    Bro I’ll suggest an easier method. Just put activated wine yeast in grape juice tetra pack which should be 3/4th full. Close the cap of tetra pack after squeezing the air out. Now in absence of air anaerobic reaction will trigger fermentation and the pack will swell in a day. Open the cap and again squeeze out the gases from the puffed up pack. Keep doing that for 12-15 days and drink straightaway. No equipment and airlock required and the wine produced will not be very sweet.

      Making wine in tetra pack can be risky. Yeast can react with the tetra pack lining
      That's why try to ferment in either glass container or stainless steel

    Thumbs up...Nice video I have been making wine like this for long time now. Please let all the Beginners know to always check the KCAL/100 grams on each juice pack. if it is anything between 50 -60/100ml, means that you already have 150 grams of fermentable sugars per liter in the pack. so just add 150 grams more for the first brew. they can harvest the yeast from the same batch for better sugar tolerance?? Ask me how.

    Hi bro,
    I like dry wines. However any fruit juices even that real 100% or tropicana 100% are somewhat sweet. Also we will need to add sugar in that juice to enable farmentation.
    What should I do to prepare a nice and dry red wine at home?

      Hi Sumantra, you can add less sugar so that sugar is Fermented completely and alcohol is also not less. If you use 100% fruit juice, chances of getting them as sweet wines is low. You the best option is to use fresh grapes from market

      Hi Zubin, yeast is a specific type of fungus that you add to your wine must which helps you in making wine. It converts sugar into alcohol.

    though i use fresh juice but
    good to see this
    for sanitizing use campden powder
    while doing first fermentation use peptic enzyme
    use red star premiere cauve wine yeast or lalvin.. ec1118
    at par flavor use tanin
    if you want it to be profesionally clear just like in shops use sparkloid
    i have been making wine since 2012
    and yes just to make your yeast work better use dap or any other yeast nutrients and also some raisins

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  4 года назад

      It's pectic enzyme. And it's used for making clear wines. Pectin is present in fruits which gives it's juice haziness. When we add pectinase (pectic enzyme), the pectin and other proteins are settled down in the bottom. This results in a clear wine.

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  4 года назад

      Tannins give you a good mouthful-ness to your wine. It adds body to your wine. A good natural source of tannins is tea (black tea)

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  4 года назад

      Sparkloid is not a yeast but an additive like pectinase which gives you clear fermentations. And it's used for beer rather than for wines.
      Coming on to yeasts, every yeast has it's own properties and characteristics. I recommend lalvin ec-1118 for high alcohol wines (up to 18%) and lalvin D47 for fruit wines (has more fruit flavours)

      @@HomebrewIndia when to add tea in wine? After completion of fermentation? Can it be added in other types of wine like litchi, mango? Or only in grape wine?

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  3 года назад

      Tea gives tannic structure to the wine. If you want tannins in mango wine, you can add tea. Add before Fermentation.
      But I like fruit wines without tannins so I don't add in wines like mango, and other fruits

      If fermentation airlock bubbles stop after 3 days of even a week, men its not ready. All you have to do is shake the bottle/container/bucket for 30 seconds and then place the bottle etc back where it was stored and then after a few seconds the fermentation will begin again and hopefully stops after a few weeks THEN your homemade brew/wine is ready

    I am planning to try this and had few questions:
    1. Before begining with fermentation can we add things like cinamon stick or cardimon or cloves just for spice taste? If yes, do we need to revisit the fermnation process to shuffle it periodically or just leave the jar as it is for 10 days?
    2. Post 10 days of fermentation once we bottle it then what is the recommended way of storage? Refrigerate?
    3. What will be its life? As we are not adding any preservative will it last long or its life is limited? If limited then how long?
    4. I am planning to add 500 gm sugar in 2 litr juice hope thats fine? How to understand the % of alochol the fermentation will create
    4. Do you have online clasess? If yes can you share details?

