I have a 48” wide x 30” dia roller. Filled with concrete. Homebuilt. I love it. Only regrets are it isn’t as wide as the tractor. Thus the tire tracks are not covered. The hitching is off set to cover one tire track …envy!

Personally, I am a fan of overkill. I rarely hear anyone say "I just wish I hadn't built it so heavy duty..." That looks like it is sized just right for the job at hand!
    Take care and God Bless.

Love the roller. I would take a compacted lawn over a bumpy one any day. The technical term for your scraper blade is a doctor blade. They are heavily used in industrial rollers such as the rolls of a paper mill.

i built one just like it 25 years ago for my orchard floor. Huge help on restoring floor after downed trees from hurricanes. when i saw your shot of the water/mud coming from in front of it i smiled, now that is doing a perfect job leveling. When it dries out you ride is smooth as a table top. Great job there

I roll my yard at the start of each season with my little 42" mower pulling a 36" plastic roller mostly filled with water. $15 for 4 hours or $25 for 24 hours. I can load / unload myself in / out of my pickup. It does make a big difference at the start of each mowing season. Great video, thanks. Be well, be safe!

it's only over kill if your ground stops accepting water and lets most of it runoff. old field hum.... that's too much grass with out a purpose, you need to open up a mini gold or driving range, longest drives are just under 450' so.....i think your front porch is safe.
