As I was using my SE 979FSG flexshaft the entire chuck piece came out of the hand piece. Any thoughts? It never seemed to run hot. I've had the flax shaft for years but it probably only had 100 hours of use on it max. Then entire chuck just loosened up and slide out while I was doing some finishing work on a piece. After I watched this video that is that part you said never to mess with because it has been tru-ed to a certain point. Any thoughts on fixing it or is it probably just time for a new tool?
so if they are press fit on.....you cant dissasemble the handpiece at all, even after removal of the internal retention screw? My handpiece is making funny noises.....but is probably pre 05.
Hi, I'm from Colombia, I don't speak much English, but I have a handpiece and I was drilling and the chuck was quiet all over the top where the bits are put and I don't know how to put it for help, I'm new with one of these motors thanks

Yep, it does look like they're likely a 608ZZ "skateboard wheel bearing" I design all small projects with 608 size bearings where I can. They are a very common size, very easily sourced locally for repairs, and an affordable way to "over engineer" any small project
The problem could be in the speed control. It could be either the trigger switch or the circuit board in the speed control. We sell those parts and you can replace the parts yourself. www.foredom.net
