Yes, knowing God is far more rewarding. I believe that needs more clarification for many people. How, how long, what exactly. The Bible tends to be vague which leads to alot of interpretation of what is right and acceptable. For many people, they are just words, what does it mean to follow and know God?? The church needs to get specific give examples of what and how it is done in our lives: on "Knowing God", making Him Lord of Our life" Do we strive to get our degrees or is it rubbish to want a better life for ourselves? Is it ok to feel perturbed and respond curtly to our husbands or family, be angry and show it, not answering your mother in law's phone calls.. We have room for improvement in many aspects of our lives and it starts with spending private time talking and listening to the Holy Spirit's message for us that leads us to make decisions for our everyday choices and future and then doing our best not for our sake but for the sake of others..even when we don't feel like it? I'm getting it slowly, after years of going to Catholic school where students are bullied by each other and even by the teachers ...some of them nuns.
I'm learning. I'm finally getting the message. Thank you

I would like to reply to your question regarding your spiritual life. Be open, simple, and like a child. In the depths of your spirit be like a drop of water lost in an ocean, and be no longer conscious of yourself (i/me monkey). In this enlarged condition see and enjoy everything from within our Father. Within yourself (i/me monkey) there is only darkness, but in our Father there is only light. Let your Fatherbe everything to you. I have walked in this path for more than 30 years, although in the later years I believe I have experienced His (unadulterated)truths in much deeper ways.

@@BranchTogether i really like that you guys reply, i really like when Darren tell his personal stories, it is really cool. When Paul decided to go to Jerusalem, he wrote a letter to some people to meet up with him in a different city, my question is was it the Phillipians he sent the letter to and was this the letter because Luke recorded that the group of people and Paul had a hard time separating.

Not sure what you are referring to. Can you give us a reference for where you read about this in Luke?

The second person pronoun is used extensively in Scripture especially by Paul writing to specific congregations and by Jesus in his parables. Is it not important to examine the context and know who they are referring to?
Let's see how misguided Protestants twist scripture to promote false theology like eternal security (aka OSAS)
    Phil chap 1
BIBLE to all God's holy people at Philippi .: (vs 3).. I thank my God everytime I think of YOU... Being confident that he who began a good work in YOU will carry it through to completion" (vs 6)
PROTESTANT's version:- "being confident that he who began a good work in ANYONE, so NO ONE will possibly be disqualified or lose salvation...." Thus "proving" OSAS!??
COMMENT: so you conveniently ignore 75 warnings of how a righteous person can lose their salvation…? The context of any of Paul's letters and his recipients, as well as Paul's deep feelings he had for them (vs 7), while assuming that the "YOU" he refers to, is any and all born again current Christians, is about as fallacious and misguided as one could be. One only has to cross reference Paul with what Jesus says e.g. about those made "clean" ergo "Born again" who become attached to the TRUE Vine in John 15, to see that OSAS is a dangerously false doctrine. YOU have to freely remain in him producing good fruit, for him to remain in YOU. Otherwise "YOU will be cut off and thrown in the fire." When Jesus speaks in parables using the 2nd person plural, he is clearly speaking about the present faithful and to come, unlike those in Paul's letters, not just his immediate congregation and faithful followers. Get it? So what about Eph 2: 8-9 ?
