"We do too much complaining and not enough rejoicing, we're sitting in an air-conditioned room with cushioned seats and we're still complaining more than the previous generations of Christians" - what truth!
What a joy it is to be able to worship our King in any and every circumstance.

What a revelation about what prayer really means…it’s an exchange of anxiousness for peace…I would say most of us are just talking. What a great teaching.

There's no way this man didn't know something about 2020 when he made this video LOL. This is definitely right on-time for me and EXTREMELY relevant to whats happening RIGHT NOW. Government checks, iphones, news causing anxiety, I mean you can't get more relevant than that! Prayer to get peace, keeping my mind on positive things and being content were a huge takeaways for me

Eleven prescriptions (plus a couple of bonuses):
    1. See what heaven (God) is doing in you.
    2. Have a transparent heart.
    3. Focus on cherishing each other, being of one mind, standing together.
    4. Learn to praise.
    5. Appreciate and recognize your team.
    6. Rejoice, don't complain.
    7. Be vigilant; don't let people sneak in and turn your relationship with Jesus into a religion.
    8. Be prepared for the fellowship of Christ's sufferings; keep your eyes on the prize of knowing Him.
    9. Live in harmony; do not let preferences reign, but resolve your differences.
    10. Pray.
    11. Deliberation: dwell on worthwhile things, discipline your thought life, model yourself after godly leaders.
    12. Learn to be content. (Yes, he advertised eleven.)
    13. Encourage each other.

I always appreciate new perspectives on Philippians ❤. One thing I heard from the spirit was Philippians 1:21 at 3:46am. I looked it up not knowing if it is a actual verse and it is 🎉❤🎉…

Hello. I'll give this a try. Please, if anyone disagrees I welcome comments.
      1. 1:12-18 God is working through people, some people are more adept than others.
      2. 1:19-26 Paul is split. Keep on living to aid the church or die and be with Christ.
      3. 1:27-30 Keep the church community focused. Be one, even in if suffering.
      4. 2:1-18 Model yourself on Christ. "what would He do?"
      5. 2:19-30 Teamwork makes the dream work.
      6. 3:1 Gaurd your mind from bad news, rejoice and trust in Christ.
      7. 3:2-11 Be vigilant of people who want to shake the faith. Faith over religious pomp.
      8. 3:12-21 Goal orientated. Be driven to learn.
      9. 4:1-3 Division in the church will still occur, we all have our own personalities. Search for resolutions to major divisions.
      10. 4:4-7 Pray and be thankful.
      11. 4:8-9 Deliberation. Examine your thoughts as they control your actions.

    Philippians
General background Paul's letter while stuck in jail/house arrest under Nero when he's a mover / go getter.
God uses his imprisonment for the letters to churches & the defense of the gospel - saved by grace not by works - example: you should get baptized but baptism doesn't earn salvation. Existing churches were also under external government persecution & immature divisions within + preachers with bad intent like $gain sharing the gospel
Main message to the Philippians : bad roots = bad fruit
The intro of the book begins with prayer through to verse 11.
Then continues to 11 prescriptions / commands for the spiritual growth of the church.
Prayer is about exchanging of burdens to get peace from Jesus aka God.
The public prayer is positive ( I thank God with joy), projecting (God will finish this) personal, & pointed (I pray that your love will abound in knowledge discernment so that you may approve the things that are excellent).
Real love has real discernment and then you will have proper priorities (vs 1:9-11)

Pointed: Jesus wants to change my sinner behavior into a blameless life.
Jesus wants to change my behavior.
He wants me to grow up.
God/Holy Spirit made Paul one of the answers to the prayer during Paul's prayer writing.

Verse 12 Vision: this is all being used for the proclamation of Christ. - have a heavenly perspective even with the wicked having their own intentions.
