June 4th, 2022 Lo-V fan trip "Catch The IRT From Old South Ferry Loop", morning trip
Preserved 1910s-1920s era Lo-V cars operate express along the IRT Broadway-Seventh Avenue Line from Chambers Street and continue express up the White Plains Road Line to Bronx Park East.

Some of my very earliest memories as a young kid were riding Lo-V's like these on the Jerome Avenue line back around 1958. My mom would take me shopping at Hearns Department Store at 149th Street & 3rd Avenue. There I sometimes saw a 3rd Avenue El train with the single big headlight on top. Even compared to these LoV's, those 3rd Avenue trains looked old. Built around 1900.

Wow! Those motors really sound authentic -- I remember the Lo-V fleet well from my childhood, which overlapped their last years. A lot of nostalgia watching this. I especially appreciate the footage of the new (2013) E 180 St. Interlocking. Besides regretting that I wasn't there, I am sorry there is not any RFW footage, as RFW's are now as rare as Lo-V's. Thanks to all concerned!
