I love seeing a young, dark side Anakin wielding a red Lightsaber. It adds to the ferocity, rage, and intensity that he had at that point in his life. That’s how I wanted things to be when I was a kid. However, seeing Anakin fighting Obi-Wan with the legendary blue Skywalker Lightsaber makes their battle all the more tragic. It literally signified a fallen hero.
And also how much more difficult it would actually be to follow his blade in motion if it were actually red, given that it blends in with the environment
@Pc18 That was one thing I think they really could've changed; have Anakin speak less and less as the fight goes on, but every time he does so his voice gets deeper and scratchier due to the ash and heat on the planet. At the same time, his saber slowly turns red, as if it's actually bleeding internally - as a visualization of Anakin's mind and heart twisting with every strike
Star Wars Theory and in my opinion I think this makes more sense and this can work imagine Anakin Drops his lightsaber at the Jedi temple Palpatine gives him his new lightsaber or Anakin takes a lightsaber crystal from a lightsaber bleeds it puts the Crystal in the lightsaber and then it's an in complete lightsaber with a bleeded crystal obi wan takes Anakin lightsaber after watching the recording he sees his lightsaber in the council chamber Vader fights obi wan with the incomplete lightsaber and when obi wan defeats him The lightsaber burns next to him and the crystal is the last thing that remains Palpatine picks Anakin up and takes Anakins Crystal and leaves After this Palpatine says padme dead and says but u still have one thing left this Red crystal Anakin takes it and he goes to the temple as Vader to finish is transformation he finds materials for a hilt and rushes through construction on a lightsaber and finally he makes his bulky hilt that looks similar to his first lightsaber that he lost at the beginning of the war and now he is Darth Vader.
Yep, i never understood why they couldn’t make the level such as one in which you have like 25 hearts as your opponent and while you damage the opponent both of you keep advancing to another stage like in the film
And for this fight, it just works. So damn well. There’s so much more emotion in this; when it’s just the intensity of the fight, the gorgeous cinematography, and the facial acting from Ewan and Hayden, you’ve got some fine visual storytelling.

The ending maybe they should have made obi look more sad or torn about just killing his brother anakin. Or maybe some flashbacks should have been put in of obi wan training anakin when he was a kid.
Stoned Aleks debatable. He killed Younglings and tried to force choke the woman he wanted to rule the Galaxy with literally a minute earlier. For Anakin the dark side isn’t a choice where he’s like “ok now I’m fully bad”, he was manipulated into it. Like it or not, at the beginning he is already a sith. He was deemed a sith by Sidious and called a sith by Obi Wan
Zach Temoro his eyes are still blue, yes he’s leaning toward the dark side but at this point he could still be brought back to the light. The only reason he forced choked padme is because she brought obi wan, who anakin has secretly despised all along. If someone like Ashoka had gone to mustafar he would have been saved. Also I believe in the Eu it’s stated that once you are burned from the fires of mustafar the dark side will consume you.
they seemed to cut a lot of non-fighting moments in the scene, the force push stall-out, their conversation atop the droids and of course their iconic dialogue when Obi-Wan has the high ground. My guess would either be copyright issues or it’s simply just thousands of frames that the creator wouldn’t have to edit making the job much easier by cutting out clips where they aren’t fighting
StarzzDrak that’s fair. i don’t know too much about editing shit like this so i kinda figured it would just be too time consuming for scenes where they aren’t even fighting. but yea that makes sense now that i think abt it
I would would have kept lines "I have failed you Anakin, I have failed you." "This is the end for you my master." "It's over Anakin, I have the high ground!" "You underestimate my power!"
Moxy if you look at behind the scenes the lightsaber battles are always just a white stick with color/light edited on, i assume it’s basically the same here; only they kept obi-wans saber the same. all someone needs to do is select the color of one saber and with a good editing software and it will do all the work for you. I could be wrong here but I edit CGI’s and do video lighting edits myself and it seems like that’s pretty on point
The reason this dual is so long and intense is because we are watching master and apprentice fight here. Everything Anakin knows and tries here Obi Wan taught him and therefore knows how to counter. The move that Anakin does that results in his defeat is a similar move that Obi Wan once made to defeat Maul. But because Obi Wan has executed it to defeat Maul before he knew how to counter it, therefore resulting in Anakin’s defeat.
The Novel of 2005 states that this duel was not of a Good vs Evil, Jedi or Sith this was intimated, this was Personal, this was Darth Vader or rather Anakin against Obi-Wan.
I think Anakin having a red saber would've been better. Maybe have it where Palpatine gives it to him before he goes to the jedi temple as a symbol of his turn. Then he leaves his old one at the apartment with padme and she grabs it after talking to obi wan and tries to give it to him when she gets to Mustafar to convince him to come back towards the light. Thus when she gets choked she drops it and it's left there. On the way back after grabbing Padme who is unconscious, Obi Wan grabs the lightsaber too and departs from the Planet leaving Anakin to burn next to Vader's saber.