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  3 года назад +6

      1. Yes you can leave it there and it will give you a great taste.
      2. Prior to bottling, I recommend to keep the bottle upright as it is for 24 hrs and if you have corked it, then after ,24 hrs you can up it on the side. If you want to refrigerate, you can do that as well too.
      3. Without any preservatives, I suggest it will be all right for up to 3 years but to be on the safer side, let's say 2 years. I have stored a bottle (which has preservatives) for almost 1.5 years now and it doesn't seem to have any problems yet.
      4. To add sugar, you need to know it's current specific gravity. I assume you'll use tetra pack juice and it has a specific gravity of 1.060. Adding 500 grams in 2 litres will make it's gravity around 1.130. that's a bit high. I suggest you to add only 400-425 grams in the beginning and if it ferments fully, then later you can add more.
      5. Lastly, if you want to take online classes, please contact us on Instagram @homebrewindia ro get in touch!

    Tetrapacked juices already have high sugars and preservatives despite of they mention they don't add both so fermentation is less with those wine. I am brewing my wine since last 8 yrs and I have tried both fresh fruits and ready juices.
    Fresh fruits or ready juices both need at least 3 weeks even if started fermentation in March April's 35 to 42 degree temperature, it needs time to get clear, transparent and well fermented wine. It's not good to consume wine before 20 days as it contains active yeast. I choose to keep my wine at least for 25 days in fermentation jars, then siphoned it and keep it for 2 weeks again before consuming it. This wine tastes best with time passing and for 2 yrs it gives best taste and kick. It dsnt get spoil after 2 years too.

    I have followed your instructions absolutely and have finally ended up with nothing but acid.There is absolutely no taste either of wine or alcohol. My first attempt used wine yeast from Amazon.India. Fermentation did in fact occur for five days as could be seen by the bubbles rising up through the air lock. After twelve days the product tasted absolutely like pure acid. The second attempt I used very expensive Red Wine Yeast from Arishtam and the end result was exactly the same with fermentation lasting seven days. The third attempt I used an even more expensive Sparkling Wine High Alcohol Yeast from Aristham fermentation lasted for ten days and the final result was exactly te same as the previous two . I had used 6% Hygrogen Peroxide for sanitizing the fermenter and other vessels used. I would greatly appreciate your analysis as to what went wrong and would it make sense to try a fourth attempt. Thank you hopefully.

      You can take it up to 1.100 and get around 11-12% abv (considering it will be left with some unfermentable sugar)
      You need to increase it's SG (let's say by 40 point)

    Could please guide me for below questions?
    1. After fully completion of fermentation, wine little smelled of yeast and gas, how can we remove it?
    2. Could please provide tips of wine aging?
    Thanks.

    • @HomebrewIndia
      @HomebrewIndia  4 года назад +3

      Yeast smell will go away with aging. You can simply store the wine in bottle and leave it in a cool dark place for aging.
      Also, to remove the gas, you may stir the wine in your bottling bucket or the container you put your wine in before bottling (before adding to the bottle and after removing the wine from fermenter so that the yeast has settled down and is not mixed up again). But don't stir very vigorously. Doing so will add oxygen to it (which we don't want). When you'll stir it slowly, you'll be able to listen to the gas bubbles popping out and your wine will be be degassed 😄

    I've seen videos making this type of 'pruno' wine and some of them mentioned that the juice needs to be 100%.the local stores in my neighborhood have the exact type of brand juices you used in the videos but I was kinda scared to try it out since it didn't say on the carton that they're 100% and I'm too lazy to check the ingredients....... Are the ones you used in the videos the typical ones you found on stores? I didn't understand what you said at 1:33 since I don't speak hindi

      Agar aapko yeast se dikkat hai toh app beer/wine mat lijiye. Aap lijiye distilled spirits like whisky, vodka, rum, gin. And yeh distill ghar pe nai hogi. Aapko bazar (wine shop) se leni padegi
