WOW!! Literally what the community has asked ED for years!! The fact that we finally get the damn UNDO button and a way to select stuff by click and drag is AWESOME. This is incredible, I'd pay for this, as long as it's not subscription based. Thank you!!!
This is AMAZING. This is exactly what should have always been available in the actual DCS mission editor from the get go. Thanks a million for doing this. Looks like the most useful tool I've ever seen for mission making! Cannot wait! :)
That turns hours of works into minutes, literally. Not having to launch the mission to check the placement of the units to make sure they are as you want, being able to quickly create (and share I assume) templates, THE UNDO BUTTON, etc. I wonder is it easily possible to replace units with different ones, e.g. on the FARP if I want to change the containers, can I select all on the screen and replace them to something different ? This is an absolute game changer, astonishing work !
This looks like a tremendous tool for mission editors. Looking forward to seeing it in action! Is there an earlier version of this (not 3D, I would guess) already out there?
I saw this a few years ago, a user had rigged the two streams to do this. It was way over my head to follow his instructions... Great to see it simplified for us dumb old guys 😂
Does look like a very impressive piece of work. Will be happy to buy it once it is released. But, will not get it if its availability is based on a ‘subscription’ model 🤷🏻♂
looks very cool, and i get that someone put time into it, and I'd buy it, but not as a subscription. Not paying 50 a year for it. Someone spending dozens or hundreds of hours in editor, it's probably worth it.
@@dcs-web-editorvery nice. Any plans or thoughts about tying this into ability to then “publish” this to a dedicated server . Ie I create/edit the mission and then could possibly push it to my server ?

I model on XPlane, currently making RAF Little Staughton, home of 582 Pathfinder Lancasters and over 300 buildings! Is there any way to make, then add, your own custom structures for DCS? It would be great if my work could be dual purposed as it will be the most authentic WW2 Bomber Command airfield.
@@dcs-web-editor thanks for the tip. The models are made in Sketchup then exported as .obj's to Xplane, each with its own .png texture. Could these be converted to DCS or would I need to remake them? I'm 6 months in, having modeled the bomb dumps, lighting, hangars, some vehicles and many buildings. Probably finishing the project in the autumn.
ngl the 2d editor isnt the best its hard to tell what building is which or if they are facing the right way along with it being super small generic icons
@@dcs-web-editor well, then is there a manual of how to use it, because yesterday I visited it and it didn't have half of the options that appear in the video. And even with that I was impressed! I don't have discord, though...
Running the Map with multiple units while using the editor - I can see lots of crashing PC's! This may be only feasable in low quality and MT! Which is also a great thing, but low detail, treees etc will not show up and units set in editor and having no top cover will probably be covered by trees or other objects that only spawn in on high settings... And I know that even my editor without 3D Map and the bigger map modules like Syria crashes lots when using more than 1000 objects...loading into preview... And I have the Hardware golore for it, before someone tells me to buy a better PC - There is none!
I didn't have a single crash. Hmm it sounds like you need a fresh DCS install. The 2D editor costs negligible resources, and you can even run it on a different computer than DCS

As a mission maker myself, I conquer, this is going to be a great year for DCS in all aspects
This and Olympus now, both look awesome
When released it is gonna be a massive game-changer both for users and campaign creators
God bless you all
As a long term DCS player ... three words!
OH MY GOD!!!
Your team is AMAZING!!!! Thank you so much for this.
WOW
Crazy how the community is surpassing the Devs themselves with tools like these!. Hopefully we will see terrain editing come next
This is surely a brilliant work for the developer. I had initially thought this was officially from DCS. My salute to the developers.

We could add a swap feature
Most important feature: “There’s also an undo button”
This is amazing. I've always wanted a 3D editor like we have in Arma for DCS. Great work!
This is a real game changer!
Kudos to all of you!
Just incredible, awesome work everyone !
Incredible work
I truly can't wait, this will help so much. Thank you!
I can't wait for this. Only now can I turn my age back to spend more time with it.
WOW!! This is a game changer for mission building!!
Yes please!!! :D
This is very much needed since it can be a tedious task to get units placed correctly on the 2d map.
Im so freaking excited for this, As i love creating missions.
this is the first time seeing this for me some amazing work being done. im going to add your channel to my must see modders list
About time... after a few years off, I might get back into DCS again
Damn guys!! You've really put an amazing amount of work here!!
Thank you so much for this amazing tool.
Marvelous
This looks outstanding! This is what the editor should have been out of the box!
This looks like a tremendous tool for mission editors. Looking forward to seeing it in action! Is there an earlier version of this (not 3D, I would guess) already out there?
Yes, the 2D version is already available to patrons. Theres a 7 day trial also. www.patreon.com/DcsWebEditor. It's going to beta in the next days
TOP, TOP,TOP
About time!!! I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Congratulations❤
This is sick and insanely robust
Finally! looks similar like il2 1946 editor :D
Nice i wait so long for this. Now the editing are getting much better
Wow, this is an awesome tool. Much appreciated!!!!
Wow this is great! This will help in so many ways.
What a TRULY cool tool! Thanks!

Well done Gents 🤙🏻☺️
Thank you very much for the realization! 🙏
This effort must be rewarded.
That would even be worth a subscription to me 👍
You guys have created something really useful here. Well done and wishing you every success. Is the paid plan a one-off purchase a subscription?
Amazing. How and when can I get this?!

Wth is that amazing. I will test that. What a cool program.

Wonderful
Wanting this since the original il2 editor !
That is soooo sick!
Ok this is PRETTY slick. How is the progress coming to Beta stage?
perfect!!
Great stuff.. curious how long has this been in development . Looks like a true passion for DCS to create this!
Does this require DCS?
The 2D editor even runs on an iPad. For the 3D view you need DCS installed
@@dcs-web-editorvery nice. Any plans or thoughts about tying this into ability to then “publish” this to a dedicated server . Ie I create/edit the mission and then could possibly push it to my server ?
probably you dont want to expose your file system to the web. but your server could curl it from our site
Wow as a server owner and mission developer, I need to try it, placing hundreds of units by hand is painful
This looks super cool! Any estimate on public launch date?
I can finally make dcs missions at work on my work macbook lol

I would pay good money for this.
It’s probably time for the ED devs to just had DCS off to the community. It’ll probably progress much faster

yeah it can be done with templates, first add the items in the DCS Editor. Save the mission, then open in DCS Web Editor and make a template

Great stuff but is it 15$ for every month?
The editor beta is only $4 per month. The 3D view is currently in alpha, which requires alpha patron

currently the 3D editor is available to alpha patrons only