And now, all these years later, and its officially been made Canon... at least, in its own way. We've seen a fully powered Vader, without the suit to hold him back, and with a Blade of Crimson within his traditional/iconic Lightsaber hilt
It’s almost like every second he stands across from him kenobi loses apart of himself and realised what he has to do he can not simply defend himself but knows he must end anakins life. Ewan really did perfect playing obi wan I wouldn’t have wished anyone else to do the new kenobi series
Anakin: I don’t like sand. It’s coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere *Gets cut in half by lightsaber and lands on sand* Poor Anakin :(
Yeah... poor Anakin, first he had to contend with sand, SAND! Then he also later got all of his limbs cutoff and 3rd degree burns across the rest of his body.
I feel like the red saber really shows how much stronger Anakin is at this point. As much as it hurts me to admit, Obi Wan looks like he’s having a really difficult time keeping up.
Obi-Wan only survived as long as he did thanks to his mastery of Form-III. The extremely defensive Soresu allowed him to hold out until he found an opening.
I heard that one of the original ideas was to give Anakin a red saber. The way it could've worked is Palpatine gives Anakin his new "Vader" lightsaber and Obi Wan finds his blue saber in the Jedi Temple after the massacre of Operation Nightfall signifying Anakin abandoning his Jedi side after what he did. It would still keep the timeline of Obi Wan giving it to Luke intact.
Imagine if Sidious made him his red lightsaber ahead of time and gave Anikan it right after Windu's death. Then this fight takes place like it does at first with both of them using blue lightsabers.(Anikan decides to pull out the blue one just to throw Obi-Wan off if he needs to later.) However, nearing the end of the fight, Obi-Wan somehow manages to disarm Anikan and steal his lightsaber thinking that will force him to give up. Only for Anikan to pull out his new red one. Followed by John William's score hitting. Followed by, "I have failed you Anikan. I have failed you."
George Lucas said he wanted to make it red but decided against it because it would have been without explanation and it would have confused some of the audience
Seriously one of the best lightsaber battles ever. These two match each other perfectly when it comes to speed. Plus I know they were close friends on set but it really looks like Anakin hates Obi-Wan in these shots, he (Hayden) looks genuinely angry and Obi-Wan (McGregor) looks so disgusted. Many people don't stop to appreciate the acting in this short scene, it outweighs any other scene out of the trilogy. Well done on the acting and choreographers team. Plus the music and special effects crew. Amazing work.

