Steve - Bless you for posting this. We have a puppy that ran under the bed and did who knows what under there in all of about 60 seconds. He raised one side of the bed up 30% and then the remote quit working for that one side. I was able to sync it with just one cycle of the green button method. Worked like a champ. You da man!!! I can sleep tonight…until the puppy wakes us all up LOL. Have a good one. -Marc
Awesome- thank you Steve Brown! I had removed the two 9V batteries first - they were toast. Then found the video on locating the 1.5A fuse on the power supply - yep it was blown. That first video referred me to your video. This beats waiting and waiting for TP Tech Service to call me back.
Thanks for posting this. My remote started to control both sides a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t fix it so I just unplugged my side of the bed. This worked!
I believe the controller can memorize up to 3 remotes hence why doing it 3 times erases any other remote and only uses that one. If you wanted to sync 2 remotes to both sides of the bed, you simply do this process once with one remote and one more time with the 2nd remote. But you're only pressing the learn button one time for each remote. Otherwise you would cancel each of them out if you did it 3 times. Thanks Steve for posting. I had to do this many years ago but couldn't remember how to do it. And needed to reset ours since we just got new Twin XL toppers for our King bed and needed to separate the remotes so that they only control one side vs where each remote controlled both sides at once before when we had a single large King top mattress.
I had to buy a new remote. It didn't work out of the box. Luckily I found this video. The video saved me a lot of grief due to me thinking the remote was defective. Reset it based on his instructions and my new remote worked perfectly. Thank you for posting!!
After calling 5 different companies I ended up in New York with a nice person on the other end who said 3 times, program it 3 times each side. Thank you for sharing Steven. Now you get some good sleep. I love my Tempur Pedic.
Your very welcome. It was frustrating not finding my remote and instructions on You Tube. After making 4 calls all over the country I found the answer. Glad it helped.
Mike mog You might try replacing the batteries. It has 2 nine volt batteries inside the black box. I had your problem and new batteries fixed it. Hope that helps you!
Thank you so much for posting this!! I don't know how you figured out the process because it's nowhere to be found in the manual. The sales person at the Tempurpedic store wanted to resolve the problem by selling me a new bed base. 😂
One more huge "thank you" from me. Maybe you or someone else can advise, why my remote has to go through this reset process at least 3 times a month recently. I have this remote that was working without any issue for many years, and now that's happening way too often.
FYI, I had intermittent problems with this remote model working. I finally looked at the receiver boxes. The side that worked did not turn on the green LED until the remote was in use, The non-working side, had the green LED on constantly. The problem was the reset button was rubbing on the case opening thus turning on the LED and blocking normal operations. I used a needle nose pliers to release the Reset button, voia it worked..
Buying a new bed 😂😂 If your remote is not working that doesn’t mean you need a new bed but probably a new remote control. Now I understand why in this country people throw money away for nothing.
You're most welcome. I was driving myself nuts trying to make it work with one pass until the factory told me it's 3 times on both sides. Thanks for your comment!
Hello Steve! I found your channel by searching RUclips, and I have the same older model remote. When I press the red button on the black box, I get a red light. I have checked the fuse (just in case), but I cannot get the bed to move up/down after changing the batteries in the black box and remote. Would you have any insight on this problem?
It could be a bigger problem with the fuse under the bed. Does the bed remote work at all? Mine ended up needing an entire new bed frame. The fuse is hard to find because it's black along with everything else. It is of course a special fuse I found at Home Depot. You can always try on line at ruclips.net/user/redirect?event=comments&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbFF4TkZSMXZEeDE5Z3JhMFlubUl2SkUtaGZYZ3xBQ3Jtc0tsWHNZZG95NUpNaHZtV2cxMi12RUtUcGxmQ1hTemtSMHBLaDlOWV9YQUg3VmpjRDhHTkVZdjBvb0hXenBNcks1UXFuU244SllCaUR1X013M2VCZ1lHU3ZBQU0xeHJFUVQtMjBQa2dWVU0tcUhIQWpYdw&q=https%3A%2F%2Freverie.com%2F&stzid=UgzT5A-apkEUQOqHnWh4AaABAg.9By6JlMC3CH9BzB3N83QKt and look under support.
Do you know what to do if the green light doesn’t blink after pressing a button? I was given this bed by a friend and replaced the batteries but can’t get it to function. Power on bed and remote seem to be on.
It could be the tube fuse for the motor. It is black and very hard to see but it's there. I had to get them at Home Depot because they are odd ones. Or you could end up like me having to replace the whole bottom bed for $600.00.
These are hard to find. I would see about fixing the wires on the box if the is still okay. These are a Reverie product. The number on my remote is 1 800 979 1457. I think this lead my after many tries to the folks who told me how to reset the bed. It was a long week. Good luck and share the number once you find it. Steve
Did you ever get help with this? There is a fuse in the power box bolted to the bed. Mine went out too. My problem was bigger than the fuse. I called the company and they do sell parts but they also sell the whole bed frame for 650.00 or so. With that you get a 3 year warranty. I swapped parts from the good side to the bad side in hopes of finding the problem component. Now they both are broken. So I don't recommend you do that. I purchased the fuse at Home Depot for 5 bucks. It kept blowing. My wife wanted to invest in a Sleep Number Bed instead of fixing the others. She loves the new bed and so do I. So from a $5.00 fuse went to a $8,000.00 bed! Life happens. Good luck. Here is the phone number 800.973.8374 for Reverie
You can lower it but not raise it using the black box underneath the bed. It takes 9 VT batteries 2 if I remember correctly and a button to press to lower the bed without it being plugged in. If that doesn't work I would call Reverie.
Hello there. I tried your method. Not sure what to do. Both remotes keep operating both sides simultaneously. Can't get them to work independently. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm sorry it didn't work. You must do the reset 3 times before it works. You might want to try calling the manufacture or go to their site reverie.com/ for more help. Hope you find relief soon.
I got Reverie to send new remotes as they admitted to the remotes I have not being capable of working independently on our bases. They said it was a known issue and they replaced my old remotes with the newer style ones.
I know this is an old video but what happens if I can’t get the green light to come up. I’ve tried and nothing but if I press the red square button a red light comes on. What am I doing wrong? 🤦🏻♀️
Check to be sure the bed is plugged in. If it is then the fuse most likely has blown. It's located in the power supply box attached to the bed. It's hard to see because everything is black. It's a 1.5 amp small fuse you can get at Home Depot. My bed however was beyond the fuse. Something else was shorting out causing it to blow. Reverie told me a new frame would cost 650.00 or so.
Sounds like you may have moisture causing the short circuit. It's easy to open and clean inside. Try that first and if you have no luck, I have a used one from my bed you could have.
@@tmkilpatrick53 I'm sorry to hear that. It is an awful feeling with a stuck bed. You can have my remote to try. I don't think they are made anymore. You can find me at steve stults brown on face book and send me a message through Messenger with your address. Don't do it here.
