    Great video once again mate. It's actually refreshing to see car ownership reviews for people that have owned their car like a normal person for more than a year. Too many youtubers have their car for 6 months and it's gone.
    Love the Polo project as you know so I hope you keep that up. I also hope you keep the car should you decide to buy another at some point. Having a project car could be fun further down the line. Engine swap project perhaps 😁👌🏻

      I'll definitely keep the Polo, I have a plan for the ultimate 9n project that I really want to enact, but I'll definitely need a new car before I can get on with that... we'll re-evaluate later this year 🤙🏽

    I love these videos so much. As a guy that owned a Pegueot 206 2011 as a first car, I loved the fact it could do so much for what it was. It took me on quite long distances from home to places, it had enough boot space for stuff I needed to carry and I could fit 4 additional people inside quite tightly but they would enter nontheless. The fuel economy wasn't bad either altho not so good for the car it size (it was a 1.4 with 74HP which is absurd amount of HP for an engine that size) but it didn't felt slow like the manufactor claimed. All in all I was happy owning it for a year but if I knew in a year from then I would have the oppurtunity to buy a 2017 Renault Clio 0.9TCe for a good price, I wouldn't even bother buying that Peugeot in the first place cause it did quite cost me a lot to maintain altho it was surprisingly reliable for what it was. Nontheless even for the money I lost for it, im glad I had the oppurtunity to own a car like that just to get a feel of these European hatchbacks.

    One tip.. when doing a 3point turn etc. Never turn the wheel if the car is not moving. Creates lots of tension on ur suspension parts and also kill ur tire profile. As soon as the car start rolling than turn the wheel all the way realy quikly. And also when u taking a 3 point turn, turn the wheel back just a little to make the wheels straight,right before u kiss the sidewalk or side of the road. This way ur turning cirkel will start sooner therefore smaller. And mayb a 3point turn can be a cool 2point turn. How i learned myself with my curent polo 9n3. Good review vid.

    • @tobiasvolk366
      @tobiasvolk366 5 лет назад

      Interiors didn't change between the model years
      You just got a better interior trim level
      JB just got the baseline with almost nothing in terms of options sadly...
      The trim levels where
      Baseline, Comfortline, Trendline and best one whas Highline where electric mirrors, El. Windows, AC, better seats, zentral locking and other stuff where standard but you could ad much more stuff like a automatically operating rear mirror with rain sensor, automatic climate control, a charging port in the boot rear speakers, a CD changer under the passenger seat or even leather interior or an automatic gearbox (wich mine got Wenn I bought it... But that's a thing of the past because there is a 5speed now)
      And there where also special editions like the GOAL or the GT-Rocket, FUN and Cross(those where 9N and 9N3 "offroad" Versions), Blue Motion, Kricket, Cup Edition(basically a Performance GTI version with 30more HP and bigger front brakes and bigger bodykit)

Or even a 3 series bimmer would go for that kind of money, like an E92 or E93! You could even go for a 2012 Jag XF with around 40k miles if you were willing to go down the saloon route - probably be the quickest of the bunch, but insurance etc might be a little pricey... if you were willing to go for a 2 door then you could go for a John Cooper Works with slightly more miles on it?

Only things I've done are upgraded sparks, filter and 2" catback race exhaust. Nice sound but not TOO noisy. I hate small engine cars with dustbin sized mufflers! *How did I forget the ARB!?! It handles well, it pulls well and I dont think I have to introduce the 1.9tdi haha. Good economy, good power, no dpf: perfection. It does sound like a traktor but I personally like diesel sound so... :D the 1.6 petrol isnt so bad either, even cheaper to insure but that is thirsty a bit but sounds nice.
    My mate drives one of them for quiet a long time now and its a bless. He bought it with 160k miles, needed a water pump and thats it, no issues since. Hes about to hit 200k and knowing the engine he will hit 400 and 500 easy as long as he changes the oil and uses good oil.
    Edit: oh yeah 280 doesnt sound cheap but considering Im turning 19 this summer, its very good.

Also I agree with you, the Brabus Roadster would be what I’d go for if I could only have a 1.2 or less. Although I think they’re only a 0.7 rather than a 0.9, just tuned differently to the likes of a normal roadster like mine.

    Review was good mate! I see you took the LED lights out of your car then? Man, 18 seconds really is slow, I cant believe youre paying similar insurance to me and im 20 years old with a car which is insurance group 30!
    TOPIC:
    You made a really good choice, I'd probably realistically choose the same as well tbh! Keeping with the tiny engine RWD theme you've started though, I'd throw in the Renault Twingo GT, puts out 108bhp and 0-60 sub 10. Realistically I'd choose the RS Twingo 133, but their engines are bigger than the 1.2L limit :(

    • @CarsWithJB
      @CarsWithJB  5 лет назад

      Cheers - glad you think so! Yes actually they were ripped out my a passenger accidentally about a week into them being in the car, and I couldn't be bothered to fit them back! Honestly I'm getting shafted here - I will get that changed as soon as I get the chance; I've been faffing with it for too long. Yes the Brabus Roadster is the real deal, but a twingo GT is a fair choice too; and you can always aspire to the RS!

    Hello, I got same engine in my Fabia. When I was trying 0-60, I found out, that it's little bit better, when I don't use 4th gear before 60. With empty car it was around 16 seconds. It's basically same car :)

    • @CarsWithJB
      @CarsWithJB  5 лет назад +1

    • @RomanF3011
      @RomanF3011 5 лет назад

      When I used 4th gear, my time was almost same. This engine have most of it's power between 3000 - 4000 thousand revs (good in city, or country roads), so it feels like it needs higher gear sooner, but it's better to go beyond it :D But it's not bad from this small, 54 hp engine. I watch your channel mainly because of your Polo :-) I like cheap and simple cars and like I said, my Fabia is almost the same car (only different design). My car only needs better wheels, because now I got 13' with 155 millimeters wide tires, so handling is not the best :D (I have base model called "Junior", it doesn't even have power steering :D ).

      @@CarsWithJB Currently got an 07 1.4l facelift 9n polo, and I'm seriously eyeing up the mito as an upgrade now. I would think about the Ibiza but the sister's got one, so it kind of puts that out the shot for now.

    Can you do a review on vw polo 1.2L E 60 (2005-2009) for 17 year olds

    Car with max of 1.2L is easy for me. Fiesta Ecoboost with the MR165 Mountune kit on it.
    Incidentally, that 0-60 time is almost identical to the 1/4 mile time of my old Peugeot 306 1.6 LX. That was such a great car...although not so much for the drag racing ☺ Not really the point of small hatches anyway though, can't lift off oversteer round a roundabout in an Aventador.

      Ah that's actually a great shout - didn't consider tuned cars! I'd probably commit to the Brabus Roadster but with the Smartuki kit (GSX engine swap, looks ridiculous) - haha agreed (or lift off understeer in the Polo lol)

      Even stock it's 138bhp, which is a bit mental for a 1 litre. I'm assuming we're discounting one-offs like the GSC-R equipped Brabus roadster. There's always the option of importing a tuned Daihatsu Copen or Honda S660 though. Not a cheap option, but the Liberty Walk Copen GT-R looks hilarious.

    1.2 l or under. I’d have a mr165 mountune package 1.0 ecoboost fiesta.
