I love how this video is put together along with the music like a brilliant mosaic of history, pageantry, order. It also helps me a lot with my history and language skills...plus brings out my inner tomboy like no other. When I was young, most of the girls my age were into playing with Barbie dolls and/or following the latest fashion trends. Me, I liked reading old war comics like SGT ROCK, HAUNTED TANK, ETC and playing army with my friends, pretending I was like Mademoiselle Marie, a member of the French Resistance. There use to be an old and long narrow tunneled waterway near my friend's house and some railroad tracks. I was probably the one who was both small and brave enough to go through alone there without a scratch because they said the place was infested with rats. After I came out again, I smiled back at them and said, "Rats? What rats? I saw a few small mice in there, but no rats! Any one of you brave boys care to go in there to check and see for yourselves?" None of them did. Besides, it proved to be a good shelter when it rained. I also explored another similar type tunnel under the playground of my school and got out of there through a storm drain, some 500 feet distant...and I didn't encounter any rats there either, but it sure flipped some of my classmates out, though...LOL There's something to be said about being small, young, brave and curious😜

Composed by the Prussian "March King" Johann Piefke (1815-1884). Born in Poland. Another great march is "Koniggratzer Marsch".
There is this Canadian-made documentary on WWI that is aired regularly here in the States on the American Heroes Channel and at the end of the first episode as the credits roll, it plays this march. It was a catchy tune and I wondered what the march was titled and kept searching on RUclips to find the full-length version and luckily I found your video. For the record, I thought the march was German but later I found out it was Prussian. At least I was close.
Prussians and Germans are basically the same thing. Without Prussia, Germany would not exist today

from different historical movies...
I can identify at least three sources. One is the Nazi propaganda flick Kolberg (the scene with the black uniforms). The Waterloo clips come from the film of the same name. And the part with Bismark comes from a German TV documentary series called "Die Deutschen"). There's a lot of other clips I can't place, however.
Its from an old German Democratic Republic movie called "Sachsens Glanz und Preussens Gloria" ...