Charlie Phung it is possible. Darth Vader got his red crystal from a Jedi he killed. The crystal was green previously before Vader took it and bled the crystal red.
Before I saw this movie, I remember a friend of mine telling me that there was a scene where Anakin dips his lightsaber beam into the molten lava and when he pulls it out its turned red. Now he was a pathological liar who would always make stuff up so I knew it likely wasn't true, and yet even though it doesn't make a lot of sense that image has never left me.
Unpopular opinion: This fight without the dialogues feel darker and better, especially when Anakin didn't reply "you will try" or the dialogue on the lava river. It feels like Obi Wan acknowledged that Anakin is beyond saving, and Anakin's hatred for the jedi reached to the point where he just wants to kill. The only thing I might add is keeping "You're the chosen one!" because Obi wan sounded so frustrated in the original. It would fit just before he says that Anakin was his brother.
Darker don't mean better. The dialogue makes it feel like obi wan really did care for anakin and anakin expressing his discontent for the jedi order plus the random stares make it awkward. Also you cant tell me that if you had someone you considered your brother doing something wrong you wouldn't be trying to convince him to stop every chance you got.

Elder Rusty actually the “high ground” is more of a psychological thing. Obi Wan was basically taunting and Anakin, so Anakin took the bait, thus ending the fight, which is exactly what Obi Wan wanted
I think im one of few who actually enjoyed the High Ground line because i understand its significance. It references back to Obi wans fight with Maul on Naboo. At the end of their fight Maul had the high ground (advantage) on Obi when he was hanging in the hole so being on Anakins side of that situation before he knew what Anakin would have to do to get over him. Therefore he knew when and where to swing his lightsaber while Anakin was mid jump. Which is why he begged him not to do what he knew he was going to do with the line "Don't try it". The line has so much more person meaning for Obi wan in a fight and i don't think it gets the credit it deserves.
So glad you kept in the "You were my brother, Anakin!" line, probably the one line that gets hated on the least for this fight. I'd argue that Anakin's "I HATE YOU!" line should've been kept since it was delivered well, but it works without that line.
StupidMarioBros1Fan well it's more realistic I don't think it made sense that he said that as his ego was cut of and burned, also Anakin being completely evil, may mean that he was to angry to say anything
I remember as a child I found it cool that Anakin still had the blue saber. But now that I'm older, I feel like it would've been much more symbolic if Anakin surprised us by revealing he had switched to the red lightsaber in the scene. It would've meant he is no longer Anakin Skywalker and that Obi-Wan was truly fighting Darth Vader. But I understand that Obi had to get Anakin's blue lightsaber to give to Luke in episode 4 for continuity sake
The reason they didn't go with red is because it doesn't show up well while they are above the lava it's the same reason Luke has a green lightsaber on tatooine the blue didn't contrast the sand
I like how you edited out all of Anakin's lines, he didn't really need to speak for most of the fight, since Hayden Christensen was already doing a good job with just his facial expressions.
+Adam Stringer I felt like he did a good job on his lines, a lot of people hate them, but I feel like they are more genuine than most. Like he is truly putting in hatred for Obi-Wan in his lines.
***** If you think about it, no-one in the prequels gave a stunning performance, that would mostly be the fault of the director. Even in the original trilogy Harrison Ford said it was the kind of dialog you can write but can't say.
Adam Stringer Every scene where he didn't have to speak was great. I don't mean that as an insult. His body language is spot on. Like a 1:25 where he just strides forward shows how arrogant he is but also screams out the way Vader was slow and relentless
I agree. His physical acting is great. The emotions he can show with his face and body movements is probably his best quality. I wish they had more dialogue in this scene though. More banter and arguing. Somebody trying to convince the other to change their mind. Kenobi’s lines at the end still would have been great during the fight if Anakin could’ve replied to them.
About Anakin in prequels, I think that Hayden did the best he could with Lucas' writing, he is good actor which can be seen in all scenes without talking but dialogues were poor written
Luke: What is it? Ben Kenobi: Your father's lightsaber. This is the weapon of a Jedi Knight. (Luke sparks RED lightsaber) Not as clumsy.... oh wait Luke, sorry wrong one. This one's red.
Exactly. Lightsaber blades are made of plasma and therefore have no weight, yet Disney choreographs their fights as if the characters are using baseball bats.
SomeGuyNamedJohnny- Yeah, I agree. In my opinion, that’s the kind of speed and lethality Palpatine was using while dueling the Jedi in his office. Just a blur of bright red. But they had to slow it down for Ian McDiarmid… it’s still a great scene though!
This is weird because of the lack of dialogue. “You were my brother Anakin, I loved you” comes out of nowhere because it’s the first line of dialogue in this edit.
[Insert clever username here] I feel it’s better that way, the expressions of their emotions gets projected on their bodies and faces, little dialogue would be needed. All anybody really needs to gather is that a very tragic thing has happened to obi-wans padawan/accomplice. With they way obi wan looks at anakin reacts with the audience as a sense of “he has now realized anakin is gone, all that’s left is the sith darth vader.”
Goten Black he did know we was dubbed Vader, after obi watches the security holograms yoda says “gone your apprentice is, replaced(or killed or something) by Vader”

