These videos will show you some of the behind the scene work that goes in to managing two horse farms in New York State's beautiful Hudson River valley. Panorama Farm is in Tivoli, NY and Winslow Farm is in Valatie NY. The farms are about 30 miles apart. Videos will include equipment use and maintenance, fence building, moving equipment between the farms, leather repair, some basic machine shop and lathe work, building, riding arena footing maintenance for both indoor and outdoor arenas and the general upkeep of both properties. I may in the future expand into working on other peoples properties doing similar work and light construction and excavation.

This Snowy Owl visited Panorama Farm in Tivoli, NY. The time, I think is December 1989. That year there was a severe artic high pressure system that caused record low temperatures across Canada and the northern United States. It was cold for the entire month. I videoed this with a shoulder held full size VCR camera plugged into my trucks lighter. While I enjoy seeing the owl listening to my dau...

When you disconnected the seat belts did you have to adjust wiring? Mine is not going any faster than about 12mph. Thanks in advance.
best tool ever.
Can you make a video on the conversion?
Would you know where I could find any parts for that machine I just purchased one
Parts are available. I just ordered forward and reverse cables off amazon. American Landmaster is the parent company now and there are full parts schematics there.
Inner diameter must decreased and break shoe cannot be longer and stronger
Excellent review. Thanks for taking the time to post it.
Thank you for watching, the "buggy" as mom calls it, is in use every day! She's 85 and uses it for morning feeding.
I need a shift linkage for this exact kind I need to know where to order one?? Please help me
I would contact American Landmaster , that is the name of the manufacturer now. They might still have parts. It should not be too difficult to manufacture one if it comes to that.
I bought one, but it 2 wheel drive. I like it pretty much. Right now the engine kicks back hard when starting. I sent for a new coil, but they sent the wrong one. They are going to send the correct one.
Like butter
i have one of these.Itr is a pretty good little tool. Its not meant to be a pro tool as thebattery dies quickly. Its a reagular yard tool. I do like I can lay it on the ground and het a close cut. If you get this and have lots of work to do. get the bigger battery and a back up. His review is right on the money.
Want to sell it
What’s the make and model of the pull behind vibratory roller? I have been looking high and low for one, I knew they had to be out there but no one around where I live knows that type of roller, almost to where they think they exist like unicorns do.
Hi Stephen, it's a very old Bros roller. it used to have a diesel engine on it, I converted it to PTO. It does a fantastic job but I'm not looking forward to the day when the vibration mechanism breaks down. I don't use it that much, a couple of time a year. Google search tag a long rollers, you'll find one eventually. Thanks for commenting. I looking forward to making a video on the conversion.
What brand of tow behind compactor are you using?
It had a Diesel engine on it, I converted it to pto. I think the brand is Bros but I'll check and let you know. It's really old but works great for road and arena maintenance. The lister diesel video in my videos is the engine that I took of of it. I plan on making a video of the conversion. Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much!!!
can i use the 40v battery for this machine
This is a far more informative & detailed video than any of the others I've seen on RUclips. 👍
Thank you for the compliment John! The trail wagon is in use every day and I still think it is a great machine.
Stay away from chainsaws. You're are dangerous with that thing.
Extra Battery is a given for these power tools. I love Worx and have had the Jawsaw for 2 years. It's a beast. I cut up to 6 inch limbs, no problem. i did upgrade battery right away to 20v 4ah. I have 6 worx batteries for my 8 worx tools and loghts
Just picked up a chuck wagon 2 wheel drive for 500 buck was pretty sure motor was blowed after getting into it I checked the valve lash and runs great smoked for a few min I need to replace exhaust and tires but it will be a cheap little yard tool
Apparently Norther Tool sell a Honda copy of the engine that works well.....420cc.
Love your Trail Wagon ,.. I have a Brister 390cc in it too. Nice job showing it. How did you know which ones of the wires fit on the starter. I have a green wire that isn't hooked up but I cant short the positive on the starter solenoid across and it will start .. but don't know which wire needs to be hooked up to starter so I can use the key. any thoughts on this .. I would appreciate your help. thanks much.. GD Tractor
Hi GD Tractor, thanks for commenting. I will take a look at mine and see if I can get you any further information in regard to wiring. Also I would say that the folks at LandMaster were very helpful when i called them with some questions, they even put one of the engineers on the phone for me to talk to
@@jeffjones6541 Thx !!
Beautiful farm , I like that pull behind roller . Where can I get one of these .
Hi Dale, Thanks for the compliment on the farm. The roller is an old one i found on craigslist. It had a diesel motor which i took off to convert to PTO power. Its very heavy, around 10000 lbs.
Nice equipment, that big old tractor looks good for model years 75-81. Whats the plastic for?
We have had that tractor since new and it is a great piece of equipment, I will hang on to that one into my old age. The plastic is to help keep our road material from disappearing into our ultra fine sandy loam soil. Thanks for commenting.
Perhaps they should redesign the battery 🔋 to a more POWERFUL ONE !??? 😕☹️😰🤦🏻♂️
Today, Mine now has a delay when I push down. Anyone else have this problem?
Curious as to what you did pay for it because I am looking at one.
