Let me just explain something, I made this video for myself years ago using the only clips I could find online. I was learning to edit and I loved the Joker, I didn't care about any quality dips because again, it was a video for me. It just happened to blow up over time. Also, if I had uploaded a full HD video, it most likely would've been taken down years ago. Just clarifying because a lot of people comment about the sound or quality at some parts.
The video you'll just have to deal with, for any audio complaints, there's a plug in called volume master that you can use to increase the volume for those specific parts.

It's crazy how Ledger's Joker is the only decent Joker we have. He's not "an art piece" like Phoenix's "Joker" (that ended up becoming a farce in the sequel, because he isn't the Joker to begin with); he's not the pathetic parody that was Leto's Joker; he's not campy-cartoonish like Nicholson's Joker (or even Hamill's Joker).
Ledger's Joker is somehow dancing at the boundary between reality and fantasy. There are scenes where he is kind of making sense: the speech on "all part of the plan" makes so much sense, why the hell does Batman not go help soldiers on battlefront, he's pretty much a trained soldier himself? His plan of reaching the top of Gotham underworld is done is a very sensible, grounded way. He's playing all these tactical, political stratagems, while also acting like an unhinged crazy person. You actually feel tension when he's in the scene.
The only other time I felt that "dread" was near the end of the movie Parasite. There's something so close to reality in Ledger's performance, but just at the edge, that it makes you question if it will become real or not.

If I had watched this film with zero knowledge of who was playing the Joker, I genuinely don't think I would have ever guessed it was Heath Ledger, and I'm sure people would agree with me. I could watch this film a thousand times and if I didn't know who the actor was behind the makeup, I would be making all kinds of silly guesses but Heath Ledger would definitely not have been one of them. Hey, his Joker was already transformed when Heath played him while Joaquin's was showing the process or caterpillar. I want to see where and how far Joaquin's new found Joker is willing to go. The shoulder lift or shrug reminded me of a child that had been traumatized and was very upset and ready to lash out in a rage. Though the Murray shooting was gruesome and Heath's Joker had some really violent moments; the scene that did it for me (made Joaquin's Joker more Joker than Arthur) is when he quietly locks the chain but not the bottom lock. Then he pulls that knife and stabs the co worker that crossed him in such a brutal fashion ( while his other friend begging him to stop)that the knife actually went through the man's skull all the way down to the handle. (After he repeatedly stabbed the guy thru the heart). He then sits there in the blood as he allows the other guy to leave knowing that he couldn't because of his height.(he even jumps at him playfully to scare him even more) He then unlocks the door and kisses his friend and explains that he considers him a friend and allows him to leave. He went from being a psychotic monster to calm calculating mob boss in less than 5 minutes. That's what makes his the best.

He doesn't scare people beyond being generally crazy. Heath's Joker is all of those things but he's also very intelligent, all the while portraying himself as not. He talks about not having a plan but he is the guy with multiple plans. The fact the joker participated in all his crimes was brilliant. In the cartoon somehow he sabotaged a lot of stuff that would put batman in a tough predicament. The way he was in every single act of crime in the film was dope. Heath ledger really went all out on this role. I'll always love the guy. A lot of people say he got too much into the character and drove him crazy. Don't say that please, he was losing his family at that time, almost no custody of his daughter he was depressed, he didn't report to his doctor he was under certain meds, and the doctor prescribed him other medication. We lost a great man, just due to over medication. Don't disgrace his legacy, he was a great actor. A great man, he was just fighting depression a lot of people don't make it out of that. And the scary part about it is that one of those stories are probably true, but with how insane he is you can never guess if he’s telling the truth.

