As someone who worked for a tire company that had a recapping shop, these guys have my full respect, never seen it done by hand like that, we had machines that did a lot of the work..

I applaud the workers for all of the skills and techniques that they have shown us but all I kept thinking about was all of the visible cords of the original casing that I saw and how many trucks from this area are terribly overloaded as they travel the roads

Hope that these guys get a decent salary. Lots of hard work they do. When you don't have the luxury of power machines, this is how it's done. Much respect for them.

If you think I would put that tire on anything I owned, you'd be crazy.
Tractors should be ok, they rarely go over forty even if f they drive on the road.
I did have a retread fall of my being on the MI doing seventy.
Tried to take it back they said I had driven it flat.
I said I couldn't stop dead.
Never brought one for a road-going vehicle since.
Two things, that guy is "bad ass" strong AND that must be the sharpest knife on the planet.

The work life balance is probably more of a work life ratio. And its probably about 99 to 1.
He would prefer more mosque days, but the commute is manageable and the dress code is relaxed.
