Nice equipment, that big old tractor looks good for model years 75-81. Whats the plastic for?
We have had that tractor since new and it is a great piece of equipment, I will hang on to that one into my old age. The plastic is to help keep our road material from disappearing into our ultra fine sandy loam soil. Thanks for commenting.
What brand of tow behind compactor are you using?
It had a Diesel engine on it, I converted it to pto. I think the brand is Bros but I'll check and let you know. It's really old but works great for road and arena maintenance. The lister diesel video in my videos is the engine that I took of of it. I plan on making a video of the conversion. Thanks for watching!
What’s the make and model of the pull behind vibratory roller? I have been looking high and low for one, I knew they had to be out there but no one around where I live knows that type of roller, almost to where they think they exist like unicorns do.
Hi Stephen, it's a very old Bros roller. it used to have a diesel engine on it, I converted it to PTO. It does a fantastic job but I'm not looking forward to the day when the vibration mechanism breaks down. I don't use it that much, a couple of time a year. Google search tag a long rollers, you'll find one eventually. Thanks for commenting. I looking forward to making a video on the conversion.
Can you make a video on the conversion?
Beautiful farm , I like that pull behind roller . Where can I get one of these .
Hi Dale, Thanks for the compliment on the farm. The roller is an old one i found on craigslist. It had a diesel motor which i took off to convert to PTO power. Its very heavy, around 10000 lbs.
Where did your vibratory roller come from
It was a pull roller with a Lister air cooled diesel to run the vibrator mechanism. I found it on craigslist west of Albany NY. I am going to make a video of the conversion to pto. You can see it as I got it here ruclips.net/video/i4nuBV3nBAk/видео.html
@@jeffjones6541 thanks we're trying to find one for our road
@@jeffjones6541 Do you have a video of conversion of the PTO? I'm looking at doing the same thing. It looks like a great set up.
@@jordanclarke5886 Hi Jordan, the gear box is a 3:1 ratio from a ford 917 flail mower, gave me the rpm's to match the motor that was on it. A video will be coming soon. Thanks for watching.
