I've watched three videos now about this process to make sure I was understanding correctly. This was BY FAR the most entertaining and easiest to understand. I'm all set now. Happy shaft rubbing! :)
😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The script is literally the same one used on the manufacturer’s site. Thanks for watching! 😀
AHHHHH! That was FANTASTIC!!! I'm just now getting back to jewelry making after a long stretch with taking care of my father who was 91 and passed away: he didn't pass through this realm unloved...he was well taken care of and loved enormously...so, this video has refreshed my memory on lubing my 'stuff' and getting ready to go!! THANKS
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching! Best of luck with your creative pursuits. 😀
Professor, I'm a romance writer and I know from double entendre. You, sir, have achieved Wizard level in this slippery subject.
Hi Nicola, Thank you for the high compliment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
I can't even put into words how hilarious this video is. I don't even make jewelry but you have earned my subscription.
Thank you! The crazy thing is that all I am doing is adding emphasis to the script that is used on the manufacturers website for a similar video. Thanks for watching!😀
And my kids think I like my flex shaft to “buff and polish.” 😂 thanks for the humor. 👍🏼
LOL. Glad you enjoyed the video Barbara.
Thanks for your support! : )
Hahahahaha!! I loved not only the information, but all of the delivery! You are hysterical!
Hi Grace, Glad you enjoyed the video and my playful delivery. Sometimes jewelry tool maintenance is just boring. So we thought we'd spice it up a bit.
Thanks for your support! : )
OnlineJewelryAcademy so spicy John, I had to sit in front of my torch just to cool down! Lol!
Totally awesome. Going to do this right now. Thanks
Good for you Diane. It's a dirty job that is often ignored. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Ha ha ha. Thanks for doing this video so fun to watch. I am going to watch it again soon
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Thanks for the video. I'm kinda new at making jewelry and have not yet performed this. I had no idea it was that simple.
Glad you gained the confidence to lube your flex shaft from the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Thanks for the tip, being new to all this, I need all the help I can get. As far as anything being suggestive....well, I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole! Lol
LOL! Hi Anna, It's good to have a laugh at the weird names for the tools and processes in our industry that sound a little sketchy. Glad you enjoyed the tip.
Thanks for your support! : )
Thanks so much for your videos.
Hi Robyn, You're very welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.
Thanks for your support! : )
The eyebrow action is the best lol 😂 thank u so much for all your awesome videos!
Brilliant. I just bought a mint condition series K and, as your's looked like one, watched the video. Now I feel like there should be a special KY grease for this model. 😉
LOL! Best comment EVER. Believe it or not, all I was doing was reciting the official company video language. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!😀
Wow. Brilliant interpretation.
Excellent! Thank you
Hi Joanna, Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Seriously funny and informative! Great Job! My teaching manager has not taught me this yet...
Glad you enjoyed the video. It always cracks me up how "dirty" things associated with jewelry making can sound. This video is based on the one that's on the manufacturer's website. We just spiced up the delivery a bit.
Thanks for your support! : )
Thank you for your tips.
Hey Zack, Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
how do I know when it needs lubricating. Thanks for the videos btw. love them and watching you.
Hi Kevin, The manufacturer will tell you to lubricate your flexshaft after so many hours of use. But who keeps track? Right? So, I recommend that you do this at least once a year. Glad you're enjoying the videos. We sure have fun making them.
Thanks for your support! : )
✅😘✅
Gosh, I just love you Jon! I'm going to sign up for your courses soon!!
Hi Tina, I'm glad that you're interested in the OJA's paid courses.
Thanks for your support! : )
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy I am!! Just wrapping up my semester, and have the summer mostly off. I have been making and selling silver jewelry for about a year now, but am still very much a newbie, and i value your free videos, and would love to support you guys, and also take my skill to the next level! Thanks Again Jon!!
I ran the motor for 10 mins and the grease is all black now... Is this normal? Or should i clean and reapply the grease?
It’s normal for the grease to darken somewhat. The important thing is that you did the maintenance. Try to schedule yourself to do this on a regular basis. 😀
YAY! Thank you!
Oh. I see now. I can't stop laughing.
Glad you enjoyed the video Kim.
Thanks for your support! : )
"Spits and spurts ...last... 6 inches...flex shaft tool...etc." I love the "expose your shaft", so funny! You are soooo Naughty and safely, chastely fun!! Love it, Professor! (are you in uniform? Apron.... safety glasses?) You have been exposed to be an excellent teacher! Great video, lots of saucy and most of all informational, SAFE, and FUN information!!! Groundbreaking in jewelry technique training. I love the halo at the end. Well done.
