- The waterpushing pike fly is nowadays a very popular pattern, especially for its ability to catch large pike. This articulated version has the same function as the original pattern but with a slightly longer body consisting of 2 hooks.
In fact, this pattern is easier to cast than the original.
But hold on to your gear because this is a fly that is liked by the big girls .
Hook: Ahrex TP610 #6/0 main, Ahrex TP610 #4/0 Tail
Glue: Zap a gap brush on, Zap Gel, Gulff UV resin - thinman,
Thread: Power tread 100D - White
Connection: Partridge Bauer Pike leader wire 40LB, Articulation Beads 6mm - Silver and Sparkle Fl. Orange
Head: Bauer Water pushing Foam 20mm - White
Tail: Dragon tail XL - Fl. Orange, 2 mm bead - White, fastach size 0, 0,50 mm Fl. Carbon

I have switched to waterpushing flies for a while now. Marc Zitvast from Smartlures was very instrumental in helping me with the foam bars, rigs, tieing materials and I have to admit they work superbly! I would be lieing if I wrote I wouldn’t like to win this fly! 😀 It looks so amazing and I have found this type of pike fly often outfishes other patterns in The Netherlands. Bufords being right up there at the list as well!

fly interpretation of the famous miuras mouse. Great fly simply. Miuras mouse is simply a fly adapted to be cast by a casting or spinning rod, basically it is a fly (with a lot of bucktail).
