Sunlight👉

Watering👉
The leaves of the rubber plants are thick, broad, and quite hard, which means the leaves can hold more water as well as the evaporation rate is low. So water when 60% of the soil feels dry.
Humidity👉
The rubber plants are native to Southeast Asia and they do prefer more than 50% humidity.
Potting Soil👉
The Potting Mix Recipe for Rubber Plant or Ficus Elastica Plant 👉
- 2 parts garden soil
- 1 part cocopeat
- 2 parts compost
- 1 part rice husk
- 1 part charcoal
Fertilizer👉
Spring is the perfect time to fertilize rubber plants. Use nitrogen-rich fertilizer or 1:1:1 rational npk fertilizer for optimum growth.
Pest👉
Mix 1/6 teaspoon of soap or shampoo and 1 teaspoon of neem oil in a liter of water. And wipe the dust from the plant leaves.
How to get big & bushy rubber plant?👉
Tip pruning promotes multiple growths but it is more effective on mature thick-stem rubber plants, those have enough potential to promote multiple growths otherwise young rubber plants most of the time form a single shoot after tip pruning.

Hi my rubber plant shed all is leave and stem is brown now as I exposed to sunlight in UK Jan month.Can I do the cuttings (propagate) and try to save it.

I had my rubber plant inside the house, it was dying slowly. So i took it outside (direct morning sunlight outside) it started growing so fast. Now it is tall . Its still summer here in South Africa so not sure what to do with it in Winter 😮.
Protect from overwintering. Keep indoors beside a south-facing window. Make sure the plant is still receiving a good amount of sunlight. Reduce watering. Water thoroughly when 70% soil feels dry. Best of luck🌷🌱🌷🌱❄️❄️

Hi, I have just bought my first rubber plant. A friend has told me that to encourage it to grow I should re-pot it in a big pot in order to provide plenty of room for the roots, this makes sense to me. What do you think? and do you have any tips on how to encourage growth. Thanks.
Actually, a large-sized pot doesn’t improve the growth of the plant until the plant actually needs a large pot! Choose pots based on the plant's root ball. So you can minimize overwatering issues. Rubber plants are susceptible to overwatering. Better start with an 8-inch pot if the root ball is around 6 inches. And increase the pot size once a year if needed., 🌸☘️☘️
How to reproduce rubber planþýppppp
Another important care tip is to NOT use any tap water on these plants. I’ve had two of them and they both lost all of their leaves very quickly, browning almost immediately 😢. I just purchased my third one and have had it for a month and a half now using only distilled water and she is standing strong, beautiful, and healthy 💪🏽🪴🫶🏽
I just bought the plant online, it came with compost around the plant . Now can u give me some suggestion how to care of it in its initial stage. All I can provide for now is soil and fertiliser
Simply repot the plant using the potting mix I have shared or using indoor plant soil mix. Water thoroughly. And water again when 50%-60% soil feels dry. Rubber plant likes to dry out between watering. Keep the plant in a bright place (1-2 hours of bright indirect light) for a week to adjust the plant to the new environment. Gradually shift the plant to the brightest place or a place where the plant will receive around 2-3 hours of direct sunlight.
You can spray diluted fungicide solution once a week to prevent fungal infestation. Fertilizer in spring with nitrogen-rich fertilizer. Best of luck 🌷🌷🌸

You better take out the plant from the container and check the roots, if the plant has root rot, remove the rotted portions, and wash the roots using a fungicide solution. Then repot using fresh well-draining soil. Or can try out the potting soil recipe I have shared in this video... Best of luck☘️☘️🌷🌷🌸

My rubber plant which I brought 3 months back has 2 leaves sprouting but they are not growing still same from last 2 months , how much time they take the leave to grow fully
Provide more sun if your plant is in a dark place. It is considered as an indoor plant or low-light plant, but Ficuses need at least 2-3 hours of direct sunlight or 4-5 hours of bright indirect light for proper growth. 🌱😊😊🌷🌷

Summer is the growing period for the rubber plants. So after tip pruning, the plant needs a good amount of light exposure to sprout out. Try to keep the plant in the brightest place you have if the plant is not receiving enough sun. Use nitrogen-rich fertilizers such as fish emulsion, fish meal, and cow manure to encourage new growth. 🌷🌷🌱🌱
