- Today, we start a new series as we dive into a bible study on book of Philippians! Written by Paul the Apostle, this book has a lot to say on what it means to be a follower of Christ. As we study its four chapters over the next few weeks, the team will share what they got out of reading Philippians 1.

Yes I'm an 18 year old non denominational christian and I struggle finding the right community of teenagers who are also working on bettering their relationship with Christ. I'm so happy to find this channel cuz we're all connected through the spirit.❤️
Why do you need a community of "teenagers" to work together with on bettering your relationship with Christ?
@@endofdays7687 because it is important that the church become one, we are the body of Christ and wherever we are if we pray in agreement everything on earth shall be connected in heaven. remember? "Wherever 2 or 3 are gathered in my name I am there in the midst of them." I have a family who is always too busy for GOD so I long for bible studying community of my age group.
@@girlbye4522 This world is coming to an end, the prophetic signs of the coming tribulation as described in the book of Revelation are everywhere, pointing to the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Any group of "Christians" making worldly upbeat "positive" motivational content about how this verse and that verse applies to themselves and their daily struggles and striving is completely blind to the immediacy of the coming horror that is about to befall this corrupt and broken world. @@endofdays7687 It is deeper than it appears. Those who live by the words of Jesus, and have a longing for God are extremely mighty. Being surrounded by such might, outside yourself can move mountains. There is power in unity. A mighty group of Jesus lovers in one room can change holding hands in prayer, can change the courses of life itself.
We need fellowship as believers. The concept of brotherhood in Christ is all over the Bible especially in Acts, Ephesians, Corinthians etc where apostles, disciples and the rest of the church congregation both men and women would meet for their prayer, singing hymns and fellowship. You will see the word "together" a lot. See Acts chapter 2 when the Holy Spirit came upon them as they were together, and soon after started preaching to the masses 😊@@endofdays7687

I once was criticising people who share the gospel shouting and telling people that they will go to hell if they don't give their lives to Jesus Christ. I used to say that why don't these preachers tell people how much God loves them and that HE gave his only son to become the sacrifice for their sins.
I stopped criticising when a young adult woman in Australia gave a testimony saying that a man shouting on a street saying to people that if they don't repent and come to Jesus, they are going to hell, she said that that message woke her up and made her think of eternity and that led her to make a decision for Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and she said that she wasn't even supposed to be in that city that day, she took it as a sign that she was meant to hear that message. She was so excited and couldn't wait to go and share the Good news. Thanks guys for the bible study.

To be honest I now go to church every sunday and make it a norm,so I've tackled that problem in me but now I face a new problem.
I now want to master making it a norm reading my bible

And drawing closer to and hearing the voice of god
Edit: I also have a short attention span,this also creates a big problem not only for my relationship with God but my daily life and achievements

I just found this channel tonight!! I watch bible study videos almost all day every day, and I follow a lot of the note taking type. This is such a game changer for me to hear not just biblical commentary but application and sharing in community. Im from the US, I truly thank the Lord that we have resources available that we have such vast reach to spread the gospel.

@@1961UK I prefer to approach from a point of love instead of condemnation because I feel that's how Jesus would want us to share it. So instead of saying you're a sinner and you're going to hell, I tell them that there is a love greater than any love you have, a love that saw you before you were conceived and gladly gave his life up so that you could have yours etc etc. People have a harder time being defensive or stubborn when you approach them like that.

I love every part of this! It's like having a conversation with you believers who see Paul and his situation and how he handles it. Striving after a place of unity and standing firm in your faith during hard times. Knowing that God will bring fruit out of it and that there is even more planned for you than you think! God desires for relationship with us and it involves dying to ourselves, to our negative mindsets and patterns, and submitting to Him, in the good and the bad. God provides for us. He provides trials, provision, confidence, grace, love, joy, forgiveness, and so much more. It truly is a question of: How are we living? Are we living our lives under God's authority and His will, or are we doing things out of selfish ambition. This chapter shows us to go to God in every season, WITH THANKSGIVING and a heart to know God, sit with Him, and find His love.
Love that guys are coming to faith because they see it being lived out!❤️

Hey I was so encouraged by just watching the first view minutes of the video,I just wanted to ask for tips on reading the bible,I find myself struggling to read the word in context coz I don't know like which chapter maybe the verse corresponds too or the pretext of the text.

For quite a while I have struggled to pick up my bible and study the bible. I believe this is down to many reasons including feeling of conflictions because of my past etc. I listen to a lot of podcasts but to be honest the majority of them are secular. I can say this is the first podcast in a while about faith and Christianity that has captivated my spirit and attention. This is powerful. God bless you and keep thriving by the strength of our Lord God almighty
