I'm currently working with someone who asked me to color for them (it's their huge project) and I thought of these colors for their theme, but because they're expensive and I didn't know how to blend them, I was nervous to try them out... wow! It's so weird because I was thinking of this today :P

it also helps to use blending card. printer paper is too thin, sketch baper also pretty thin, and too absorbant, and bristol board is often to obsorbant and the ink dries too quick making it so that you can't get a consistant blend. It's a nice collection you have there, I only have about 50, but you can do a lot with just 50

Thanks so much! I really had no clue anymore how to blend them. Now I do! Yesssss! So happy. Copics can be expensive, but if you take care of them...they really do last forever. Mine are freaking 25 years old. Haven't used them in more then 10 years and they just say...hey how are you doing today. Let's get to work...:)

This is amazing. The finished piece looks like you did this digitally. Copic is definitely on the pricier side but now I see why. I’m saving up for the 72 color set. I can’t wait!!! Almost there though! :)

Does this stain the other markers? For example if i blended a yellow into an orange would it stain the yellow marker orange? Copics are expensive and i dont want to ruin them.

I have an off brand that’s still alcohol based, and the tips aren’t brush tips. How would I go about shading with them?
hi! basicly the same process. some people even prefer normal tips, but I think it's a bit easier with brush tips :)

I think those alcohol based markers blend really well, even the cheap ones! bristol paper is the best! and I can recommend Micronpens...

I heard it's easier to blend dark to light (that's the method I use and it's much better)
