What verse from this chapter stood out to you most?
"For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him," Philippians 1:29. I just finished reading the book of Ruth for the first time and it conveyed the same message to me. That God works miracles when we endure suffering in His name, for His glory. Thank you so much for making this video! I am excited to follow the series. I hope that you continue these Bible studies with other books of the Bible.

Verse 12- But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel.
Thank you for helping me learn a good way to study my Bible. I’ve never had anyone help me truly study the Bible even though I grew up in the church. No one ever really teaches you they just expect you to kind of learn on your own.

Hey, girl! So I stopped going to church (well actually completely lost that relationship with God) almost 3 years ago. & although my heart desires to get it back, i struggle to go again & get closer to God. Verse 18 stood out to me too because sometimes I can be very judgmental of how others are spreading the gospel. Paul reminds me here to count it all joy and focus on the message instead of the messenger.
I love these Bible study videos! What really stuck out to me was when you talked about how prison could have seemed like an interruption to Paul’s ministry, but he used that to continue to further the gospel. I pray that I have that same focus when trials come my way.
2:30 So true! That's why we can refer to Scripture as the Living Word... we're always growing with it! And, the Lord is always revealing Himself to us through Scripture at all stages in our lives!

I'm glad that you are walking us through this! As someone who is getting back into the Word..yes, I feel like the prodigal daughters, it really helps to feel like there is a place to start and a way to follow along! I wish I had the same heart as Paul..and I tried not to cry..but I can't help it!

So my counselor and many people at church have always told me to journal and I find it very overwhelming one because I have cerebral palsy so I don’t have like the super adventurous life to journal about. Lol but I like writing so when you said just to write a couple of verses down that stuck out to you because it helps you slow things down when you’re writing it out and things might speak to your heart. I found out to be very awesome and I think I’m gonna start doing that in my time of study. Thank you.
Paul was in a Roman prison when he wrote Philippians. This epistle along with Ephesians and Colossians were all written during his Roman imprisonment.

As much as I enjoyed this video I have a question for you. How many times do you say the word I in this short video? I heard you refer to yourself, a lot, and the focus of any scripture should be Jesus. I say this as an encouragement, I would’ve much rather this had been private, not public. But I would encourage you to stop referring to yourself so many times and start focusing on your Lord Jesus. Many blessings to you keep going.
