Braxton I’m not totally sure how to engage child lock but this video actually shows you how to disengage the function. The bed was always paired apparently. I’m so happy this video helped you! I too changed my batteries. That’s usually the problem in my house!

Tempurpedic needs to give you a Customer’s Customer Service of the Year reward! Followed their instructions for unlocking (without success) and then found your video. God bless you for making this! Crawled around for a couple hours, replaced cords and batteries, followed their directions. You fixed problem in under two minutes. Now I can sleep tonight!

I must thank you so much for putting this information on RUclips where I could find it. Unfortunately I bought my bed a year-and-a-half ago and can't find the paperwork. What you said to do worked perfectly. Thank you so very much!!
I found if you hold the head up and down button for 10 seconds it will lock the remote. And your trick of holding both foot buttons down will unlock the remote. It’s a child lock feature. I think mine got locked by accident rather than being unpaired. The cute button is the pair button. It is used when you get a new remote. I think what you did was simply to unlock the remote. Your tip worked for me. Thank you.
I just found your video tonight, THANK YOU! I tried different methods I saw in different videos but nothing. So awesome that 2 yrs after you made this video you still are helping people like me. I was worried that my bed was out of warranty & was freaking out about where am I going to get another remote.

Thank you so much for this info. Manual only has initial pairing instructions, which was useless due to fact of me not being able to get to the back up box because the smart people that installed the bed did not make accessible. So this repairing video was extremely helpful. Thanks again🙏🙏
Thank you for your posting. To clarify, you aren’t pairing the system but rather just unlocking your remote. Holding down the left up/down buttons locks the remote and the right ones unlocks (child safe mode). I’ve put it in lock mode by accident a couple of times now and forget how to unlock it each time. Once again thanks for the posting so I can be back in adult mode.

Thank you for this video I just reset mine. I bought the bed because I have lower back problems and I just had L4-L5 Lumbar fusion surgery and my bed stopped working today. 1/8/21 I tried plugging and unplugging it with no luck. My wife was looking for the warranty paperwork and i thought RUclips. Bless your heart ❤️ for this video. My bed is working as it should again.

Man! I am soooo happy I found you, I was like, OMG am I going to have to sleep sitting straight up? I changed batteries, unplugged the base and I was so confused because the lights were coming on but the bed was not budging. I appreciate this. Big struggle working in a furniture trying to figure this one out, but to pair the remote for the first time that little blue button above the batteries will come in handy. You will find the a power source in the bottom of the base typically hanging on either the end of the left or right side. You will find a button on that power source and click it twice and once the lights from the base come on you hold down that little button above the batteries in the remote until it starts flashing blue. You should be paired up.
This is how you pair it. The title of this video is super misleading.

I cannot thank you enough for this video...my butt was about to sleep on a self made palate on the floor. My bed was all kinds of jacked up. Not adjust to sleep in...odd thing was I flattened it this morning and got home and it was oddly adjusted...only conclusion is I set something on my bed on top of remote and jacked it up. I was trying everything, even changed batteries. This video was a god send.

Well Kay, I woke up during the nite last nite and couldn't get my remote to work.. So, today, I read your suggestions, and tryed them. NOTHING. So I spent and hour going thru endless suggestions as to what to do.. Than the very first one in the last post I read was. Make sure you have bed plugged in. Sure enough, I had tossed a pillow over the edge and unplugged it.. Then I used your idea, and everythings back to normal... Thanks.. Jim.. Yes, I'm a guy.

Wish the installers had given us this very simple instruction.
It’s actually a child lock feature on the remote. You can turn the setting on and off.
