    I know this is about a six year old teaching but I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate listening to your teachings. I get a smile on my face at some of the things you say… Like more people are worried about the White House than they are their house so true these days.

    I just read 1st and 2nd Kings in 2021. I came across this video to understand what it all means. I can’t thank you enough for making this summary. I love your line about ‘don’t be concerned about the White House worry about your house’. Your exactly right on that & I believe that is what God is trying to get me to understand. Thank you

    This is an answered prayer! Studying KINGS for past couple of weeks & I kept asking why Lord are these children of your highly used by You prophets have gone so wayward?i He had impressed my heart deeply of the lack of communication of biblical values with my grandchildren but I had not pieced it together it now! Thank you for letting God’s Word so speak to you so profoundly and sharing with us! God bless you with much wisdom

    This guy is a phenomenal teacher. Im not sure of his theology (I come from the reformed camp) but he has a gift of making something somewhat complex and very thorough (the books of Kings) easy to understand. I love the graph on the board behind him too. I wish this guy was teaching at a seminary.

    This is the 2nd Study, I have enjoyed by Dr. Ronald Smith and the Great Commission Bible Institute and I am impressed. I have been a student of the Bible since I was Born Again in 1970. He quickly covers this information with organized manner. To do a good Job, I go verse by verse, but I can say that I now see information that he brings out, that I did not previously identify. I am impressed, thank God, that you have diligently set forth to make these studies available. Definitely worth investing your time, in these studies.

    Amazing as always! I definitely struggle reading through some books of the OT like 1 & 2 Kings, but look so forward to listening to the One Hour One Book breakdown; even when I don't struggle, I always feel so enriched after watching. Thank you God for Dr. Randall Smith, and thank you Dr. Randall Smith!!

    Thank you, Dr. Smith. I have studied the Holy Bible by your One Hour One Book program. I can't thank you enough. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
    There is one interpretation on Grace in this video that it doesn't seem right according to Romans 7:21. Grace doesn't make me want to do whatever vicious desires. Indeed, it's by Grace, that I put on a bridle to practice forgive / walk in love. If not by His Grace that He loves me this much, I but to do what pleases Him.
    I hope you are open minded and you don't think I'm bad for my comments above. You know so much more than me. And I so appreciate your teachings.
    Thank you, Dr. Smith.

    On the subject of David being a failed father...
    I think David was hoping his heir would be Absalom but when his son betrayed him, as Judas betrayed Jesus, and was killed, then Adonijah was murdered, I think David, because of brokenhearted discouragement, withdrew from being a present father in his son's lives.

      He wasn’t present even before that. Otherwise he would have done something about his son Amnon raping his daughter Tamar. Instead Absalom killed Amnon and launched a rebellion.

    It was Benjamin that was given to Judah , not Simeon as you stated. Also, Solomon did not learn to take heathen wives from his father. I would be very careful in blaming David for the sins of Solomon.

      Good observation, and I agree. What he did learn from David was how to be a poor dad to his son.

    Since YOU teach Calvinism , why don't you tell these 40,000 lost subscribers that watch your videos that YOU refuse to believe THE ENTIRE BIBLE BUT IN FACT PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT SCRIPTURES YOU DON'T BELIEVE? YOU TEACH FALSE DOCTRINE!

    • @skippy8696
      @skippy8696 2 года назад

      I don't believe he's a Calvinist but I could be wrong. As a person who has spent years following Dr. James White and Jeff Durbin at Apologia Church, I can spot Calvinist doctrine and terminology a mile away. I've watched a lot of these videos and haven't seen much, if anything, alluding to the TULIP philosophy. Even if it was, there's nothing inherently bad about it...unless you think Presbyterians are the spawn of Satan or something 😅