It wouldn't have been a surprise. Everyone would've already seen it in the trailer and on the movie poster, unless George decided to hide it by making the lightsaber blue except in the final cut of the film.
Palpatine gives Anakin his new red lightsaber after the slaughter at the Jedi Temple and he trashes the old one. Obi Wan finds Anakin's blue lightsaber at the temple and further confirms Anakin is the killer of the Jedi. Obi Wan then gives Anakin's lightsaber to Padme for safekeeping when he visited her. Anakin uses red lightsaber to fight Obi Wan on Mustafar (symbolizing he is already truly Darth Vader). Padme then returns the blue lightsaber to ObiWan when Luke is born before she passes away.

you dont give the fuckin murder weapon to the murderer's wife. i dont think Padme would want to keep something that killed countless younglings either.
Personally, I loved Hayden's portrayal of Anakin since I was a child, his torment and conflict and hate were always conveyed so well, and while he had his share of cringy lines (mostly in attack of the clones) I feel that his version of Anakin in episode 3 was so much better. In this video, with his dialogue cut out, I'm seeing that part of why his acting was so great is due to his facial expressions, he's excellent at acting through his eyes which is extremely hard to do. Also loved seeing this version of the fight, I know Anakin had to become Darth Vader and wear the suit, but I always used to wonder what it would have been like if he'd never been injured/deformed and if he remained the strong young man he was in the prequel trilogy. Seeing Anakin with a red lightsaber is fuckin awesome

