When Bizly walked up to a totally non-real, in game rendered monkey wrench, and the it turns out to have been an actual, real-life, corporeal monkey wrench
“Would you kindly” is the greatest twist in gaming. It had almost never happened before and it made it the best. Since then we all deep down suspected something like that.
The ending of Bioshock seeing all the Little Sisters coming to see Jack again and holding his hand while he’s in his hospital bed is so FRICKIN SWEET to see. They never forgot about the man who saved them and gave them a chance to live out their lives.
Yeah, this is bark worthy. Looking forward to "An immersive journey through Bioshock 2". Through Fallout. Through Halo. Through Cooking Mama. So many places to put this man.
I'll never forget my first experience with Bioshock the year after it's release. It changed literally the entire medium of video games overnight. It was the first video game to make the mainstream acknowledge that, while not perfect (like anything in life), this medium is still nonetheless a genuine artform.
i think that an underrated addition that it added was the window cutscene. Just like Bizly said in the video, if anything they make him more powerless to the in-game situation, but that's what makes those types of scenes powerful when done right. My favorite example of a window cutscene is probably one of the early scenes in Dead Space, where you watch part of your crew get attacked by necromorphs whilst the vents around you clang and bump only signaling to you that you have no time stand and watch but at the same time you cannot look away from the scene before you. Theres a lot of irony with this scene as well because when you go into it you know that you're safe from the monster attacking your friends but you also obviously want to help them despite the fact that you fully know that there is absolutely NOTHING you could do to save them. (ofc when you start NG+ in the remake this feels a little silly for you because at that point you feel like you could fight god but that's just how NG+ usually feels)
The video essays themselves are amazing and the editing is incredible, but my god I have never been more blown away then when the DAMN "Subscribe" button lights up when he say's "would you kindly Subscribe" never knew that was a thing that you could do and wow I must be a sleeper agent because that worked.
Seeing you “walk” through rapture actually makes it feel tangible and adds a more realistic element to the game. I know it sounds weird but I feel like you’re the only guy who actually adds to the game itself and not just the discussion. Bioshock is in my top 3 of games and nobody has done it justice the way you did here. Incredible work, truly
Genuinely this is such an incredibly unique and interesting way to tell this story. As someone who’s never played bioshock, it immediately had me hooked. Literally such a great idea and concept for this, amazing work

I usually listen to video essays on my way to work. Just hook up to the Bluetooth and go. This is the first time I've wanted to watch the actual video. The bar has been raised.
properly putting the video in the essay for once (another really great VE to watch is Defunctland's "Disney Channel's Theme: A History Mystery," it actually brought a tear to my eye and its visuals are stunningly exectued.)
This is one of the few games where I honestly get excited about an audio log. I listen to every one and usually stop what I'm doing so some other voice line doesnt interrupt it. So good.
The thing that’s twisted is that Jack is technically only around 2 years old. They used adam and plasmid enhancements to rapidly age his body to that of a man in his early 20s. Then implanted false memories of a life that never actually happened. There is an audio recording in the game of Suchong explaining it. But it’s completely out of context and you don’t realize the recording is talking about Jack.

I don't comment on videos often, but oh my god. This video. This was so amazing. I didn't have to be told bioshock was an amazing game. It left its mark on me as a child and has since been my favorite narratively driven game ever. I've seen so many videos about it, so many that fall so very short of what is done here. The love, dedication, and hard work put into your video is very apparent, and I would like to say thank you. Not just for making a video that was absolutely amazing, but for really paying respect to the title itself. Jesus Christ dude I can tell you and geek went all out with this. The editing is so amazing as well as script writing and general direction. I think it's hard to make someone want to experience a game for themself after seeing a summary of it, and while the game itself lends to that, it's also the video essayist that makes that possible. I think the way the game was portrayed so beautifully is so helpful for that. It felt less like I was watching some random dude explain shit to me and more like I was seeing what the game really is. Plus some random dude explaining shit to me but I think you get what I mean. The immersion in your videos has become so so amazing and so impressive. I don't think I've seen stuff like it before tbh. Plus some random dude explaining shit to me but I think you get what I mean.
The immersion in your videos has become so so amazing and so impressive. I don't think I've seen stuff like it before tbh.
Not to mention, the immersion is also a great help to attention span. I only checked my phone like once during a 50 minute video which is insanely impressive lol.
Keep up the great work man, you're killing it
This is hands down some of the most intriguing use of a green screen in a video essay I have ever seen. Got me reeled in from the start!
Just found your channel and I gotta say this is far and above 99% of all gaming content on this platform. Your editing and story telling is tops, funny too. Definitely gained one more subscriber today!
You're the only channel towards the end of the video that asked me to subscribe and I actually did. You do amazing work.
The amount of effort you both put into this is apparent within minutes of starting this video! Bioshock is my all-time favorite, and it brings me so much joy that there are still people out there with the same love that want to create a production like this!! Can't wait to see what you do next.
Is this a walkthrough? A review? A story explanation?
Well, it's all of them, and it is great.
Love your artistic style, even if there are hundreds of video about Bioshock on RUclips, this still feel something new, thanks to the way you out them togheter with you editing. Great job, keep it up.
Such a creative way of editing, so cool! Wouldn't be surprised if other RUclipsrs try to replicate this style
if they do that just means we won hahaha
This goes in the ‘Perfect RUclips Videos’ playlist. This is REALLY special, thank you so much for this piece of art 🤲🏻 I’m so glad youtube recommended me your vid. From the short preview it played I knew this was gonna be a BANGER. Huge freaking props to you and your editor !!!