Am a bit confused right now,but my friend, you gave me inspiration to become even greater.Nobody surpassed my intelect for 30 years now or said something that draw my attention.
But bro, what you did there was solid. That means your so loyal in life that God gifted your brain with clarity so that you can persevere in any given situation thus prove that God is good loving and benevolent to his people and if the human stays loyal to God then he can achieve greatnes through great health and tremendous mindpower.
You reminded me of my childhood ,when i was perfect like that crystal clear thought you shared. but then i got so much bullied and poked on and attacked, that i became the joker, then stoic joker and then i went numb because everybody was boring and miserable to the point it stoped to be fun. to the point that their reactions got the same and so repetitive and predictable so to act like a joker upon them became dull and boring. So i thought to myself that their no worth to revenge no worth of trying to become the batman. They will never get it.They will be peasants for ever.It is just me that somehow i can break the illusion but i dont want to share my power because the good guys secretly bullied me because they werent the real good guys they posed like good guys to get money cars women and political control. And on the other hand the bad guys were so intimidated of me and so jelous of my power so half of them were scared and the others were/was real enemy against me. So i felt that i have no position in this world, since the Good is a betrayl and the bad is actually BAD. So i got fucked up and lost the appetite to even compete in this world.I lost my drive and my energies.Because nothing could ever work.Day by day i decided that i will learn to forge my own "good" and my own "bad' but use "bad" as justice if somebody hearts the REAL GOOD.Just like Batman. But i was feeling all these years misearble...because Batman does what Batman do but Batman goes out only at night and his girlfriend visits him here and there because he is always busy doing what Batman does...so the Life of a Batman is very rough and lonely............but your thought my friend.......your thought was so pure THAT GOT ME THINKING THAT I AM DIRTY. AND I DONT ACCEPT THAT. I THOUGHT I AM THE PURES MAN ON EARTH. I NEVER TOUCHED NOBODY IF HE DIDNT DISERVED OR ASKED FOR IT OR IF HE HEARTED OTHERS I THOUGHT I ALWAYS WAS THE MOST BLESSED MAN IN ALL EARTH. BUT THAT THOUGHT THAT STATEMENT brought humility in me. there is much more in life, for you to have that thought means that you keep and behave to yourself purer, thats why you smarter than me, BUT I WILL WAKE AGAIN MY SPIRITS AND LIFT THEM SKYHIGH BECAUSE I THOUGH I AM THE ONE BUT SEEMS LIKE AM SHIT.A RANDOM COMMENT FROM SUCH AN OLD MOVIE DEVASTED MY EGO,,,AT LEAST I SAW YOUR COMMENT IS FRESH,SO YOUR CURRENT INTELECT IS AT THE LEVEL I JUST WITNESSED.imagine your comment being older.it would destroy me.but i got no problem with that. I LIVE FOR THE CHALLENGE. I LUST FOR THE CHALLENGE IF NOBODY OR ANYTHING IS CHALLENGING I GO THE MOUNTAINS AND CHALLENGE GOD.
So thank you Sir for breathing life into me, rest assured AMA DO MARVELOUS THINGS USING THAT ENERGY

He was so unbelievable in this movie.
Its so convincing and real that every other Joker except for maybe Joaquin Phoenix in the first Joker will never seem believable to me personally.
He captured the wicked darkness, the manipulation, the greed, the rage and just the pure evil of the Joker so well I truly believe Heath was born to play the Joker.
That was his legacy and his destiny and he did a damn good job

That's something that Ledger's performance shares with Hamill's. They both have those quick little moments when outer layers of artifice fall away, and we get that glimpse of the hate that is the foundation underneath it all. Ledger's is rage, Hamill's tended to go flat and without affectation, all the laughter gone from the personality for a moment leaving only cold cruelty.

But drinking from an empty glass would violate social norms. Because you know we live in a society that rejects everything unusual out of fear!
So YOU have to BECOME the fear to endure this rejection!
And that is exactly what this fictional character is supposed to represent.
And while Christopher and Heath portrayed this message perfectly, you first have to figure it out and look deeper to really understand it.

Not just the scar stories; every monologue he gives is contradictory. "If you're good at something, never do it for free" vs burning his half later because it's about "sending a message". "Do I look like someone with a plan" to Dent when literally every scene he's in involves him executing an incredibly intricate plan--including that very same scene where he detonates enough pre-placed explosives to level a hospital. He's utterly ideologically incoherent AS an ideology, and that's what makes him so compelling