They trained for months to prepare themselves and have actually some pretty good real life sword fight skills in choreography. There is a video on RUclips where a professional sword fighter reviews this fight pretty interesting. You can’t compare this to the last Jedi he made a video on that one too absolutely horrendous. The prequel actors don’t get enough credit for those stunning fights , sure there are a few unnecessary moves here and there but most of it is top notch fighting it’s beautiful.
@@Greekhalo2010 I'm gonna give 3 reasons why it makes sense that fight, and I hope to change your mind: 1.- This applies more to Rey. Obi-Wan and Anakin attended to an actual school for Jedis, and as all the younglings and padawans they studied for years how to wield a saber and spend many years specializing in any form, Soresu to Obi-Wan and Shien to Anakin. But after The Great Jedi Purge when all Jedi records and Holocrons with the teachings to master any form was completely lost. You can see how Yoda trains Luke to use the Force to develop some sorta of Spider-sense to deduct how the opponent will attack and how to counter it. But all they had was what you and I use to in our backyard shadowing with a stick like a bunch of nerds. 2.- Kylo is severely wounded, Chewe shot with outta anger after he killed Han, and was bleeding, so he definitely doesn't have the high-ground. 3.- I can't believe I'm gonna say this but as in Star Trek say he is "Emotionally compromised" he just killed his father, Snoke said he hasn't face a test like that, so he is not focused, you can see when tries to pull the lightsaber he just can't, and barely keeps up with the fight, but Rey does focus and manage to get the high-ground.
@@osbaldocruz4735 sure yes, rey has youngling level saber skills and kylo was weakened. these are valid, especially in rey's case, of course she can't fight! who would have taught her(well i mean luke but he was busy being truant). the problem is that, given these facts, rey and kylo should not have won then. these are supposed to be elite and well trained fighters and they lost to a youngling and someone who is supposed to be trained but certainly doesn't act like it...oh, you were referring to rey vs kylo. if you ignore their reasons for winning and losing in the story, and just look at the actual choreography...no one(even those who are supposed to be trained like kylo and those guards) moves like anyone who knows what they're doing. the written choreography is lazy and garbage, and the actors will still mess that up, probably because the film makers didn't care about it in the first place. im all for patching up holes here and there in a story's canon, but the disney trilogy is missing half the ship.
@@Greekhalo2010 as dreadful as the throne room scene is on closer inspection, its still pretty cool at face value. and i love the arena they fought in. probably couldn't see it quite the same after shad's analysis though XD (that damn arm lock torwards the end omg)
It isn't that difficult, especially in modern day with all the plug-ins for after effects, with the Saber plug-in by video co-pilot you could edit the entire fight with a whole team of people in a few days if that!
keep in mind the saber was an added effect to begin with. If the studio has the original file then they can easily change the color of the light saber.
Sharky Gaming you do not really think it works this way do you? The vid is 6 mins long, with 30 fps it would have been way over 10.000 frames to edit, he was using tracking software and then changed the color of the tracked object (e.g. blender).
Mustafar Duel Edit: doesn’t say “I have the high ground” Me: IT’S TREASON THEN Edit: before the hate comments roll in, I thought this was a great video. However, it sacrificed the one part it never should have.
I think it would have been more tragic, if Anakin actually loved Obi-wan the entire time instead of hating him, and constantly urged Obi-wan to help him, and tried to convince him that the Sith was a better cause than the Jedi. Then when Obi-wan turned down the offer, Anakin, sadly, places his hand on Obi-wan's shoulder, and hands him his Jedi Lightsaber. He tells him he wants him to keep it, as a symbol of their friendship. And then they would sadly part ways, and Anakin would tell him, "I am sorry. Goodbye, old friend." Neither of them want to be enemies, but are forbidden to be allies because they are now fighting for different causes. Then later, Obi-wan meets Anakin on Mustafar to settle the conflict. Anakin makes one last effort to convince Obi-wan to side with him, and tells him "I do not want to fight you Obi-wan, please, come with me." As he pulls out his hand towards Obi-wan, but Obi-wan simply says "I will do what I must." While pulling out his Lightsaber and assuming an attack position. Then Anakin would nod and turn around, and then the battle begins. This would have made it much harder on both characters. Neither want to fight each other, but they are forced to. Anakin can't betray his new master, and Obi-wan can't betray the Jedi Order. For the majority of the fight they are both holding back, trying best not to kill each other, but instead fighting for the sake of fighting. Then when they get to the platform above the lava, they both realize this needs to end, and give it their all. When Obi-wan jumps to the hill, he doesn't speak, he only turns around to face Anakin. Obi-wan says, "It's over Anakin. Don't try it." Anakin only shakes his head, and in a last attempt jumps up and Obi-wan cuts him. Then when Anakin lays at the bottom of the hill, he is speechless, and instead of yelling I hate you, he stays silent as he burns.
And Obi-Wan, overpowered by Anakin's obvious strength, dual wields both his and Anakin's Jedi lightsabers near the end of the duel, allowing Obi-Wan to win.
Che Guevara silentwolfSW97 I agree that the actual ending is better. What's good about it is that although Anakin has slightly surpassed his former master in fighting ability, he lacks the experience and the tactics of battle and thus, loses to the better player. I too would not have had him yell at Obi Wan "I hate you!!". It just took away some of the strong menace from Vader for me personally.

