Tour of HUGE Detroit Diesels - MTU 2000HP Engines in 112’ Westport

Because the Landing Craft tour was such a hit, I thought exploring these large Detroit Diesel MTU engines would be badass. I love this boat and it makes some serious power.

Awesome tour of the engine room! We have a 108ft ex Navy boat heading to Norfolk to be a cruiser for tours and events. It`s got 2, 12v71 engines (437hp@2100 rpm). Not as powerful as what you have here, but very dependable. I have been following your landing craft videos, the ex military boats are a lot of fun. Would love to give you a tour some time if you`re down in Norfolk.

That 33GPH per side at 13.5 kts has to be a mistake. I run a 110 Lazzara with the same 16V2000 and we burn 25gph COMBINED at 12kts! That 33GPH has to be combined.