I'm in awe of how amazing you were able to make this. You and your editor(s?) did fantastic and that's not even addressing the amazing scripting, pacing, and acting that you put into this. Thank you for taking the time to make this video, it was a joy to watch
Been watching since you started, easily one of my favourite YT channels. Such an incredible, well edited video about one of my favourite games ;)
your editor does such a great job. and I loved seeing your growth and enthusiasm when you started out
Great video and very well put together.
Caught this video 5 months later. This is genuinely the most well put together video game essay video on RUclips in structure, editing, and humor. So well done dude! Please keep it up I love this game too!
The immersive editing is really entertaining. Really well done and clever exploring the story through the POV character while also talking about the game mechanics. Like hitting two birds with one stone. Kudos
The quality and effort put into this video is simply amazing. Love love love
This video is absolutely insane. What a way to do a video wow!
Instant subscribe love the immersion of your videos! Also as a bioshock fan it’s nice to see a new video about it that I haven’t watched already over a zillion times!
I've had a bioshock background on my computer for 8 years now, the art style, the voice actors, the plot twist the storyline, the characters the distopian world. IT has been my fixation for so long. Like imagine living there when things were okay the dream. I am glad to see a passion man with my favorite game.
I am a woman and i approve this video, the talent, the visual, the sound 10 out of 10.
Definitly subscribed. I love you!
Your style is so distinct and clean, your jokes hit super well, and I stayed interested the whole piece 💙 I can absolutely see you blowing up and cultivating a very close and engaging community here! It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited to find a new channel, thank you for your time!!
Never played Bioshock, but this might still be one of my favorite videos by you. A certified Bizly (& Geek, editing is crazy good) banger right here.
I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. You are the blueprint of what a quality content creator is. Your stuff is insightful, passionate, funny, incredibly well made, and personal. This 50 minute video felt like 20 minutes because I was so entertained and encapsulated. I love love LOVE your stuff!
The format you use as a method of directing, and framing the narrative of your story breakdown for this legendary piece of legacy hd gaming is absolutely phenomenal. I wish more channels formatted reviews, and plotline summaries the way you do while also preserving the novelty of your creative direction by following their own derivative of it.
Ive watched your outlaws and now bioshock reviews and i gotta say, you sir are making some really content. Gives me a sort of Actman levels of nuisance and deep diving. Keep up the excellent work mate, definitely earned a sub
This is like a playthrough but so much better, the editing and greenscreen work is majestic. Please, GIVE US MORE OF THIS!
will forever be a fan of the way u structure ur videos . never bored . the set shit you got going on this time is insane
It's amazing what a green screen, RGB light bulbs and graphical skills can do.
Happy to say I'm here before this guy hits 1 million, everything from the editing, script, humor, and timing of his jokes are just top notch and so refreshing! Definitely looking forward to binge watching his channel and seeing what he has in store for us in the future! Keep up the amazing work! Instant subscribe 😁👍
the sheer amount of dedication to the greenscreen and the editing makes video absolute primo, on top of being a competent analysis video!
How much time did this single video take from conception to writing to filming then editing? If you're not pulling at least a full three days of hard working like there's hellfire bellow you and losing a bit of sleep on top you're an absolute madman and you're wasted on youtube. Go be a film maker or something I'll buy tickets to your first show front row cuz you are absolutely going placed
I absolutely love your green screen work and how you put yourself into the world I don't know anyone else doing this to this caliber!
this only having 20k views is legit criminal. this was so well edited, when you were in front of the glass between you and tennanbaum the lighting was seriously perfect you blended in so well there and everywhere else in the whole video
Bizly is such an amazing storyteller it blows my mind everytime. I keep on thinking I won't stick around for the full hour, but here i am, ruining my sleep schedule and eating dirt bc no way am i pausing this to find some decent mud to snack on. Thankd Bizlbop!
This game will always have a special place in my heart. I always find myself replaying one of these games every couple years.
Also the editing in the video is top tier. Insane work dude
this video is equally as amazing as my first time experiencing bioshock for the first time. The editing was so immersive and even allowed me to feel like I was seeing my own first experience of the game. I really hope you get to continue making art like this with many more games so everyone else can experience what I felt watching this💜
Wow, I rarely comment. This is hands down the best video to ever come up in my recommend. The length of detail, the description of the game, the green screen work, the editing. Truly amazing, very well done! +1 sub here
The quality is crazy, I can't wait for many more videos
Damn man it’s my favorite game of all time, that final good ending had me crying when I was younger hit me right in the feels
this is about the most immersive youtube video i've ever seen. i know others already gave similar comments but this can't be said enough. not only came your love for the game through but it's like you took the viewer with you to rapture and i haven't felt this immersed since playing it for the first time almost 20(holy shit it's been almost 20) years ago.
that editing with you grabbing the bottle in the intro was enough to make me subscribe. that shit was hollywood level CGI to Live Action interaction
50:22 when she asks me to whip it out

HAHAHA
The golden age of bizly hair is upon us
I used to sit on my dads lap and watch him play it, he passed in 2010, BioShock just hits different, i love the world, the story, everything, it's easily in my top 10
i absolutely love your editing yourself into the world of the game, its very unique and makes a huge impact on making the video fun and charming! im so excited to see more of your fun game video essay things lol
I honestly hesitated watching this video only because ive seen so many other bioshock video essays and I play the game yearly so i didnt see a need to, but today i finally decided to watch it and damn am i glad i did, the presentation here is masterful and much more unique than other videos on video games, sub well earned and you deserve much more, cant wait to see what other games you cover in this style, i loved it.