How dare you cut obi-wans iconic line: “it’s over Anakin I have the high ground”
Probably to avoid copyright claims, idk
they seemed to cut a lot of non-fighting moments in the scene, the force push stall-out, their conversation atop the droids and of course their iconic dialogue when Obi-Wan has the high ground. My guess would either be copyright issues or it’s simply just thousands of frames that the creator wouldn’t have to edit making the job much easier by cutting out clips where they aren’t fighting
@@xxliamxx4772 It's not that hard making idle scenes so more probably is the copyright claim
StarzzDrak that’s fair. i don’t know too much about editing shit like this so i kinda figured it would just be too time consuming for scenes where they aren’t even fighting. but yea that makes sense now that i think abt it

"I have failed you Anakin, I have failed you."

And "my allegiance is to the republic, to democracy"
Yeah. But maybe he didn't want to get copy writed by Disney or even sued
It's because the force theme played in the background.
I agree but leave high ground out too corny I think I liked it without
I like how in this edit anakin not only holds a red lightsaber but is more aggressive, and less talkative
Can we respect that this guy went through this frame by frame to make Anakin’s lightsaber red
I don’t think it’s a frame by frame, just more of a color redirection and change, with shining blue lights like lightsabers it’s not super hard
Just look up ahsoka lightsaber change, or rebels thicc lightsabers, it makes this look puny
Jaron Henderson then wouldn’t it do the same to Obi’s lightsaber? im pretty sure this is a time consuming edit
It can be done with full screen or within reference points, not sure which method was used here.

Wow well said man !
that and obi wan was still on the defensive he hadn't assumed he won like maul already had so he wasn't distracted
Then why do they use different forms?
Yes
I think Anakin having a red saber would've been better. Maybe have it where Palpatine gives it to him before he goes to the jedi temple as a symbol of his turn. Then he leaves his old one at the apartment with padme and she grabs it after talking to obi wan and tries to give it to him when she gets to Mustafar to convince him to come back towards the light. Thus when she gets choked she drops it and it's left there. On the way back after grabbing Padme who is unconscious, Obi Wan grabs the lightsaber too and departs from the Planet leaving Anakin to burn next to Vader's saber.
This is perfect
If flippin only.

Obi-Wan only survived as long as he did thanks to his mastery of Form-III. The extremely defensive Soresu allowed him to hold out until he found an opening.
@@wingedbluj1674that was the form best to fight anakin for sure.
Plot amor save Obiwan.
the fight is sped up
I heard that one of the original ideas was to give Anakin a red saber.
Or leaving it with Padmé before he leaves for Mustafar. Obi wan would then pick it up when he visits her
This should’ve been canon
Imagine if Sidious made him his red lightsaber ahead of time and gave Anikan it right after Windu's death. Then this fight takes place like it does at first with both of them using blue lightsabers.(Anikan decides to pull out the blue one just to throw Obi-Wan off if he needs to later.)
However, nearing the end of the fight, Obi-Wan somehow manages to disarm Anikan and steal his lightsaber thinking that will force him to give up. Only for Anikan to pull out his new red one. Followed by John William's score hitting. Followed by, "I have failed you Anikan. I have failed you."
Picture this
Imagine if this was real, imagine the audiences reaction to him jumping up and igniting his lightsaber, but it’s not blue... it’s RED

Very nice catch! It just shows us even more by how much Anakin has fallen...
Obi-Wan probably taught him that move, so he knew exactly how to counter it
Benito Mussolini that’s why Obi Wan won the duel, Anakin tried the same movie Obi Wan used on Maul, that’s what the high ground line means
I liked your analysis! I've never really thought about it that way.
And since Obi-Wan trained Anakin in lightsaber combat, it makes sense that he would know the perfect moment to strike while Anakin was in mid-air.
It also works for Anakin, he thinks that he is so good that he can beat his master using a move that Obi wan 'created'
It’s a corny line, they’re all corny lines

Jason Ramsbottom I dunno why they thought that; it looks to me like the red shows up just fine here.

