- This is a music video that I made using Game cam and windows movie maker. It features the song "Iron man" by Die Krupps (KMFDM re-mix)
note: I could'nt find a way to turn off the hud so sorry if its a distraction.

i love this song! i love this game! and i most deffinately love this video!!!!
overall a sweet music vid, this makes me want to play the games more than anything else I have seen or read about them, I am referring to both Qs 2 and 4. The Strogg have come a long way from their first incarnation, I hate the remade Makron though, he was way more intimidating in Quake 2. I loved the choice of music as well, really suited the overall mood of the movie and the theme the Strogg puts forth, the Cyberman/Borg "You Will Become Like Us" routine.
You've done a really great job synchronizing the music with the video, as it should be. Takes a lot of talent, bravo! Also, an excellent track to run it with as well.
Quake 4 has it's own, dark and fucked up atmosphere that i haven't felt in any other game.
I love it.
Indeed, newer games seem to not have as memorable boss battles as classic games.
This guy knows how to use flycam at the scenes!

Nice choice of song, as it really does fit the Strogg...the HUD wasn't really a distraction to be honest, but I was thankful you took down the weapons in the display...I also noticed you used No Clip and No Target for some of the scenes as the Strogg didn't shoot you..it's actually clever though...if your gonna make a first person shooter music video, you should use the cheats, especially noclip to get the angles you want...nice move and vid halfdude! V-_^

in the end, halo, quake, doom, they all convert to one thing, ALIENS, the movie. that dropship in quake is a direct port of the colonial marines dropship.
It would be nice if we get quake 5 so we can continue kane's story, good video by the way.

the intro video of quake4 reminds me of Starship Trooper and the little landing spacecraft reminds of that same one in Alien2
those things weren't sent to earth in the initial strogg invasion.
it does sometimes depending how you tackle it. if ur on ur own in a quite place then an alien jumps out it gives u a heart attack.
oo that "monster" on 1:52 is from quake 0 that was my favourite monster =D
this videa had a damn lot of parts where i simply started laughing =D
maybe... when I first saw it I thought they were more of a harvester race, jumping from world to world grabbing the raw meat that they need to survive. But in your movie there are scenes of entities being grown, and also the fact that also in the movie there are a lot of beings with unnaturally formed parts and appendages, suggesting genetic tailoring.

Quake 4 was fun, but the 3 first Quakes were best, should have Quake 1 and 2 singleplayer+coop and multiplayer fight should be like Quake 3 Arena.
And im happy the KMFDM cover is here, never remove it.
when i first saw Kane's stroggfied face, he reminded me of Robocop, so i was like, "Call me murphy" every few minutes.

Quake wars is set in a earlier time then Q4.
I have the quake 4 special edition, with quake 2 and its expansions ^^, they both rock a lot.
QUAKE 4 = REAL CyberPunk, you can even call it CyberSLasher! A fusion between the HARDCORE SCI-FI SUBGENRE "CyberPunk" and the HARDCORE Horror-violence subgenre "Slasher" thuse fusioning together "CyberSLasher" CyberlslasherActionIndustrialAssimilation IMPERIALISM-FASCISM-EXPANDING-CORPORATIONS!!! I dont know, I kinda liked the mackron in the new one because he seemed more like a character then a boss since he had a face. The first makron had a sweet design though! I personally wish they didnt change how the normal enemies looked so much. Like the normal troopers in first one actually LOOKED like soldiers, they had ranks on their chest and had alot of armor on. The new troopers look more like monsters.

The Strogg seem to be changing in this one since they have developed bioengineering and by the looks of it simply decided that the original human form was not really needed anymore. I still see cybernetic troopers here and there, but I like the new "Improved" cybermonster stroggs as well. Makron having organic parts and a face are wierd to me, since I've only seen him as the endboss robot with BFG armpits and all...

I could'nt turn the hud off, I wanted to though. Im using GameCam to record, it doesnt record sound unless you pay for it. I have the free soundless version.

@GeckoDude2010 This was a ways back, I think it was a Geforce 6800 ... I think. Right now I have a Geforce 460 GTX. But if your computer can run the game it should look like mine. Make sure you have bump-mapping turned on.
2:55 my fav enemy in game - harvester! IT could beat the shit out of any boss in the game.I compared its health by making video when i kill it in 5 minutes, and i compared it to strongest bosses in game, Macrom and Flying Gigant, and i defeated them 2:35, 2:21. Thats why i like harvester so much.
We should make more game based music videos my bruv. I should help you more than just give the song to go with the game though! lol
I've actually contemplated remastering this from the like 420p it is and getting new high def footage. Do more console work to remove the hud and head-bob, ect. Though that means going through the game again to get all the shots. Some parts though especially towards the end I'd love another shot at redoing lol.. kinda started running out of footage.

umm I dont think genetic tinkering has any part in it. There are many different alien races in the Strogg armies. Also the "entities being grown" thing you said is talking about those torsos I think. Those arnt being grown, they use body parts in thier mechines.

I recommend playing Quake 2 first, you dont need to to understand the story of Quake 4, but it is the first part of the Quake story. Dont bother with Quake 3 it has nothing to do with the story really.

I played quake 2 and beat it, albeit with cheats towards the end... for some reason I cannot comprehend I own two copies of it. maybe I can trade 2+2 for 4.

You'll hardly get anything for it. Since I dont think you can buy it many places you'd be better bidding it off on Ebay as a rare collectable. XD
