Owner was like "OK guys, this week we are supposed to build a tractor trailer. Tools are here and in the warehouse you have some 6 tones of steel." Workers: "Yes."
@@AKAtheA Yes, good point. The whole trailer was made out of literall scrap but may not be that bad thing since, as far as I know, most of metal available (per price) in Pakisatn, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka... comes from ship breakers that cut old ships and sell the metal. Since shipbuilding is quite regulated (it should be, I hope), steel quality should be relatively good (most of ships are built out of EN S355/ DIN St52-3 steel). The real issue is that, since they do not have metal available in standard dimensions (here in Europe steel beams in all forms are available in 6m (approx. 20 feet) or 12m (approx. 40 feet) they make beams for chasis by welding smaller pieces together to get to the desired length. Beam welding is not a bad thing (if done properly) but they definitely have way to many welds on main chasis and each weld zone is potentional crack zone. There are few design flaws / weak spots too. Connection between main chasis and axis is very weak for a trailer of this size, hinges connecting the lower and upper chasis are very weak too, lift mechanism is very crappy, movable parts with steel to steel contact under high load - it will wear in no time since there are also no lubrication/grease nipples.

As long as it runs well on the roads and the company feeds families, well done 👏 but for ISO 9001 we'll see later please. it's a pleasure to see you at work, it's a change from those mega factory shows on the documentary channels.
@@jemandjemand2362it's obviously standard Pakistan has so many companies working professionally in different sectors these are just street service providers across highways & heavy traffic roads to provide cheap work in immediate solution...
@@jemandjemand2362how come you jumped into this conclusion. They know ISO 9000,as well as, KAIZEN. The problem is those who have adopted these standards usually never allow these youtubers into their premises.
Your workers will lose their vision and contract skin cancer if you do not provide them with eye and skin protection. I watched several workers suffer burns to their hands during the video! Get them welding gloves and aprons. I know they are expensiive, but you will have to train new workers when they go blind, are seriously burned, or die from skin cancer. It will cost you more to train new workers and slow your production than the cost of some personal protection equipment. Protecting your workers' health is cheaper than retraining workers to replace the dead or injured ones.
It is not certain, the human is not taken into account in these countries, it is just a consumable that is replaced when it no longer works. It costs less to replace it than to equip it with protective equipment. and as for the training of new workers, seeing the quality of the work done, it's not super quality, but rather very basic, you just have to see the rust provided during construction, unthinkable in our factories or workshops.
@@harentroisthat's a sad reality in so many areas of the world. I watch alot of videos like this. You speak the truth about the lack of concern for human health and safety. It's crazy how many workers are barefoot or wearing sandals.
@@harentrois I agree with all except I wonder if your assesment that it costs less to replace a worker than to provide rudementary PPE is correct. In this setting It seems to me that it would cost more in lost production time to replace and train a worker than to provide him with a proper welding helment, welding gloves and leather apron and mandate long sleeved shirts. I understand work boots, or steel toed shoes and breathing apparatus are not happening. Those welders and helpers are blind men walking. One of them was staring into the arc as he was running the bead. The helpers were actually holding the work piece bare handed as it was being welded. Insane!
@@harentroisyou people have passed a very difficult time to reach present day status. Usually Western people hide their ugly faces. I saw old videos of their factories, people working in coal mines, chimney cleaning boys etc. Pathetic.

This can be safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety on tools and not least safety shoes. RUclips also has videos where people can learn how to tie shoes, then sandals can be replaced.
Fully automated production line! In Pakistan the meaning is, that as soon as one of these poor guys were injured or killed on the job, the next one immediately jumps in.
I think that. 1. They should use better personal protective equipment: gloves, boots, welding helmet, leather apron and mask. 2. They should use stronger solder, type 7018, 9018, 11018. 3. They must make bevels for welding and leave space between the pieces (1/8) so that the pieces stick or adhere correctly. And even more so when it can only be welded on one side. 4. For very serious jobs like these, it is necessary to apply the welding vertically upwards. 5. For jobs as serious as these, it is necessary to apply the welding beads alternately: at one, at six 🕕, at nine 🕘, at three 🕒... At two 🕑, at seven 🕖.... 6. For jobs like these it is necessary to preheat the area where you are going to solder a little (60 degrees Celsius) 7. There is no need to bend the electrodes. 8. Well you can’t argue that trailer has some steel in it 😳must weigh 6 ton empty. On the whole good construction but shame they had to joint the chassis rails, love the fancy trim round the top. I wonder what it costs
I wondered about the scooping around the top. They seemed to have quite a bit of that channel they used for the frame but very little angle. What if the top rail material was cut from a channel making the theoretical leg a little longer(stronger) by cutting it in a scalloped line rather than straight in half. Also if they used a tarpaulin to cover the load the scallops would give somewhere to hook onto with something equating to a Bungee cord or rubber hold down with hooks. Just my musings.

This trailer is overbuilt using an excess of structural metal for the chassis, underbuilt in certain other critical places, and the welding quality is poor. The worst, of course, is the lack of protection for eyes, skin exposed to welding UV radiation, and foot safety against cuts and bruises! 🥵 !

Why they dont pour a piece of floor so tbey can have a perfectly flat spot for welding and setting stuff up making it way faster , instead theyd rather fyck around on dirt and set it up with rocks and dirt . To bad the work they do could be faster and better if they used a little bit of common sense . Probably not a greaseable pin anywhere on this build .

As much as this may seem like a great job to some, it is actually a very poorly done job! They used too heavy materials in the trailer, so that in the end the trailer weighs over 10 tons. Rusty materials were used that were not properly treated before welding, they will probably paint the trailer over that entire rusty surface. The welding technique may look impressive, but it is actually wrong because it is welding from the top down! Welders are likely to suffer from burns and eye irritation because they do not use any protective equipment at all. Lithium grease in wheel bearings? After stronger heating, the whole thing will leak out - graphite grease or similar is used!

Owner was like "OK guys, this week we are supposed to build a tractor trailer. Tools are here and in the warehouse you have some 6 tones of steel."
Workers: "Yes."
*6 tons of steel scrap :D
Туда только электродов тонна ушла
Not only did they build a chassis by welding three different pieces, but welded the trailer axle on it too.

Insane!

Now that everyone has a mobile phone, it might be an idea for people who make these videos to go on RUclips to see what safety is. This can be safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety on tools and not least safety shoes. RUclips also has videos where people can learn how to tie shoes, then sandals can be replaced.

Солнцезащитные очки вместо сварочной маски?

If this cost around 1000 or 12oo usd then its acceptable in village type area with poor pocket. This is pakistan
