“What is this, where is my expected piece of power?” We’ve gone from “I never open power any ways” to “I always open power” in the space of just about 1 week. Amazing.
Oooo ty for showing those picks by BK. I haven't seen that laid out like that before and I was wondering how it tracked the teams picks for analysis. I would love to see more perspectives on some of the drafts sometime, I find it interesting to see how it plays out for others at the table.
I feel like the harvester was better than grave titan at 1:04:00. Harvester forces the double block due to menace. This leaves you with a vaultborn tyrant and 21 life and him with just 1 dragon on 1 life with a mana crypt in play.
Not that it mattered, but you forgot that the Harvester has menace and he would have had to double block the harvester leaving you with the tyrant verse his empty board.
3:44 LSV: "Bazaar of Baghdad is actually a pretty strong card" ~May 10 2024 I'll record the next time he says a bad thing about Library of Alexandria too
@Luis Scott-Vargas Hey dude if its ever possible please can we have a BK and Patrick Sullivan super team strictly banter draft i would pay big money for that...dont know how but like take my money! Last one was great.
I think he was basing that statement off of the power of the creatures he had, the likelihood that he was going to get more, and that he was a reanimator deck in general. There was even a video in recent history where he was hoping that a Eureka would wheel with 4 cards left in the pack, and it didn't.
Eureka is much better in pod drafts than phantom, and even better than that in teams. It’s bad in phantom because your OP could also have an emrakul, and they get to use theirs first. But pod/teams give you much more info and control over what your OP could put into play. It’s still not amazing, but if you are playing a big dumb idiot deck and can afford the GG, it can still win games.
@@Zdubez87 One potential way to get around that scenario is drafting Portal to Phyrexia to go with it, but yeah, there's a reason Show and Tell often gets ignored as well.
Palantir felt like an unsung hero, yes it did a bunch of damage via luck but also provided reasonable card selection that you were lacking without the tutors.
@@LSVargas That is true and that does make sense. Yah i think you're right and that taking Thoughtseize is better team wise. That's a very disciplined pick.
game rule variant??::: ""each player can give and receive a single card to and from their teammates in deck building, before any match 1 takes place."" what do you think?
It really just makes the draft a little bit more boring because you just snap up an objectively best card in one of your first picks without needing to worry about how it fits or if it it cuts a teammate, etc. It seems like it should increase teamwork, but it ultimately just reduces the decision making during the draft - which is usually the most engaging part anyway.
@@bricelory9534 I don't think it changes nearly anything about the draft. it just means that there is additional reward for hate drafting. the best team drafters are already often taking the best cards in packs even if they don't need them
Deny them any resources with the draw sevens + draw seven punishers and then beat down with generous ent, leovold and golos. Alternatively tough cookie can animate all those artifacts

1:03:10 I believe it would have been lethal had you put Harvester via Through the Breach since it also has menace (because like why not)
The video was 20 seconds late I was panicking
Cold truths
When daylight savings hit I was worried he got in a car accident or something... Close one...
Same
Hahahahaha
Palantir just casually dealing 18 damage in 2 turns
It’s my birthday and I can’t think of a better way to start it
Love seeing so many new and niche cards flexing to show why they deserve spots in the cube
That Palantir was the mvp
Dude Smasher with the 5 min tank into the known memory laps......coulda saved us some time man
Wow, first time EVER seing LSV actually opening power. So deserved. He so, so, so rarely does
One of the rare events where LSV keeps calling cards and pulling them off the top!
in the first game, is it at all worth considering thoughtsiezing YOURSELF turn one to Death Woodfall turn 2?

"eureka is a good card" wait? when did that happen?
Mind twist is getting its redemption too

I am still waiting for an Elemental Eruption deck! :D Anyways good reference to Warcraft XD and thanks for the vod ^^
@1:04:05 menace?
im surprised there was no mention of taking yavimaya to turn your bazaar into a mana producing land. I guess the faithless looting was just better
Also increases the odds of hard casting a couple green cards - probably Looting is still better though.
Palantir felt like an unsung hero, yes it did a bunch of damage via luck but also provided reasonable card selection that you were lacking without the tutors.
35:15 it would’ve been even better to cast frantic search off of voidwalker, leaving you enough mana to pay for the spell pierce
I like discarding the Proving Ground around the 23 min mark. In a way, it's like cycling it without paying the 3.
That was a really fun deck and really scary, bombs at every casting cost
Match 2 g2 was utter demolition... I've never seen someone get beaten that profoundly
Interesting.
I would slam that Entomb over Thoughtseize.
Think Entomb is a more powerful card but alot of people disagree with that 🤔
It’s not about that, it’s that one of these is way more likely to be used by the other team. In an individual draft i for sure would have taken entomb
@@LSVargas That is true and that does make sense. Yah i think you're right and that taking Thoughtseize is better team wise. That's a very disciplined pick.
That's the weirdest Demonic Tutor I've ever seen!
Guys, draftmancer just won't load, is it banned in Italy/EU?
1:04:17 I think you forgot the Harvester of Mystery has Menace
right in time for my break as always

"I was forecast a piece of power"
Woodfall going the distance.
Wow BK managed to get 2 copies of swords to plowshares, crazy
How would BK’s deck actually win the game if Blighsteel was exiled? Like it looks amazing but how does it make the opponent actually lose.

thought seize is discard outlet
This draft was Vintage Luck Skill Victory!!!
Hostile investigator has 14 cards that proc it in your deck
Not sure if SSS is being shit on or LSV just didn't notice it lol
I feel like LSV under rates the regrowth.
Palantir just sometimes wins you the game.
