% nonsubcribers, but I fixed that ;)
Thank you!
dianno forwver
Please, try to fix your pronunciation of the word "thousand". Thank you.
