I havent enjoyed a day of test cricket like that throughout the entire day in YEARS. *Joshua Dasilva with the emotional maiden test hundred to drag us to 297 and Kyle Mayers running through England with 5-9* , gentlemen TAKE A BOW!!!! Lets enjoy our series win tomorrow, very proud of all the players this series. Even Brooks for stepping up and being a make-shift wicketkeeper when Josh was injured :D
You sure about that? I seem to remember another all rounder of ours, who's actually playing in this test, who along with our keeper, had a field day against the very same opponents.
Wonderful day for the team. Hope they go from strength to strength. Also great to see WI fans out in the stadium supporting the home team.

Jayden Seales is Josh's long time best friend they play for the same club together here in Trinidad .
They are very close friends it was quite cute to be honest, quite rare that these 2 would be batting together let alone batting together on 99. Very special moment

@@andrewwestcott9172 I think Tris 6 just means that it was pleasing that Seales was almost as jubilant as Da Silva himself when Da Silva reached his century. Others here have explained why.
@@exessex3522 that's true but the way it was worded gives the impression that they were not seeing eye to eye.
I've read most of the comments and noticed that no one mentioned the basic bowling strategy that was applied by Mayers. He put the ball in the right spot and let the seam and the pitch do the rest. No necessary pace with no control. Great bowling.

That's the best bowling display I have seen in years from the west indies brings back memories of ambrose and Walsh hope we can keep it up
Also one of the most pathetic batting performances as well though. Fair play to West Indies but England find ways to lose Test matches on a regular basis. If you put the ball there they find ways to get out time and time again.

Bowling consistently on line & length troubles the best of batsmen ,much less the #s 9 & 10, you're supposed to treat EVERY batsman the same ,with urgency. They literally became complacent in the first inning. Hope they don't do that again.
WestIndies has turned in to a solid Test side in the last few years, performing captain, decent wicket keeper with the bat and gloves, very good fast bowling all-rounder in Myers and Holder, young fast bowlers 🔥🔥🔥. The missing piece is the spinner for them to be a great Test nation again, best of luck ❤ from 🇵🇰
Well there is roston chase the sinning allrounder i think he would put the finishing touch to this team.
Chase is an excellent spinner, but he needs to bat with the tailenders
WI have done well against England in the Caribbean for the past few years. Most of the top test playing nations we haven't won a test series against for a long time. Aside from England, New Zealand is the only test nation team WI has won a test series against since 2012. There is potential for this team to get better but WI aren't as SOLID just yet.

Nah I wouldn't say they solid yet. They dismantling a weak England team in decline. But there is hope, i think they have the right group of players that can make WI cricket great again!!

The glory days were Sobers, Richards, Clive Lloyd, Holding, Gordon grenich, M.Marshal etc.They were real superstars..I think Brian Lara, along.With Courtney Walsh, Curtley Ambrose,Richie Richardson was the last of the legends.I miss them days.

I always thought Mayers should have been in the team instead of Perrault. I’m happy for him and DaSilva who batted very well.
Congratulations to the Windies Board, Selectors, Coaches and Advisers for puttng such a talented group of Caribbean players together. Their success in this third test against England could be the start of a new era for this team of professionals, plus the others in reserve. Stability is written all over this current group of players, and that's my main reason to write.

Hands down one of the greatest and important test innings by any player.
I'm an Indian, but i don't know why my 2nd favorite team is always West Indies. I started watching cricket in Hero cup final. In 96 World Cup India lost the semi final i cried a lot same way when WI lost the semifinal against Australia i also cried that was one of my bad day of life. Go ahead and Best of luck WI Cricket you are really beautiful to watch.

Brooks should be given as much opportunity as others have been. He didn't have a good series, but you're talking about someone who has a test hundred and 3 50+ scores after 10 tests. Guys have gotten a longer run in WI cricket and produced less!

Mayers did a “Scotty Boland”against the poms. Must have given England a sobering reminder of how they were thrashed by Australia in the ashes series. The look on Joe Root’s face is priceless.

Well done Da Silva and Mayers, great to see locals in the ground as well! This will be a deserved series victory for the Windies, they've fought harder and dug in when needed. They're close to having a solid Test side, just need another opener (Solozano?) and IMO a better no.5/6 than Blackwood.
Unbelievable to see England play like this after being such a proud test nation. Current squad of players aren't able to match the team they in 2011 when England beat India in India. Crawley, sibley, burns has been failed to fill the shoe of Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss. England support staff need to take brave decison in terms of selecting their batsman and bring in new lads better suited for test cricket. Last 2 years for England in test matches has been a total disaster.
Taking nothing from the West Indies, they just played like a champion. Joshua D'silva is a underrated player and his test journey has just started. Kyle Mayers has a golden arm, picks up huge wicket at crucial times . This is the best spell I have seen after Scott Boland in the Ashes.
So happy to see teams West Indies, South Africa bringing their best players to the test format after a long time.
Being a test cricket lover, this kind of performance is such a delight.