Editing out the “you will try” already makes it so much better, that one line irks me so much.

Mitch Radle I wish you were working on the movie instead of Lucas, cause that's a great idea.
Or he could have changed tha crystal.
***** Darth Sideous gives Darth Vader his lightsaber and Vader uses the parts from that to build the one you see in episode four. it explains how he gets his red saber in the book: Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader written by James Luceno
Ha unless he found a blue lightsaber Crystal
Filoni dfinitly watched this
It’s something about the blue on blue that I just love about this fight. The red looks amazing though!
damned good work on the color change
1:04 SO THAT'S WHERE THE CHARACTER CHANGING NOISE CAME FROM IN LEGO GAMES
Yessss!!
:O
Dang i was gonna comment that before i found yours
DUDE YEA!!!!
I’ve barely played a Lego game before so Idk
Could you imagine if in the previews it was blue but then in the movie Anakin has a red lightsaber?! The reaction in the theater would’ve been incredible
Facts ❤
Was hoping you could give Anakin's lightsaber the Sith ignition sound too
Note to remember: this WASN'T speed up in the Post. It was their speed during the shot, their pure passion
@@Greekhalo2010 I'm gonna give 3 reasons why it makes sense that fight, and I hope to change your mind:
1.- This applies more to Rey.
@@osbaldocruz4735 High Ground is the way,I have spoken
Imagine if he changed anakins hilt to vader's and a red blade that would be good
Gamendude horrible tiny work. But this is truly art
This is just simple chroma keying with a few more steps to separate obi wan's saber
Sharky Gaming you do not really think it works this way do you? The vid is 6 mins long, with 30 fps it would have been way over 10.000 frames to edit, he was using tracking software and then changed the color of the tracked object (e.g. blender).
Mustafar Duel Edit: doesn’t say “I have the high ground”
Me: IT’S TREASON THEN
Edit: before the hate comments roll in, I thought this was a great video. However, it sacrificed the one part it never should have.
Alex Pratt no one is gonna reply to this bc it’s fucking stupid.
@@EternalFinity Didn’t you reply to it?
@@Unknownrandomdude lol yeah
who’s here after Ahsoka ep5, Anakin show up with his red lightsaber
I think it would have been more tragic, if Anakin actually loved Obi-wan the entire time instead of hating him, and constantly urged Obi-wan to help him, and tried to convince him that the Sith was a better cause than the Jedi. Then when Obi-wan turned down the offer, Anakin, sadly, places his hand on Obi-wan's shoulder, and hands him his Jedi Lightsaber. He tells him he wants him to keep it, as a symbol of their friendship.
And then they would sadly part ways, and Anakin would tell him, "I am sorry. Goodbye, old friend."
Neither of them want to be enemies, but are forbidden to be allies because they are now fighting for different causes.
Dude that would have been infinitely better.
And Obi-Wan, overpowered by Anakin's obvious strength, dual wields both his and Anakin's Jedi lightsabers near the end of the duel, allowing Obi-Wan to win.
Nathanial Tanis The actual ending is good. I think Obi-wan dual wielding would be ridiculous. Both of them should have their lightsabers till the end.
Still a better love story than twilight
Pre-wounds Vader looks so good with a red saber, dang!
Nathan White do... Do you mean Anakin?...
TCG Cardcast No...Vader....
TCG Cardcast- I agree with @Glock9ine , the one Obi Wan is dueling here is Vader. He may have the outward appearance of Anakin, but that is definitely Vader he’s fighting.
Oye vey... same guy. (Don’t be angry nerds)
@@TCGCardcast they're saying anakin skywalker has killed his personality but yes they are the same guy, they mean he's not anakin anymore they mean that he has turned evil he has become vader.
This feels so much better that he has a red lightsaber
Crazy to see Anakin wielding a red lightsaber to appear on Star Wars on-screen eventually
