I got my Tuscon N Line S Hybrid 230 in Oct last year and I love it. Interior is great and is also comfy to drive. I do like the looks of the new Sportage and interior also looks good. Either one you go for, I think you would be happy

That was my choice too as I insist on a panoramic roof and I think the more sporty look of the N-Line is worth the small extra cost. Despite ordering back in mid-September, It still hasn't arrived and the suggested mid-March delivery is not filling me with confidence. (6 months!).
The big selling point for me was the massive near 13% discount including Hyundai's £2250 contribution plus the 2.9% apr which brought the PCP payment with the maximum deposit of £14,000 from my 2016 Volvo XC60 part-ex gives monthly payments of just £113 pcm. Kia couldn't get anywhere near those figures. The part-ex valuations of my Volvo XC60 from both my local Hyundai and Kia dealers (same group) was £2,000 less; I had to drive 27 miles away to get the online broker discounts.
The Hyundai drives and performs so much better than the XC60 2.4 Auto.

drove both of these cars over the last 2 days, both were the PHEV options, with approx 260BHP, the tuscon was a the premium spec with a cream leather seats setup and the sportage was the GT-line spec, with black interior, the tuscon by far was more comfortable seat wise and felt roomier, possibly an optical illusion due to the lighter coloured seaters.
As a lay out of the cabin i prefered the sportage, but for a couple of things, firstly the curved screen felt a little too far away, when in my optimum driving position, so i had stretch slightly to use the very left hand button, which included the home button. secondly the fan on/off switch was on the left hand side of all the controls rather than the drivers side so again having to lean/strech slightly. to put this into prospective i'm between 5ft 10, and 5ft 11 (about 179cm) and i class my optimum driving position as my wrist balancing on the steering wheel plus i like my seat back quite vertical.
so aesthetically the sportage may be better layout but practically the tuscons for me was better.
On the driving side the differences were obviously minimal, both easy to drive, with that slight delay with the uptake of the gear changes and engines kicking in, but nothing i couldnt get used to, both excellent on the motorway and back roads respectively, both would give you the confidence to overtake if necessary or when joining a motorway to get up to speed etc, also extremely quiet to drive in urban/town enviroment in hybrid modes.
I also extended the range of the vehicles whilst driving quite normally over a 45-50 minute road test, so guessing the previous testers maybe were a little heavier footed than even i am.

I picked the Tucson as well within the past month. Love it! Then again, no KIAs available in my area regardless so it really wasn’t an option unless I wanted to order something without driving it. However, I think the front grill and rear lights of the Tucson are design masterpieces. Not to mention the angular design of the side that have some people bent out of shape. Despite all that, there is still something about the Sportage that makes it competitive in terms of visual appeal.
However, the interior of the Sportage does absolutely nothing for me based on images I see in photos or video. I much prefer the streamline and more minimalist look of the Tucson interior.

As I'm buying one of these cars, I was looking forward to this review, but sadly the review isn't very even as you use the GT-Line S for Kia (Top Spect), but Tucson is the entry level Connect, so it's not really a good comparison, you should have used the Ultimate, with the Tech pack, then you would have a much even comparison.
After driving both, the Tucson wins, the dial for the automatic is far to easy to choose the wrong position, the display is beautiful on the Kia, but the switch between heating and media, gets very distracting when driving as you need to look down to check, but the biggest is the DAB on the Kia constantly cuts out, and after looking on the net and speaking to Kia this because the range topping panoramic roofs interfere with the reception, so have still got to release an upgrade to rectify this issue. It was the slowness of Kia admitting this that made me go with the Tucson, as at £40k you would expect them to make sure a stereo works decently of the assembly line.

I am very much sold on the Kia and Hyundai range. However, having secured a Kia E-Niro on a decent lease deal, there is something very simple yet frustrating about it. The auto hold is not in fact auto hold as it was in both our 5 series and s90 in that you manually have to turn it on each time you start the car.
