Making Parrot Chop

Parrot chop is cut up fruits and vegetables which is given to your bird daily. For the average parrot we recommend feeding around 40% fruits/veggies/sprouts, 50% pellets, and 10% choice grade seeds and nuts.

You're chop looks delicious! Love all of the colour! My flock are fussy and won't eat it if I freeze it as they love the crunch so I usually make a week's worth and try and use the veggies that are going in the chop in our meals too to try and reduce waste!

You can purchase sprouts at local supermarkets occasionally. Otherwise, you can grow your own by purchasing safe seeds & legumes suitable for sprouting. We have a safe sprouts list in our Facebook album "avian diet and care". We also have a video on sprouting.