I'm so glad that you liked this video. Can you imagine how boring it would have been if we didn't "spice" it up a bit? The funny thing is that the language used in the video is taken from the Foredom instructional video on how to do this process. That video isn't funny at all.
Thanks for your support! : )
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy You are a jewel to our industry!
When you say run it on full power for 15 minutes...wow! Do I have to stand there with my foot on the pedal or can I put a weight on it or??? I'm not sure I have ever run it as fast as it can go even!
You can disconnect the foot pedal and plug your motor directly into a power source. Just be sure to set a timer to remind you to unplug the unit when the time's up. : )
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy Thank you! Much easier solution. I really like your clear instructions!
Insert firmly.
Hope you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Does this work for gunsmithing
I don’t know anything about gunsmithing. Sorry.
It must be something to do with the weather I re-greased both my Foredoms 3hrs ago
Good for you! That is one of the most often put off tasks in most jewelry studios.
Thanks for your support! : )
You should link to the LUBRICANT / GREASE you used for the Flexshaft! - Important drtail!

@@OnlineJewelryAcademy What if one cannot get Foredom brand lubricant? I live in Guatemala. What is a good substitute? I have lithium grease, silicone grease, Teflon lubricant, silicone based o-ring lube, and something called high temperature anti-seize lubricant.
You are awesome!
Thanks for the compliment.
Thanks for your support! : )
Remember: There's always time for lubrication! *lol*
Glad you enjoyed the video.

Oh my, while I don't smoke, I do believe I could use a cigarette and a glass of wine after watching this!!! 😉
That good huh!? Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hi, I have an old dril kaat dri-naat and it doesnt come apart like this, anyone knows how to?
Check the company’s website. 😀
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy thanks! There's no info online since it's too old, but I figured it out, if anyone has the same they can ask me here.
It’s about time I lube up my shaft! 😂
Finally, someone with a sense of humor. 😀
You're just like my old boss, miss the guy. I will watch all your videos now hahaha
OMG! If this video reminds you of someone, that person must be crazy. Believe it or not, the script for this video was lifted directly from the manufacturer’s own video. 🤣
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy haha!
Ooh Matron!
LOL! I hope the video made you giggle a little.
Thanks for your support! : )
Thank you, but i think i need a shower now.
LOL! As I often say, I don't know why but jewelry making sometimes just sounds dirty. I think it's good to have a good laugh about it. I hope you cracked up a little.
Thanks for your support! : )
oh my god so vivid for instructions. LMAO
If you visit the manufacturer’s website, you’ll find that they use the exact same script. Hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching! 😀
No Comment...
Only that this video was HOT...
LOL. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Well that was super creepy
LOL. We have at least a couple more videos in out playlist that will creep you out. You'll find them in our playlist at: www.onlinejewelryacademy.com
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy Afterall, we have Halloween in the air...!
Oh, MYYY! 🤭
If you check out the manufacture's website, you'll see that I used their script. Hope you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching!😀
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy As they say in France: "C'est le ton qui fait la musique." 😉 You presented said script in a very entertaining fashion, and I had fun watching the video. Thanks for the good advice!
😂😂😂this was great👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! 😀
Just found this ! LMAO !!! Good info !!!
The best part is that if you go to the manufacturer’s website you’ll find some boring guy reading the same script. 😂 Thanks for watching! 😀
LMBFAO!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Cassandra, Glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for your support! : )
Sorry to be a dweeb, but what does LMBFAO mean? Thanks.
@@flyingcheff LMBFAO means Laugh My Big Fat Ass Off
I sir, must have a very dirty mid lol
Hey Mike, The first step to overcoming your dirty mind is to acknowledge that you have one. Just don't loose your sense of humor.
Thanks for your support! : )
😂
The funny thing about that video is that I didn’t write the script. It is a verbatim retelling of the script used by the manufacturer in their video. Thanks for watching.😀
Hilarious 😂
The best part is that I’m using the same script from the video on the manufacturer’s website. 😜
Seriously are you a Professor or do you just play one on RUclips? Professor of what? Just curious... BTW: Good video.
Here's a link to my bio: www.onlinejewelryacademy.com/about.html
Hilarious
The funny thing is that I’m just repeating the same words in the video on the manufacturer’s website. 😂
Smarmy, creepy, and hilarious because you think he possibly could be attracted to the same sex. Just an observation folks. Good content. I will have to do this to my rarely maintained flex shaft.😃
LOL! The funny thing about that video is that I am repeating almost verbatim the script used by the presenter who made a similar video for the Foredom company.
Thanks for your support! : )
