    The Ruby Elastica is gorgeous! We had a large Ficus Audrey on my campus aeons ago. It was so large and had beautiful roots. Thanks again. 😊

    I always struggle with the water stains on these leaves. Do you mind sharing what you use? Yours are stunning!

      Thanks so much for your sweet comment Debbie! So nice of you. I either use a vinegar/water mixture or a lemon/water mixture. I have an new video covering the different cleaning solutions here: ruclips.net/video/Fi0TbHy2nnQ/видео.htmlsi=V1uYHDjdsidWRNAn

    Are these kin to the uforbia family

    • @moodyblooms
      @moodyblooms  10 месяцев назад +2

      Euphorbia is the fourth-largest genus of flowering plants (about 5,000 species currently identified) and in the family Euphorbiaceae. Ficus is a genus of about 850 species of woody trees, shrubs, vines, epiphytes and hemiepiphytes in the family Moraceae.
      They both have a latex sap, but the plant uses it for different reasons. When injured, the latex of Euphorbia plants takes a long time to harden. This gives the plant time to deliver a cocktail of poisonous compounds to stop biting insects. Ficus latex on the other hand hardens rapidly, sealing the wound to prevent infection and fluid loss.