Hi Joe, I picked it up used for $3500. Its been worth every dollar. Used gas golf carts sell for more and do not have four wheel drive.
Did you watch AvE's video?
I did not but I will check it out. Thanks for commenting!
@@jeffjones6541 He's not very complimentary about the tool's purpose - but if ever there was a solution in search of a problem, I'd say it was made for the problem you're facing with those vines. Gnarly!
Vines are tuff I found that out quickly. The best tool I found is Milwaukee's HacksAll battery operated it will last all day with the big battery. It's light weight and we'll balanced with the large battery. If you need to cut metal or anything else you already have the tool
Do you know how long the upgrade battery will last aprox?
Hi, thanks for the question. I could not tell you exactly how long the the upgrade battery will last but I think the bigger issue is the charger. The standard charger takes 5 hours to recharge the battery. Ridiculous in this age of rechargeable tools. I would go with the six hour batteries and the fast charger. That should allow for some non stop work.
Just what I need for grape vines in central eastern Florida.
Thank you for the great video!
Thankyou for comment! Glad you enjoyed it.
Great Video Jeff! I am in North west Florida and we have tons of vines here, worse than what you have there. They pull down the other trees, yes I agree best for forest health. Got rid of many of them, even have dug pulled them out. Hard to smile when there are so many dang vines. lol May try this saw, but I have used a Ratcheting loppers, works pretty good on vines 1 inch or thinner.
Thanks for the comment! I can only imagine the vines you have with a year round growing season!
Great video, Jeff. You showed everything I wanted to know.
Thank you John and thanks for commenting.
Where did your vibratory roller come from
It was a pull roller with a Lister air cooled diesel to run the vibrator mechanism. I found it on craigslist west of Albany NY. I am going to make a video of the conversion to pto. You can see it as I got it here ruclips.net/video/i4nuBV3nBAk/видео.html
@@jeffjones6541 thanks we're trying to find one for our road
@@jeffjones6541 Do you have a video of conversion of the PTO? I'm looking at doing the same thing. It looks like a great set up.
@@jordanclarke5886 Hi Jordan, the gear box is a 3:1 ratio from a ford 917 flail mower, gave me the rpm's to match the motor that was on it. A video will be coming soon. Thanks for watching.
When I was little I don't remember so many vines. I have corded one works ok. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
It will last longer if you let go of the button after each cut. Push it down on what your cutting as you push button. I cut probably 80 pieces with my battery. I absolutely love my jaw saw. Also got a back up battery just in case. A ladies dream tool!
6.0 Ah 20v battery is best for longer use. Will ease your anxiety and stress.
I was just on the Worx website and noticed that battery, I will be buying batteries and a two battery charger soon. Thanks for the input.
@@jeffjones6541 buy one charger that has dual charging port.
I just began using the Jaw Saw. It's on the heavy side, in my opinion, and heavier with the extension pole. It's probably because of the weight of the battery and the way it clamps onto the pole. At least the chain hasn't come off, at least not yet, the way it does on my Ryobi pole saw; I guess this is where the jaws come in handy. Time will tell.
I agree it is heavy, I would not want to use with the extension handle. Thanks for the comment.
I agree it is on the heavy side but I absolutely LOVE my Jaw Saw!
Keep that chain adjusted and you will have no problem! If it were lighter it would not have that power
Like your honesty, probably would love your smile!
I use a 20V JawSaw and a 20V Black & Decker Alligator for wild grape vines. The Alligator is easier to handle but both work well. The real problem is trying to get the vines out of the trees. Also, those vines are almost impossible to kill as they will keep coming back. I recently bought a Stihl GTA 26 which should also be a good option. My property is a lake with all of the rain, but I'm anxious to try the Stihl.
Hey thanks for the comment. I'm just getting started with the youtube and I'm not used to getting any comments, that I am sequestered away from my usual internet service. The vines are an awful thing and you are right almost impossible to get ahead of them. I do have about 9 acres in horse paddocks that were covered in vine many years ago, they have been free of vines for decades. Keep up the battle!
@@jeffjones6541 Keep up the good fight. 😎
If you are located anywhere even half way close to mobile AL or Cincinnati OH., I want to see you. You do what i cant find anyone to do
Hi Duane, I'm in New York. I really don't understand why more people don't offer this service. Its not my business I bought the brake lathe for my own use. I think its not done because it is so easy to buy new drums. If you have a lot of trailers it is worth doing. Thanks for commenting.
@@jeffjones6541 Thamks for the come back. I have 4 trailers that I have replaced all hubs on that i kmow could have been saved just due to magnet surface being messed up a d no one willing/able to clean up magnet surface. I found an ammco brake lathe that looks like yours i am trying to get. Thanks
@@jeffjones6541 we have setup our metal lathe with the correct arbors and tools to machine electric drums in our rv/trailer repair business. Everytime we replace magnets/shoes they get machined if there is enough meat left. I think we are the only people that do it around here.
Hi John, That's good to hear, it makes such a difference in how well the brakes work! I would have put them on my lathe but the old Logan 10 inch was just not big enough! Thanks for the comment!
@@jeffjones6541 definitely. Hardly any bedding in required of new shoes or magnets either. Its very surprising how quickly they can become glazed, even more so with light use. 👍
