    A big shout out to the Alliance RV group on Facebook at bit.ly/3wNUlnz for recommending this RV! I like the way Alliance always finds a little way to do things slightly differently. The repositioning of the half-bath on this model definitely helps make it feel like you don't have a toilet IN the kitchen!

    A question/concern popped in my head the other day and i figured i would wait till it was relevant to a vid or close. i get the double Axdel walls and enclosed under belly , tank heaters, 4 season "rating" . what i dont get is they have all this insulating stuff then have a bunch of windows that have the R value of 2. which lets all your heat/AC out.. i understand some people dont care and want the windows. some may be in an area that has really nice weather so open windows is fine. i know you just show case them and you are not the builder. i think a good point in future vids where it is applicable is to mention the R value of the windows on the RVs that claim "4 seasons" or 0 degree rated temps. i know in these times it maybe hard to get better windows as stated in a previous vid. But i feel some Brands maybe trying to pull a fast one. or rather not informing buyers of certain features negated by others. just my thoughts. good vid

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 года назад +1

      Those tests measure consistent temps over time but the windows are a major heat lost point. Pulling the shades down actually helps a lot
      More windows is more of a problem in that regard though. I think that’s one of the ways older RVs Health temperature seemingly more easily. They had fewer and smaller windows

    • @stevez340
      @stevez340 2 года назад

      If an RV is “0-100” rated I think it should at least have R2 double pane windows to help with condensation but in general there is virtually no insulating value in any window☹️

    I really like the half bath being right next to the entry door. Speaking as an older person now into my 70s, when I need to go, it's ALWAYS urgent. (Part of that would be the water pills for my high blood pressure medications !) I like the contrasting color scheme. I hate same color throughout. Really, really love the kitchen. I still enjoy cooking and baking. That rear storage with the slide is amazing!

      @@JoshtheRVNerd I wish there was some way to use differing colors in the living room. Brown on brown or brown on black or gray shades.. yuk! Boring! Throw pillows and blankets are nice but just camouflage! I like the contrasting colors & stitching used in some travel trailers on the dinette & sofa cushions. Light & dark that you can change up. I'm not saying bring back plaids! Maybe it can be offered as a limited option from the factory? Also, no more glass fronts in o/h cabinets. Eventually it will break. Then your stuff goes everywhere along with glass shards. Just saying)

      @@JoshtheRVNerd thank you for asking, that’s very kind. If they broke up the brown with more of the creamy colored cabinets it would brighten it up. I realize that RV manufacturers use a lot of brown because it’s neutral, universal, and people like it but personally I’d like to see more honey tones. The current color seems muddy and flat, tho perhaps that may have been the lighting. When you would showcase an area, say the living room, because everything is in the same color and tone, the furniture, widow dressing, flooring, cabinets, it tends to look flat and your eye doesn’t settle on any of the wonderful details. It’s not so much that they used browns, I just feel the space would be warmer and more inviting if they brightened, lightened and varied the tones. That being said, it’s a gorgeous and beautifully built RV. The quality is immediately evident and the manufacturer and their employees should be very proud of the product they put out. Again, thanks for asking Josh, your videos are the highlight of my evenings!

Saw it on RVTravel today.I wish that the master bath was "flipped" so the w/d was on the camp side...sorta/maybe balance the weight since the fridge/kitchen is already on the road side. Other than that, great rear bathroom!!! Also, would have liked more CCC...Fresh tank, adding a 'ton' of solar, etc., is gonna eat up a lot of the CCC. Nice that it's warrantied for FT.

    That nook in the bedroom IS kinda weird. I do think a CPAP use would be awkward. But then I thought it might be a good place for a Google Home display maybe? You'd have to angle it somehow for proper viewing. But it's what we use for our bedroom alarm clock these days. So ... yeah ... weird, but not necessarily a waste. This is a great unit but with one MAJOR exception. The sewer is under the slide. I didn’t see the dump valves, but if they are under that slide this would be a disaster for seniors! You would have to crawl under the slide to empty the tanks. Especially if you were camping in one location for an extended period of time. Would be great if it had electric dump valves. Otherwise a near perfect fifth wheel.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 года назад

      I believe the pulls for the valves are in the docking station (common for many FWs). So if you were setup with full time sewer, then you could hook up before opening slides
      But I'm operating from a bit of memory here and frankly Terry I may be mistaken. I see so many RVs little details like that get blurry at times

    1)Please option a white/farmhouse feel inside. The brown is just so dated. 2) Please change up the dinning room table options. I'd like to see more of a table with chairs that face the windows. 3) Why not a television on a "televator" with a window behind it. 4) Include a fireplace in the bedroom. 5) Have a walk-in pantry instead of the 1/2 bath. On the other side, this is a very good company and backs their customers. Certainly a top 3 that we are looking at...Jayco Pinnacle and Van Leigh Vilano/Beacon are the other two. But we hear great things about the customer service from Alliance.

      I'd venture the reason for the half-bath is that the full bath is on the other side of the master suite... when you're guests have explosive diarrhea at 2am from the undercooked fish, it's nice they have their own toilet to visit instead of having to bust in on the wife and I gettin' busy ... just sayin' ... I think a half bath is a requirement any time the main bath is on the other side of the master!

    I apologize for posting this here as I've been unable to find answers.
    I am researching doing RV sales as a career change and wanted to know if you have the monthly historical %'s so that I can learn about the seasonality variation in cold weather climates versus warm weather climates? If the job is primarily or totally commission, I don't want to feast in the Spring / early Summer and experience famine in the Fall and Winter!
    For example in another industry, when I owned a health club, January, due to New Year's Resolutions, would result in a 50% increase in membership sales (~ 13% of annual sales versus ~ 8% average month) and July would be the worst @ 5%).
    I've read that the lowest months are typically December and January and the highest months are and I'm guessing here, are April or May?
    Thanks for your insight!

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 года назад

      First of all no apologies needed! That's a metric I also would be curious to see but I unfortunately have no data myself I can offer
      Dec is most definitely the slowest month for sales volume
      Highest volume months in my experience tend to be june/july though that may be slanted by my Michigan-based experience and the seasons we get here
      I could see some areas like Florida reporting different results

    • @patrickio8084
      @patrickio8084 2 года назад

      @@JoshtheRVNerd Interesting that sales would peak in June / July and not April / May to take advantage of late Spring / early Summer weather. So in a true 4-season climate like yours in Michigan, for every 10 sales made @ peak in Summer, what would you guess that figure drops to in Winter?
