Have not made a comment in a long time Warren, just wanted to say how much I appreciate every thing you do for your family an all of us long time viewers give them all hell
Warren , I've been watching your videos for about 3 or 4 years, I'm a owner/operator , I'm 60, my dad was a diesel mechanic over 50 years, you do a tremendous job ! I enjoy all your videos. 👍
Good morning Warren. Got to Albany, NY a little after 1am and saw a Vidya alert on my phone. So happy so see I had something to watch after work this morning. Thank you Quick Tip, nylon straps on packages. Find the seam, flip it over and pull on the extra tab. Then you should be able to break it with your fingers, or cut it MUCH easier. Hope that helps Anyone that reads this.
I have a new appreciation for your patience Warren, how you maintain an even keel throughout all those glitches is beyond me. Thanks for an interesting start to my day.
Hey Warren, you are the professional we wish all mechanics were. Great job working on that old Cat! Thanks much for the video. Can’t wait for the next.
Hi Warren, it was explained to me, when you have two materials interfacing, the softer one will wear out the harder one. Something to do with the softer one getting impregnated with stray material and like sandpaper wearing out the harder one. I’ve seen corrugated split tubing wear through aluminium fuel tanks. Love your work too. Michael.
"Wear can also occur on the harder material but the conditions for this have not yet been elucidated." Well i didn't get much help doing a quick search on the subject. It doesn't seem to make sense that the harder material would wear first. I guess the aluminum housing is somewhat porous so maybe your post has some validity. Thanks.
Love working on the old iron but I can't get our company to keep any of it. All they want is the new fancy crap that cost way to much to repair. Doesn't make any sense to me
Great video Warren really enjoy watching you work on this injection pump and just roll with the problems as they come. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Warren.
You are truely a great mechanic. It’s nice to see the working parts on all this equipment. Keep up the great work and don’t let u tube get to you . As for this world you’re right it’s not going to last long if things don’t change . Thank again
Nice job to this point, too bad you didn’t get the right gasket so you could have at least got the pump back together. Seems like it’s always the little things that hold a job up, referring to the stripped threads, thank goodness you spotted the bolt being loose. Thanks for the update Warren, always a pleasure watching.
When I have a stripped hole, I put a stud in it if I'm able to give it the best chance possible especially in the harsh conditions that machine works under. Nice job Warren!
Hello Warren. We have just replaced a pump on a D4D. It had been imported from the USA. It had been reconditioned. I think we have been lucky because we couldn't fined one here. The engine runs perfectly now.
Well warren you shure do pick um just befor you go home can you take a ladder to that lose soffet and stop it squeeling in the wind 😝😖keep up the good work ✌
@@Mike__james I wonder if there are any figures on what these battery-operated tools actually cost a tradesman who is using them constantly? I worked in a large shop for a large company where they went to electric drills, cut-off tools, etc. BUT everything being provided to us, when a battery gave out, we just went and asked for another one. Still had a lot of air tools though in the tool cabinets and the grinders got the most work.
This picture here shows exploded parts. My 1998 Subaru Outback had an aluminium block and it melted in Western North Carolina during the summer a few years later.
I always say this to the parts person...Do not give me the right part the first time because I'm going to tell you a joke but not the punch line because I know I'm going to be back later for the right part then you get to hear the punch line!
Iv always wondered about cars and I imagine equipment is way worse. How much it would cost to build a car or piece of equipment out of the parts department.
Yeah this time and age I’d rather have old stuff takes money to maintain them but in long run well out last new junk that will suck your wallet dry on payments 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Hello Boss wondering if you can help me with a JCB i got a problem with id appreciated very much im pulling my hair out already, it’s a 509.42 telehandler
This is one reason why I love the old equipment, would rather work on them than today's junk.
Yes, way more fun than dealing with emissions and over engineered electronic junk.
@@westerntruckandtractorrepa1353 I have a 230 D Timberjack , everything is easy to wrench on and nothing I can't handle ! Love the ol' jacks
Those 518 belly pans can really be warped

Brings back memories of my days working on trash compactors, never knew what you’d find lurking in the belly pan😆
No virginity for a skidders life. That things had to work hard from day one !!!

Guys really can screw up installing pumps and you've been slammin them in, making it look easy. Fuckin impressive!
When I have a stripped hole, I put a stud in it if I'm able to give it the best chance possible especially in the harsh conditions that machine works under. Nice job Warren!
Another Great Video, Warren. Looks like a simple old machine. Probably be running for the next 40 years with a little maintenance.

Oh, and an unleashed Warren is the business.
Well, those tires are good for another 10 thousand hours.
Looks like Warren gave up on the cordless tools.
He said he was sick of dealing with the battery's

Are you sure that wave ring is in the right place?
What good does it do to run anybody down. I have my issues.
Bom dia amigo

Should be called "John Dear"
Always my luck. Wrong parts or gasket. Lol
Not gonna last much longer?? Due tell. 😮
Warren I sure would like to spend 10 or 15 minutes on your knife blade, a sharp knife is a safe knife.
Yeah this time and age I’d rather have old stuff takes money to maintain them but in long run well out last new junk that will suck your wallet dry on payments 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Needs new tires by all means - but they are not cheap either
Hello Boss wondering if you can help me with a JCB i got a problem with id appreciated very much im pulling my hair out already, it’s a 509.42 telehandler
Poor thing, looks like the trees have been draggin that skidder around the last 40 years.
Who is working in your shop? Sounds like they’re doing a lot of it.
Nobody remember his comment about the wind? Look over his shoulder and see the hanging gutter scraping on the metal wall
@bobbeals1509 The sounds weren't coming out of the shop. Is that a smart-ass comment, because it sure sounds like it?
